Chapter 45 -  To Rule the World!

Whiteflame leapt into the air, balancing effortlessly atop barely visible threads, his gaze fixed on the massive plume of dust and smoke rising in the distance. Thunderous booms echoed across the battlefield.

"Whoa! Look at all those animals!"

"And all those biscuit soldiers—what even are those?!"

Rebecca's voice came from behind him.

She stood alongside Baby-5 and Monet, all three of them on a sky bridge made of snow, shaped like a staircase from the ship's deck, complete with guardrails sculpted from ice.

"That's Jack the Drought from the Beasts Pirates," Monet said.

"And those biscuit soldiers… if I'm not mistaken, they belong to Charlotte Cracker, one of the Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates. His Biscuit Army is infamous—wherever they go, they crush all opposition. He's helped Big Mom conquer countless territories."

As a former spy and undercover agent, Monet naturally knew far more about high-level pirate activity than most.

Whiteflame turned to glance at her, surprised.

"Looks like you're still useful."

Their eyes met, and—surprisingly—Monet's cheeks flushed just slightly before she quickly composed herself.

Whiteflame paid it no mind and turned his focus back to the battlefield.

"The elite officers of the Yonko… they're on a whole different level."

"Three Disasters. Sweet Commanders."

"Each bounty higher than the last… and the power they wield makes Doflamingo look like a joke."

His eyes narrowed, and battlelust surged within them.

He hadn't come here just to avenge Angel Town by confronting Jack the Drought. What really brought him here—what stirred his soul—was the promise of a worthy fight.

The kind of battle that could shake the heavens. A clash with titans. A fight to the death.

Watching Jack and Cracker tear into each other, Whiteflame's blood began to boil with excitement.

"I see him—Caesar!"

"Over there, on the other side of the island! He's on the Beasts Pirates' ship!"

Baby-5 pointed toward a pirate vessel docked at the far shore, flying the Beasts Pirates' flag. She instantly recognized Caesar's lanky silhouette aboard the deck.

"If we recover Caesar, it'll be a huge advantage for you," Monet said calmly.

"A huge advantage?" Whiteflame raised an eyebrow, lips curling. "Aside from fake Devil Fruits and gigantification research, what else has he got?"

"That's already more than enough," Monet replied.

"Before the Young Master—no, before Joker got Caesar, he didn't even qualify to talk to Kaido. But after he acquired Caesar's artificial Devil Fruits, he formed a tight partnership with Kaido."

"Not only that, in the black market, artificial Devil Fruits are so rare they practically don't exist. Just one can sell for an astronomical price. That's why everyone scrambled to work with Joker… it's how he became the king of the underworld."

Her point was crystal clear:

Whoever controls Caesar, controls the underworld.

With Caesar, Whiteflame could seize influence over pirates, assassins, warlords, and even corrupt world governments.

Money, power, fame—everything would come flooding in.

"You're thinking about my future?" Whiteflame gave Monet a sidelong glance.

Her cheeks colored again, but she said nothing.

"I get what you're saying," he added. "But Caesar means nothing to me. This war, on the other hand… that's what I came for."

His eyes burned as he watched the chaos between Jack and Cracker unfold.

"Give up on this idea," Monet warned.

"I know you're strong enough to beat Joker, but these two? They're both in a league far above him. Joker was dangerous, sure—but compared to these monsters, he's nothing."

"You should be playing it smart—stay low, gather strength, build a crew."

Whiteflame just shook his head.

He finally understood what Monet was thinking.

She saw him as the next Pirate King—a man to follow into the storm of the New Era. She believed he could carve a bloody path through the ranks of the world's strongest, eventually rising to rule the Grand Line itself.

Now it made sense—why she hadn't chosen death after Doflamingo's fall, why she'd gotten along so easily with Rebecca and Baby-5.

She worshipped strength. And Whiteflame's power had reshaped her faith.

"Lie low, gather strength, build a crew with no-name pirates and draw in elite fighters using money and status… sure, that worked for Doflamingo. That's how many reached the top."

"But me?" Whiteflame said, grinning.

"To rule the world—I don't need anyone else."

He said it with quiet certainty.

Somewhere deep in his soul, something had clicked.

If he was going to live forever, then why waste that life in obscurity?

Why not shake the very foundations of the world?

Let the entire sea remember his name.

Let history be ruled by his eternal will.

"In that case… let's start with you two."

With a flick of his fingers, Whiteflame launched his cigarette into the wind.

"You three stay here. I'll go say hello."

And with that, he stepped onto his invisible threads and sprinted through the sky toward the battlefield.

"Does he always ignore warnings like that?" Monet sighed.

"Monet-nee, you shouldn't underestimate Whiteflame!" Baby-5 said proudly.

"Just look at his back—it's so cool! He's my man, after all!"

Monet glanced toward the battlefield, her voice low.

"Let's just hope… he makes it out in one piece.

Those two out there… are far more dangerous than Joker ever was."
