Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: A New Discovery About Instant Transmission, A Journey to the Underworld

The first wish shone across Namek's sky and revived all lives on Earth that had died because of Vegeta and Nappa.

If Goku, Krillin, and Gohan had been left to decide the wish alone, they would have revived only their companions. They would never have remembered every Earthling slain by Nappa—never mind the cats, dogs, and small animals wiped out during the invasion.

But with this wish, every life lost returned.

The second wish followed Vegeta's instruction.

Since he had already stepped in, they might as well resolve everything in the most efficient way so they would not have to wait another full cycle to summon Porunga again.

They wished for Earth's Kami, Piccolo, and Mr Popo to gather the Earth Dragon Balls as quickly as possible and revive all Namekians killed by Frieza.

Earth's Dragon Balls had a quirk: when the creator died and was revived, the cooldown vanished and they could be used again shortly afterward.

Just as in the original story.

Namek was different.

When the Great Elder died and the title passed to Moori, the cooldown did not reset. Even after Moori later upgraded Porunga, that rule remained fixed.

Perhaps if the Great Elder himself could be revived, the cooldown would refresh—

but the dragon could not revive one who died of natural causes.

Not even Porunga.

Only Super Shenron held such authority.

So they used Earth's wish instead.

One moment later, all the slain Namekians opened their eyes again on Namek.

Then, after conferring with Moori—the newly appointed Great Elder—the revived Namekians understood the situation clearly. They had already met the departed Great Elder in Heaven while awaiting reincarnation. They knew everything.

With the second wish completed, Porunga received the third.

A new planet.

A world shaped specifically for Namekian life.

A new home with partially concealed coordinates, hidden from the universe to prevent another catastrophe.

The third wish transported everyone on Namek to the new planet—

Except Vegeta, Bulma, Goku, Krillin, and Gohan.

Just as the wish was being carried out, something unexpected happened.

Nail refused to leave.

He remained firmly on Namek.

Dende stayed with him as well.

Both felt they could still contribute. Cooler was coming. Their homeworld was entering its final chapter. They wanted to stand here one last time.

Vegeta did not object.

He had no intention of remaining here himself.

Cooler's arrival was imminent, but truthfully, Vegeta did not even need to act.

With Goku's current strength, he could defeat Cooler.

The protagonist of the original story needed his own stage.

If he could not handle Cooler, that would be ridiculous.

Vegeta's own base power had already risen above fifteen million.

Fully transformed, his Full Power Super Saiyan reached one billion and two hundred million.

Goku's base had risen even more rapidly than expected and was likely around eight million now.

His full-power Super Saiyan form could reach nearly four hundred million.

And they still had half a month before Cooler arrived.

Plenty of time.

As for how Nail and Dende would get to New Namek?

Simple.

Porunga had provided the coordinates. They could take a spaceship.

And with King Kai sensing the location, reaching the new world was easy.

The concealment applied only to ordinary beings.

Gods could easily locate it.

There was also another option:

Vegeta himself.

Porunga had directly fed the spatial coordinates of New Namek into Vegeta's mind.

His upgraded Instant Transmission could use those coordinates as an anchor.

He would not need to sense ki at all.

This was one of the refinements Pybara had taught him.

Anywhere Vegeta had been, anywhere he had imprinted with his spiritual signature, anywhere he had exact coordinates—he could teleport to instantly.

After everything settled, Vegeta had Dende heal his injuries.

Then he prepared to take Bulma and leave Namek, ignoring Goku's burning desire to fight again.

But King Kai contacted him again.

Or rather—

Piccolo, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha had just been revived in the Otherworld.

They asked King Kai to request Vegeta's help.

They wanted Vegeta to teleport them from the underworld to Namek.

They assumed Vegeta could only teleport across the living worlds.

They did not yet understand the true potential of Instant Transmission.

Vegeta could go to the underworld right now.

Directly.

King Kai, however, had a different approach in mind.

He intended for them to return to Earth first, then send Earth's spatial coordinates to Vegeta. With this, Vegeta could instantly warp to Earth at any time.

If that failed, they would release their ki at full force for Vegeta to lock onto.

It was a good method.

Vegeta needed Earth's coordinates anyway.

But Vegeta did not follow King Kai's plan.

He paused, considered—

Then used telepathy:

"Give me Earth's coordinates first. I want to test something. I intend to see whether my Instant Transmission can jump using coordinate data alone."

This was no small test.

If it worked, he would never again need a spaceship for interstellar travel.

Everyone present fell silent.

Bulma held her breath, unable to hide her hope.

She had been away from Earth for almost half a year.

Every part of her longed for home.

King Kai responded:

"I have transmitted Earth's coordinates. Try it."

A flow of spatial data entered Vegeta's mind.

He felt the structure, the orientation, the galactic position—everything.

For a moment, he understood how deities traveled space.

And then—

Vegeta vanished.

Completely. Instantly.

Bulma staggered.

Goku and the others froze.

"Did it work?" Bulma whispered.

Goku's eyes lit up.

"So that is Instant Transmission…! After we deal with Cooler, I have to go to Yardrat and learn this myself!"

He had wanted to learn it for months, but he could not leave Namek while a threat approached.
