Yue Yue looked at the floating orb. It was still beautiful, but the thin crack remained. Yue Yue turned to Cang Yuze, her voice soft but full of confusion.
"How could so many parasites suddenly appear here?" she asked.
"This place should be the most sacred and the most purified area in the entire Sea Empire. The orb's power is so strong and concentrated here. How could they survive inside the orb's purification energy? Isn't the orb's main task to push back the darkness and pollution and keep the palace and the whole empire safe?"
Cang Yuze nodded slowly. His face looked heavy. "I don't know, Yue Yue. From childhood, we have all been taught that the orb's most sacred duty is to push back darkness and pollution. But now… we have seen parasites clinging to the orb itself, trying to destroy it, and they were not even affected by its power. Most importantly, we could not even see them with our own eyes. This is truly terrifying."
