"Cheese-nee is still too green! In other games, HP is your life. In Yu-Gi-Oh, your LP only has two states: 'full' and 'zero'!"
"Let me add something to the one in front: especially since the guy just said 'like a flickering candle in the wind'—that's a taboo line in dueling! Somebody pour that man a cappuccino already~!"

After adding the searched card to his hand, Yusaku smirked confidently.
"Appear, circuit that guides the path to the future!"
"Link!?" Divana frowned.
"Link Arrows confirmed. Summoning condition: 1 Dragon or Spellcaster monster, Level 4 or lower!"
"I use the Spellcaster monster on my field, Sage with Eyes of Blue, to link!"
"The circuits converge and weave into a new wind that pierces the world! Link Summon, Link-1—Spirit with Eyes of Blue!!"
The sage cloaked in gray dissolved into a streak of azure light and shot into the mesh of circuits hanging in midair. The Link Arrow in the bottom-left[↙]suddenly flared to life.
Under the thunderous hum, scattered motes of light condensed into form—a palm-sized mini Blue-Eyes White Dragon, yet radiating a terrifying draconic aura. The gleam sliding over its scales was so sharp it made people squint.

After adding the card, Yusaku drew out another and flipped it up.
"Effect of [Maiden of White]."
"This card's effect: I can send it to the GY to place 1 [True Light] from my hand, Deck, or GY face-up in my Spell & Trap Zone."
Yusaku slid the card into his Duel Disk.
"I send Maiden of White to the GY, and place 1 [True Light] from my Deck face-up on the field!"
After setting the card that popped from the Duel Disk, Yusaku continued.
"I activate [True Light]!"
"This card lets me set 1 Spell/Trap from my Deck that lists 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' in its text, as long as I don't already control or have it in my GY."
"I set the Quick-Play Spell [Wishes for Eyes of Blue] from my Deck!"
Once the card was neatly placed, Yusaku immediately flipped it up.
"I activate the Spell Card—[Wishes for Eyes of Blue]!"
"I discard 1 card as cost. Then I add 1 Spell/Trap that mentions 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' in its text—other than itself—and 1 Level 1 LIGHT Tuner from my Deck to my hand."

Divana wondered if he'd misheard something just now.
He could've sworn he just heard a very cursed card name mixed in there…
"Next, I activate the effect of [Mausoleum of White] in my hand!"
The moment the card hit the field, pure white radiance erupted beneath Yusaku's feet.
The light surged outward at an astonishing speed, swallowing the entire stage. When the glow finally receded, the stone tiles underfoot had vanished, replaced by a vast, sacred hall of silver-white marble bathed in holy brilliance.
"As long as [Mausoleum of White] is in the Field Zone, during my Main Phase I gain 1 additional Normal Summon of a Level 1 LIGHT Tuner."
Yusaku showed the card he'd just searched.

In that same instant, a mage in a gray-white robe stepped onto the field. His long white hair flowed behind him, and the austere seriousness on his face was matched only by the firm wisdom in his eyes.

Blue streams of light rippled outward like waves on water as the white dragon's silhouette soared forth. Its exoskeletal frame was sharp and angular, and its gleaming bone-wings looked like they'd been forged from some alien alloy.

Seeing that familiar dragon silhouette, Divana's taut nerves actually relaxed a little. Folding his arms, he let out a derisive chuckle.

He paused, then named the monster.
"Into [Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon], right? That's the strongest boss in most Blue-Eyes builds. A 4500-ATK monster that can attack up to three times. If you do manage to summon it, I'll admit it can wipe out my board."
"But you can't attack this turn anyway, so…"
Divana's lips curled in a faint smirk.
"Even if you bring that thing out, it won't matter. Aside from breaking my board, it's basically a big vanilla sitting there. Once it passes back to my turn, I'll get rid of it with ease."
"Fusion for [Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon]?"
Yusaku gave him a sidelong glance.
"To deal with you, I don't need that card. As for whether what I summon next can survive your turn… you're about to find out."
"Keep talking tough." Divana sneered. "My monsters have enough protection to shrug off every destruction effect you can throw at them. That outdated [Blue-Eyes] build of yours—"
He didn't finish.
Yusaku had already pointed down at his GY.
"In my GY, [Maiden of White]'s effect. While she's in the GY, once per turn, if I Special Summon 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon', I can Special Summon her from my GY."
"Just now I Special Summoned [Blue-Eyes White Dragon], so I Special Summon [Maiden of White] from the GY!"
Yusaku slid the card into his Duel Disk, and the monster rose into view in shimmering 3D.
A faint fragrance seemed to spread through the air as a girl stepped forward. Her long, snow-white hair was unforgettable at a glance, and her eyes were a clear, deep blue, like starlight reflected in still water.

After equipping the card, Yusaku swept his arm outward.

"Synchro Summon! Level 9—Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon!!!"
The two monsters on the field turned into stars that shot skyward, and a Synchro pillar of light crashed down like a shining waterfall.
Within that luminous torrent, countless particles of light roared and swirled together, forming the body of a dragon woven from pure radiance. Its broad bone-wings shed showers of white-hot sparks with every beat, and its raised head unleashed a roar that shook the heavens.

Yusaku raised his voice.

Spirit Dragon dissolved into a shower of light, and in its place emerged a dragon with wings like a butterfly's. Its radiant, patterned wings scattered prismatic motes as it descended, each step cracking the ground into blossoming crystal buds.

After searching, Yusaku revealed another card in his hand.

The moment those four words left his mouth, Kazetaro and Kouki both shot up from their seats, clenching their fists and shouting, "It's coming! It's finally coming!!"
Cheese Crit blinked blankly and turned her head. "What's coming?"
"White Dad! The White Dad himself is coming!!"
Right as the words left his mouth—
Yusaku shouted:

Two pillars of light erupted from the center of the arena.

The two pillars collided with an earth-shattering boom.
Violet magic and azure dragonfire twisted together in midair, spiraling into a gigantic, dual-colored column of light.
Inside that vortex, bones and magic sigils formed in tandem. The outline of a pale-blue dragon's body appeared first, its scales glittering like frosted crystal.
Then, a dark violet sorcerer's robe rippled into existence around its midsection, its sleeves and hem embroidered with flowing patterns of starlight. The lower half of the garment fused seamlessly into the draconic frame.
As the pillar exploded outward, the colossal figure finally landed with a crash.
The upper body belonged to a spellcaster: a silver-haired mage gripping a star-shaped staff, hair cascading to the waist, an azure dragon-eye gem set in the center of the forehead.
Below the waist was a lithe dragon's body. Four clawed draconic limbs dug into the ground; every step it took left a trail of luminous cracks radiating across the arena floor.

"What!?"
Divana's eyes flew wide as he stared at the monster that had just appeared. He hurriedly focused on its details, almost in a panic.
Ultimate Dragon Magician? What the hell is that supposed to be???
If you fuse Black Luster Soldier and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, shouldn't you be summoning [Dragon Master Knight]!?
Divana prided himself on having played more than his fair share of duels. He'd piloted Blue-Eyes builds no less than thousands of times.
After so many duels, he was intimately familiar with every standard line and combo the deck had to offer.
But his opponent wasn't playing by any of those rules. Every combo Yusaku strung together was something Divana had never seen before—some even looked outright pointless at a glance.
On top of that, he'd thought he knew every card ever printed that was even remotely related to Blue-Eyes.
And yet this [Ultimate Dragon Magician] in front of him… he had literally never heard of it.
It wasn't just him. The crowd in the stands was just as stunned.
At first, watching Yusaku's plays, they'd thought this duel was going to be rough for him.
Now, it looked like Divana was the one in trouble.
That monster's presence alone was crushing. And no one had any idea what kind of effect it might be packing.
With the Dragon Magician fully summoned, Yusaku glanced at Divana.
"You didn't actually think that was the end of it, did you? This is only the beginning."
Divana: "?"
Yusaku revealed another card in his hand.
"Effect of [Sage with Eyes of Blue]. I can discard this card, then target 1 Effect Monster I control. I send that monster to the GY, then Special Summon 1 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Deck."
"I discard Sage with Eyes of Blue, target [Maiden of White] on my field, send her to the GY, and Special Summon a 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Deck."
"And in that same chain, I activate Maiden of White's other effect."
"When this card becomes the target of an attack or an effect, I can activate it: I Special Summon 1 [Blue-Eyes White Dragon] or 1 of my Level 1 LIGHT Tuners from my GY."

Yusaku plucked a card out of his GY.
"By Maiden of White's effect, I Special Summon the [Sage with Eyes of Blue] I just sent to the GY back to the field!"

A steel-clad dragon claw punched up through the ground first, shards of rock scattering everywhere, crackling with residual electricity.
An instant later, the streamlined dragon's body burst free, silver-gray alloy plating gleaming under the arena lights as a jet's engine roar echoed across the field.
