Kiara gave a small laugh.
"I mean, I accept Your Majesty's terms."
This time, it was the Emperor who looked surprised.
"No further negotiation?"
Kiara slowly shook her head.
"A successful negotiation is not one where only one side wins," she said, meeting his eyes directly. "It is one where both parties willingly stand up from the table feeling they have gained something valuable." She placed both hands gently upon the table. "Six months is acceptable."
The Emperor remained silent for a moment before a slow smile appeared on his face.

"Very well. I shall have the Imperial Edict drafted immediately."
Kiara inclined her head politely.
