Salem wakes up, but not in his room. Instead he wakes in what seems to be the same type of place as before, when he first saw Wonder and the giant Blur.
Wonder, it's giant bird figure stands above him, its beak pointed outward above Salem, then begins to point down pointing towards Salem. It's red beady eyes beam down onto him.
Wonder: "Salem. It would seem that times have changed since the first iterations of Myths."
Salem gives the giant bird a weird look, then he tilts his head.
Salem: "What does that mean?"
Wonder looks right now, tilting its burning head as a flaming feather falls off of it.
Wonder: "It would seem that now... It's not only Myths that have emerged through human thoughts."
Salem: "Wonder you are going to have stop giving halfway answers to my questions. What do you mean by Myths aren't the only things that have emerged?"
Wonder: "A different form of creatures through human imagination have formed. Even I'm not fully understood into these parts of those things. But I am aware they follow the same law as the being of Myths."
Salem: "Oh yes. Like how you're a phoenix and your flames for guidance and rebirth. Yes?"
Wonder: "Yes."
Wonder looks to Salem it's face looking indifferent but the voice sounding slightly proud of Salem.
Salem: "So what about the thing that you found in the field, that left even me, with your help stunned and to scared to move from my footing?"
Wonder looks right again, tilting it's head as smoke make a sizzle above him.
Wonder: "Slowly I'm understanding... It's a creature like us but with no law or need to be passed down from human to human."
Salem: "By "like us", do you mean other Myths?"
Wonder: "Yes, and another thing is that these somewhat, same creatures are now in kahoots with some of our worlds own creatures."
Salem tilts his head confused by the way that Wonder states the words.
Salem: "What does that mean? Who's in kahoots with who?"
Wonder flashes many different visions of different things... or creatures.
A humanoid with fangs out of their mouth, their skin so light as if they haven't been in the sun. Until the vision fades and another vision flashes in his mind. One of a gigantic fair-skinned, heavily muscular man, the size of three silverback gorillas, with one red eye in the middle of its head. and again, the vision fades and another replaces it again.
This time it's like Salem doesn't just get a different vision of something, but is in a new environment. He appears in the ocean, light just barely reaching his body as he floats inside, air bubbles appears as he exhales, but when he breathes in it doesn't hurt or feel with water, but still air.
Something slithers high above the seemingly endless water, high above Salem. The thing slithering is huge, insanely huge, it doesn't end it continues, to the point it slithers into the darkness, all the while the point above Salem is blocking light, holding Salem in darkness now.
Salem continues to float moving his hands in front of himself feeling for anything, as his body fills with fear.
Fear of what's in the darkness. Fear of what was slithering above him. Fear of the unknown.
Salem tries to speak but bubbles are the only things that come out.
So instead he tries to covey his thoughts, knowing that Wonder can hear him.
Salem: 'Wonder! What's happening.'
Salem stops for a while darkness fully obscuring his vision from all around him.
He grows panicked.
Salem: 'Wonder? Answer me.'
Salem pauses floating in the endless ocean for a while. His arms still reaching out in front of him, just to honestly feel more comfortable in the darkness.
Salem stays in the darkness for what feels like forever until, the endlessly slithering body becomes no longer endless.
His vision returns, but as it does so does something along with it.
Salems hand nearing so very close to a Huge head. The head of a snake, so very big. Salem feels his air trap in his lungs, not daring to even get any closer to the air way out.
The body that was slithering endlessly was the snakes. It's nostrils are big enough to fit Salem. It's two yellow eyes, bigger than three of Salems houses combined and the mouth so long that it frightens Salem, making him not want to think about what the inside would look like.
* * *: 'Thissssth the human you chosssen?'
It's tongue slithers out as it's thought jump out into mine.
Soon Wonder appears from behind him, break the environment in two. One of water that that Salem is currently swimming away from as the two giant animals converse.
The other is the land of fire that Salem is familiar with, from his experience with Wonder first appearing and Salem first acquiring his power.
Wonder: 'Yes, Jörmungandr. This human is my chosen successor for my power.'
Wonder engages in a conversation before the snake nods it's head and Salem ends up beside Wonder getting out of the watery environment, and not having even a sliver of water on himself.
Salem: "Wha-- What's happening?"
Salem talks as if out of breathe as if he never took one in years.
Jörmungandr: 'You have ssseen my form. And in due time, maybe not now, or maybe not a year from now you will eventually meet my ssssucessssor. Wonder we sssstill have a score to sssettle.'
The giant snake and the environment of water just disappears as if not even existing in the first place.
Salem: "Wonder what was that?"
Salem still feels himself have an incredibly large shiver up his spine of the giant snake's body appear out of the darkness like that.
Wonder: 'Salem this is a warning but when the blurry thing appeared you remembered what it said?'
Salem: "No. That was a while ago and the same day is the day I was put in the predicament of using you powers then flying a nuke away from Guam."
Wonder: 'It will not be the last. Those were the words that The blur told me before it left.'
Salem: "Yes. I remembered now. But the question still stands from before. What about the thing from today? The one that seemed to hypnotize Stone and almost make him off himself."
Wonder looks up as the ground begins to shake once again just like before.
Wonder: 'Salem no need to worry. I have contacted a Myth that will help me figure out in due time.'
Salem looks confused as the place begins to shake even more.
Salem: "Okay..."
He eyes begin to open.
Salem: "What how did you do that?"
Salem wakes up before Wonder is able to answer Salem back and the one to greet him when he wakes is none other than his younger brother a small brown boy that has his curly hair clumped neatly together and his black eyes stare down on Salem as he shakes him awake.
Salem: "Mouse. Stop."
