••{EROS'S POV}••
The dining hall of Bellaflor is every bit as beautiful as the rest of the kingdom.
Candlelight spills from iron chandeliers, casting a golden glow over the long banquet table at the center. Tall windows stand open to the evening breeze, and it carries in the faint scent of flowers from the palace gardens beyond.
But it's the table itself that steals everyone's attention.
It looks less like a dinner and more like a feast.
There are platters upon platters of roasted meats of different kinds, glazed in honey and herbs. Bowls of buttered corn. Loaves of saffron bread still steaming from the ovens. Dishes of herbed rice, roasted potatoes and glazed carrots. Creamy soups in gold-rimmed tureens. Silver trays piled high with ripe peaches, pears, grapes, apples and berries. Small pastries dusted with sugar. Honeyed strawberry tarts. Cream cakes layered with fruit. Pitchers filled with wine and crystal goblets laid out across the table.
And the flowers…
