Chapter 6 - When Destiny Shifted

Morning Scene

Morning had already arrived. Grace finished her prayers and was on her way to the kitchen to check the breakfast preparations when her eyes suddenly went toward the gym room.

Arnav was walking out of it and heading straight toward her.

Grace's face lit up with joy.

"My son, when did you come?" she asked warmly.

Arnav bent down, touched her feet, and replied in a calm voice,

"I came last night, Mom."

"Alright, dear. Go freshen up. I'll get breakfast prepared," Grace said softly.

Arnav nodded once and walked toward his room.

Breakfast Table

By eight in the morning, everyone had come down to the hall. One by one, they took their seats at the dining table.

Then everyone's eyes turned toward Arnav, who was walking toward them wearing a crisp white shirt and dark blue jeans.

His hair was styled perfectly with gel.

The top three buttons of his shirt were open, showing off his broad, chiseled chest.

White shoes—probably worth lakhs—completed his look.

His aura… his walk… his authority…

It pulled every gaze toward him.

Soni looked at him and froze.

Her breath hitched.

God, how handsome he looks… I just want to hug him tight. And one day, I will make him mine… no matter what, she thought with burning desire.

Arnav quietly walked to his seat and sat.

Ryan looked at him and said,

"You were supposed to come in the morning."

Arnav replied coldly,

"Why? Does coming early cause you any problem?"

Ryan raised an eyebrow at the tone. 🤨

Just then, Victor's voice came from behind, speaking to the maid:

"Go call Soumya, child. Tell her breakfast is ready."

The maid nodded and left.

Soumya's Room

She knocked twice but Soumya didn't open.

After knocking the third time, Soumya finally opened the door—still in her night suit, hair messy, half sleepy.

Soumya frowned,

"Why are you bothering me so early?"

The maid bowed slightly,

"Madam, Grandpa has called you.

Breakfast is ready."

The moment Soumya heard the word breakfast, she rushed forward.

"What are you standing for? Move! Fast!"

The maid stood there shocked, her mouth hanging open. 😮

Breakfast Table (Again)

Soumya reached the table and immediately hugged Victor from behind

.

"Good morning, Grandpa!"

"Good morning, child," Victor smiled.

Then he looked at her outfit and frowned.

"Why haven't you freshened up yet?"

Soumya pouted dramatically,

"Oh, Grandpa! I'm starving. And you know I cannot tolerate hunger.

First food… then everything else!"

She gave him a cute smile and sat next to him, piling food onto her plate as if everyone else would eat it before her.

During this time, Soumya ignored everyone at the table completely.

Soni smirked and said loudly,

"Soumya, look… Arnav is here."

Soumya lifted one eyebrow and replied,

"So?"

Her response shocked everyone.

But strangely… Arnav didn't like being ignored.

Not at all.

Trying to fix the situation, Soni continued,

"You were always the most excited one about Arnav's arrival. That's why I said it."

Soumya calmly replied,

"I only wanted love from my brothers… and the feeling of having a sister."

She paused, looked at everyone once, and added,

"But now I don't care.

Not about you…

Not your brothers…

Not your mother…

Not your father…

And definitely not anyone else.

I hope that's clear."

After saying this, she grabbed her plate and walked to her room.

Everyone stared at her in disbelief.

Arnav stood up as well and left the house without saying a word.

A.R. CORPORATION

The building had 30 floors.

At the very top was Arnav's private cabin—allowed only for him and his assistant. No one else could enter unless he permitted it.

Right now, the glass-walled cabin was a mess.

Arnav was trying to control his rising anger.

Soumya's cold behavior kept flashing in his mind again and again.

He walked to the glass wall, overlooking the entire city.

The sun outside was slowly darkening under heavy clouds.

Under his breath, he muttered,

"Pray you never enter this barren heart…

because you won't be able to bear my obsession,

my madness,

or the darkness inside me…"

His expression had turned dangerous—insane enough to scare anyone who saw him.

Just then, someone knocked.

Arnav took a long drag of his cigarette and said coldly,

"Come in."

His assistant entered.

He looked around at the scattered items and thought,

Who is the devil angry at today?

Arnav snapped,

"If you're done thinking, speak.

Otherwise submit your resignation."

The assistant gulped.

"S-Sir… as you ordered, you've been granted the Professor post.

And you have a meeting in ten minutes."

Arnav flicked his finger—gesturing him to leave.

Meeting Room

The atmosphere was extremely tense.

Arnav's assistant kept wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Mr. Khanna said,

"So Mr. Raizada, what do you think about my offer?

My daughter is very beautiful… you can see for yourself."

Beside him sat a girl who had more cloth missing than present.

Her chest was almost visible, and she walked seductively toward Arnav.

She leaned close and whispered,

"Just give me one night…

I promise I'll please you."

Arnav, who was already suppressing intense anger, suddenly shoved her hard.

She fell to the floor with a scream, getting bruised on her hands and knees.

Mr. Khanna stood up furiously,

"What nonsense is this?!"

Arnav's eyes turned predatory as he pressed a button on the table.

Within minutes, guards entered.

Arnav pointed at the man and his daughter:

"Take them to the Dark Villa.

And her—

she loves spending nights with men, right?

Fulfill her wish."

Both father and daughter began pleading for forgiveness,

but the guards dragged them away.

Arnav washed his hands with the water on the table,

as if he had touched something filthy.

After this, he left the office immediately and headed home.

His assistant sighed in relief.

"God… Sahil, you survived today. Another minute and he would've killed you."
