Lying slumped on the cold snow, feeling his life slowly slipping away as his mana core shattered, the God of Fantasy gazed up at the gray northern sky. In the darkness of impending death, his mind suddenly traversed tens of thousands of years of history, recalling a figure long forgotten by the God Realm and the flow of time.
He remembered his only remaining relative, the one who had bestowed upon him the fragment of time power he had just used to confront the God of Fighters.
"He... was once a unique genius," the God of Fantasy whispered in his mind, a divine tear rolling down his tattered cheek.
That being was the God of Time. In those days, that young god possessed a natural talent for seeing the past, manipulating the present, and shaping the future of the entire universe. He was gentle, pure, and always wanted to use time to heal the wounds of all things. But this world was too cruel. The rise of a god controlling time struck fear into the hearts of the five supreme gods at the central temple. They could not tolerate anyone who could reverse their decrees of annihilation.
They conspired, using the most deceitful laws to seal, hunt down, and erase the existence of the God of Time from all records, turning him into a god forever forgotten in the void. Before disappearing, the poor god used his last remaining strength to imbue the time-manipulating technique into the soul of the God of Fantasy, hoping his close friend could survive.
"This rotten world... has stolen everything good," the God of Fantasy gritted his teeth, his hatred surging with a final surge of Darkness Mana from deep within his subconscious. He could not die here. He had to live, to overthrow this Divine Realm and reclaim justice for his forgotten friend.
