Although initially uneasy watching the couple become intimate again, Carabella remained smiling as she ate lunch with her fiancé and two friends. She didn't want Jefferson to scold her for not smiling anymore. Besides, she had no right to be sad because Jefferson was meant to be with Larissa, not her. Therefore, she tried not to get carried away with every special treatment Jefferson gave her before she was truly hurt.
Jefferson realized that his beloved woman was now wearing a fake smile. Ever since Larissa had approached him and kissed him on the cheek, he had been worried that Carabella would be angry and disappointed in him. So, he pretended to go get a spoon for him, even though his real intention was to call a waiter.
Several minutes passed, and Carabella finally managed to finish her meal, having been starving for so long. However, she felt like something was still missing. Even though she had eaten a substantial portion, her stomach still growled.
