I watched as Aileen's triumphant grin turned to stone, as if invisible fingers had closed around her windpipe. "You're styling her?" she choked out.
The Head Stylist maintained her professional smile. "Absolutely, Miss."
She didn't even recognize her?
How was that possible?
Could Ana Watson actually afford this place?
Aileen's voice cracked. Her finger shook as she pointed at me. "Are you certain you haven't confused us? We're both Watson—maybe I'm the Ms. Watson you're looking for?"
The Head Stylist's smile never wavered. "No confusion whatsoever. Ms. Watson holds our platinum membership."
I could see Aileen's eyes bulge at the mention of platinum membership.
That tier required millions in spending just to qualify.
I blinked in shock. I glanced up at the Head Stylist, who gave me a subtle wink.
