Ridley's fingers locked around my wrist. "Ana," his tone dropped dangerously low. "When does this stop?"
He must have figured I'd pulled strings to be here.
Anyone could have told him I'd show up once they knew he was coming.
Wasn't this just another pathetic attempt at reconciliation?
The way Ridley's gaze swept over my dress made his jaw clench, darkness creeping across his features.
He wouldn't admit it, but tonight—I looked incredible.
So incredible he'd spotted me the instant I'd walked through those doors.
Dressing like this—who else could it be for but him?
I jerked my hand back in one sharp motion.
Icy irritation flashed in my eyes. "I—"
Before I could get the words out, Aileen drifted over like some delicate flower.
She wound her arm through Ridley's with that practiced giggle. "Ridley! My fans wouldn't stop asking for pictures. If photographers see us together, they'll assume we're an item. My obsessed followers will tear you apart."
