Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

The Genesis of the Yuan Realm

In the "Void", there was no sound, no light, no time, no space—only absolute "nothingness". Yet, in this realm where even concepts were on the verge of annihilation, a spark of "existence" forcefully came into being.

It was not an explosion, but rather... the creation of a world.

Lin Mo took his own "exceptional" state as the catalyst, the "Pure Land" domain that had been "excised" as the foundation, the chaotic origin stolen by the "Order" threads as the material, and his cognition and will that transcended this realm as the blueprint, embarking on a gamble of extreme madness.

The chaotic energy was no longer an object to be purified; instead, under the guidance of "Order", it forcefully defined the fundamental point of "existence" in the absolute "nothingness". Earth, water, fire, and wind were no longer inherent elements, but rather manifestations of rules that were forcefully separated from chaos and given form.

There was no earth-shattering roar, for there was no sound in the "Void" to begin with.

There was no world-creating radiance, for there was no light in the "Void" to begin with.

All that existed was the forceful "establishment" of rules and the forceful "anchoring" of existence.

Gelake, Moshi, and all members of the community lost all their senses at that moment, as if they themselves had merged into a part of chaos. Then, in the next instant, they were re-"weaved" by a new, unfamiliar set of rules that bore Lin Mo's distinct mark.

When their "consciousness" returned and their senses were restored, they found themselves still standing in the Administrative Center, at their respective work posts, in the fields or workshops. The surrounding environment seemed largely unchanged: the energy towers remained, the magic network remained, and the newly grown plants remained.

Yet, everything was different.

The sky was no longer the eternal dim yellow of the Demon Realm, nor the dead gray after excision. Instead, it took on a clear "color of emptiness" with a faint glow. There were no sun, moon, or stars, yet a soft light source pervaded every inch of space.

The earth was still black, but not the decaying black of the Demon Realm—it was a deep, solid black that nurtured vitality. The ground beneath their feet conveyed a firm yet warm touch.

The air was fresh, and the energy flowing within it was neither the violent demonic energy nor the pure star power. Instead, it was a more neutral, more fundamental "primordial energy" that was easy to absorb and transform.

All their connections to the original Demon Realm were completely severed. But they did not perish; instead, they existed in a brand-new, independent...

"Miniature Universe"—one that had been opened up from chaos and nothingness, with Lin Mo's will and the "Order" threads at its core.

Gelake trembled as he stretched out his hand, feeling the unfamiliar energy in the air. His soul fire was filled with confusion and shock. "Are we... still alive? Where... is this place?"

Moshi stroked the obsidian steel walls of the Administrative Center. Some of the runes originally carved on them to adapt to the Demon Realm's rules were now slowly changing their structure, automatically adapting to the underlying rules of this new world. "The rules... have been rewritten. Not covered up, but... recast."

All the demons could feel it. The most basic physical constants, energy laws, and even the flow of time of the world they depended on for survival were completely different from those of the Demon Realm! This was a brand-new world, one created single-handedly by Lin Mo.

And Lin Mo...

They looked up, gazing at the top of the Administrative Center.

That figure in the cyan robe was still floating there, but his state was extremely strange. His body had a translucent quality, as if composed of pure energy and rules. Countless basic runes appeared and disappeared, flowing within him. He had his eyes closed and his brows slightly furrowed, as if enduring an enormous burden, yet also as if he was doing his utmost to perceive and regulate every tiny detail of this newly born world.

The pedestal he had held in his hand was gone, and the "Order" threads seemed to have merged into his body—or rather, into the core of this new world.

He was the "Heavenly Dao" of this miniature universe.

Slowly, he opened his eyes. What was reflected in them was no longer specific scenes, but the flow and evolution of the underlying rules of this world.

"This realm shall be named 'Yuan'."

His voice echoed directly in the depths of every living being's consciousness—calm, yet carrying an unshakable authority.

"The old rules are gone; a new era truly begins here."

His gaze swept over his subjects below, who were still in a state of great shock.

"Our living space is now secured. However, the 'Yuan' Realm has just opened—its rules are not yet solid, resources are limited, and the road ahead will be arduous."

"The development of technology and the evolution of civilization still require all of you to forge ahead with determination."

There was no celebration, no cheering. Every demon—from the top-tier administrative talents to the lowest-level laborers—felt a heavy sense of responsibility. They were no longer pawns struggling to survive in the chaos of the Demon Realm, but the first pioneers of this newly born universe, the bearers of the spark of civilization.

They had lost their homeland (though that homeland was far from pleasant), yet they had gained a world that truly belonged to them—a world filled with infinite possibilities.

Lin Mo's figure slowly descended, landing on the platform at the top of the Administrative Center. He looked somewhat exhausted. His state, which hovered between "existence" and "exception", seemed to have become more stable after the forceful creation of the world, yet it was also more deeply bound to this "Yuan" Realm.

He looked out at this newly created, still immature world he had forged with his own hands. His gaze penetrated the newly formed mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, as if catching a glimpse of a distant future.

The "excision" by the Observer had, instead, given him a chance to break free from his shackles and start anew.

But whether this "Yuan" Realm could truly gain a foothold and grow in the absolute void, whether it could withstand the more unknown prying and interference that might come from "higher places" in the future...

The road ahead was still long.

He sat cross-legged, merging his divine consciousness with the entire "Yuan" Realm. He began to carefully adjust the rules of this newly born universe and guide the circulation of energy—like a patient gardener, tending to the seedlings that had just broken through the soil.

At this moment, the chronicle of the "Yuan" Realm turned to its first page.
