"Uhhh... my head. How long was I...?"
The system responded immediately.
『Ten hours』
"What?"
『You have been fucking Medusa's cheeks for ten full hours, User.』
I jolted upright and looked at the bed. Medusa lay there asleep, her naked body covered in the aftermath of our sex.
Sweat clung to her glowing skin, a few faint marks lingering from where I held her too tightly.
"Guess I was too rough on her. But damn... she really rocked my world."
I snapped my fingers. A soft golden light swept over her. The bruises vanished, the aches disappeared, and her body returned to its natural radiance.
I stood up, slipped back into my robes, and placed a small letter on the table beside her.
"Thanks for a great time. I am eternally grateful, Medusa. I hope our paths cross again, if fate allows it."
I leaned down and kissed her forehead gently before leaving the rented house in Athens. In the next second, darkness wrapped around me as I returned to my Underworld domain.
One of the skeletal guards straightened in fear.
"Ah! My lord. You have returned."
I gave him a brief nod and walked past without slowing down. I bathed, ate lightly, and then sat on my throne. Souls drifted in like an endless river.
I raised my hand and judged them one by one, sending each to their rightful place. It felt like being a lawyer trapped in a loop of eternal court sessions.
Hours passed. Minutes blurred.
"Time is up. Come back tomorrow."
The familiar voice floated in. Nyx, the Mother of Night, walked in with her quiet presence that chilled and comforted at the same time. She gathered the remaining souls with a soft sweep of her power.
As she worked, my eyes drifted to a recent soul. A young man. Suicide. Heartbreak. Another one by the river. Another who gave up too easily.
Cowards.
Nyx glanced at me.
"Hades?"
"Ah. Sorry, Nyx. I was lost in thought."
"Calm yourself. I am surprised by the sudden change in you this past month."
"How so?"
She didn't answer immediately, but her knowing eyes said everything. She felt the difference in me. Deva, reincarnated as Hades, adjusting to this new divine skin.
Well, she doesn't know it. So I'll keep it aside and play it safe.
She opened her mouth to continue, but she froze when a thunderous voice exploded behind us.
"HADES!"
The massive doors slammed open with such force they cracked the stone walls. Nyx and I turned. There she was. Hera. Queen of Olympus. Wife of Zeus. A storm wrapped in a woman's form.
I needed to install heavier doors.
Hera marched forward carrying five ghostly souls that hovered behind her like trembling sheep. Her expression was sharp enough to cut steel.
"The usual, Hades," she said, tossing her hair like some celestial diva.
"Forgive me, Hera."
Nyx stepped forward, her presence instantly shifting the atmosphere. She always arrived precisely when she needed to.
She examined the souls, and I saw her expression tighten. We both knew what Hera did. What she always did.
"Hera, the court is closed today," Nyx said firmly.
"Then make an exception for me," Hera snapped.
"No."
My patience snapped. I stood from my throne, already tired of her theatrics. One month living as Hades and I finally understood why Zeus called Hera a wildcat.
I descended the steps until I stood face-to-face with her.
"I have had enough of your tantrums, Hera. This is between you and your husband. Why keep killing innocent girls who were falsely accused of being raped?"
"You do not know anything about my life, Hades. All you do is sit on that chair and judge souls."
"At least I judge them fairly. Unlike you, who kills the unjust."
Her eyes flared.
"You..."
"Enough!"
My roar shook the entire main hall. The walls trembled. The souls fled in terror. Even the skeleton guards rattled uncontrollably. Power surged through me and my eyes glowed a burning gold.
Hera's eyes glowed hot pink in rage. We stood inches apart, divine pressure colliding. The ground cracked beneath us. Rubble floated into the air.
Darkness and starlight swirled around my feet while pink energy spiraled beneath hers.
Nyx stepped back. She knew this was divine combat about to erupt.
I tightened my grip as my weapon slowly materialized in my hand, shadows curling around it.
"Do not do this, Hera," I warned quietly.
Her voice dropped into a dangerous whisper.
"Is that a threat, younger brother?"
"I can say it is a threat, and a very real warning, Hera."
Our powers pulsed.
One more breath and the Underworld would explode.
"Mark my words, Hades. You will regret pissing me off."
"Try me, fucker."
Yup. I really just called Hera, Queen of Olympus, a fucker. If Zeus didn't kill me, she probably would.
Her eyes widened with divine rage. In a flash of pink energy, she summoned a gleaming spear and thrust it toward my throat with terrifying precision.
CLING!
Sparks exploded as I blocked the strike. Hera froze, stunned, her gaze dropping to the weapons crossed against hers.
"The gods…?!"
Her voice trembled.
"How do you have the Blades of Chaos?!"
I twisted my wrists, locking her spear between the curved fiery edges of the Blades.
"Blades of Chaos? No," I said casually. "These were forged by me personally. Took a week."
Lie.
The system had handed me those badass blades from the Cursed Box as a reward for the hidden Hestia quest.
Bless Box gives what I want.
Cursed Box gives what I need.
These?
Oh, I definitely needed these.
I flicked my wrists sharply. The Blades twisted, disarming Hera with a burst of divine sparks. Her spear flew across the hall and skidded into a pillar.
Before she recovered, I slammed one blade to the floor.
SHHKKK!
The ground cracked violently, forming a jagged half-circle fissure behind her. Dust floated up around us. A warning sign carved by sheer force.
The Blades retracted back to my hands in a smooth motion as I stepped closer. I pointed one burning edge right at Hera's forehead, stopping mere inches from her skin.
My voice dropped, low and cold.
"This is a warning, Hera. Fix your husband's filth. Fix your own stupidity. And never— and I mean never— kill an innocent again. Because if you do…"
I leaned in slowly, letting her feel the heat of the blade.
"It won't be just souls I judge."
A violent shiver ran down her spine. Her divine aura flickered— for the first time, Hera actually feared someone not named Zeus.
She vanished in a burst of pink light, practically escaping the Underworld throne room.
Nyx, who had watched the entire thing, stared at me with a mix of awe, shock, and a tiny bit of fear.
"Calm yourself, Nyx. Are you alright?"
I asked while retracting my Chain Blade and stepping toward her, checking on her well-being.
She blinked, surprised. "I'm okay, Hades. Though… it's rare to see you check on my well-being."
"You worked hard today. Get some rest, Nyx."
"I will, Lord Hades. But… what should we do with these five?"
She motioned toward the five young maidens—souls Hera had murdered in jealous rage over Zeus's endless affairs.
I crossed my arms. My expression hardened.
"State their names, ages, and cause, Nyx."
She began reading through the ethereal scrolls that formed before her. As expected, each death was caused by Hera's wrath.
Until—
"Umm… Hades. The fifth one. You should… see this."
"Hmm? What about the fifth one?"
She turned the scroll toward me.
Age: 9.
My veins burned beneath my skin. A sharp metallic taste rose in my mouth.
Wrath—pure, violent, god-slaying wrath—erupted through me like a volcano cracking the Underworld itself.
My fury reached a point even I had never felt before.
『System Notification』
[Hidden Quest Found: End Zeus Carnal]
[Reward: SSS-grade dagger + Cursed Box + Stats Boost X3]
Good.
Good.
Finally.
I'm ready to show Olympus exactly how terrifying Hades can be.
"NYX!"
My voice thundered through the Underworld, shaking hooks, pillars, stones, the entire throne hall quivered under my command.
Nyx straightened instantly, wings folding behind her. "Yes, Hades!"
"Send a message to all Olympian gods. An immediate meeting. No delays."
"It shall be done, Hades. Anything else?"
A grin spread across my face—dark, sharp, hungry for divine punishment.
My golden eyes flared with a glow so intense it looked like energy flowing through them, just like those cultivation manhua I used to read in my past life.
"Yes. Contact Hestia."
Nyx's pupils trembled.
I tilted my head, smiling with a god's promise of slaughter.
"Zeus…, you just messed up big fucking time, youngest."
