I choose to return to being Haruo while we look out at the ocean. The top of the hill with our house is the best place to survey the area. I'm just taking the time to save my stamina. I kind of forgot to come up with a
way to find the submarine and now I have to find a way to tell that to Misty without her getting mad. We had to move in the air really quick because the 3rd highest ranked Kaiju child entering zone W might raise a few alarms. It feels weird to think that Lilith might be out there.
"I've got a plan." Thank goodness I was not prepared for that conversation. "We're going to use sonar to find it then freeze the ocean!"
She punches her palm with her fist.
"Huh?" I ask in a confused manner. That sounds at least a little crazy.
"Well send sonic waves into the ocean to map out the area and find it." She explains in an almost annoyed tone.
"You say that like it's an easy thing to do." I argue because is that something either of us could even do? Is that a power she has? Map making?
"Is it not?" She looks mildly confused.
"Is it?" We both tilt our heads to the side in confusion. Has her standards of normality become super screwed up or has mine?
"Well, if you don't have a better idea then we'll do this 1 anyway." I guess which of us is the strange 1 is a little irrelevant. It was probably me anyways. I bet everyone can do sonar and freeze the ocean. "I have a shout ability as part of my 9 tails. I tend not to use it that often
because my others are more practical. But in this case I think I can get some use from it." That's amazing, sonic abilities are super rare and yet she has 1? Along with 8 other abilities. And there's 2 people above her? I really wasn't wrong to feel inadequate back then. Heck, I have the wand and I'm still feeling inferior. But I shouldn't focus on that now. We have bigger things to worry about.
"So your going to shout at the water to find the submarine?" I think I get the gist of it. Definitely feels like something that'd be done in a spy film. Are we still in that genre? Cool.
"You didn't have to make it sound so unrefined but basically yeah. Of course I'll need to adjust the frequency but that shouldn't be too hard. Given your reaction I'm guessing you haven't tried this ability yet?" How many people get to say that they can try different abilities? I'm really lucky.
"No. For most of my life I've only had a single ability and it's not exactly 1 that encourages exploration. I've made a lot of Kaiju that can do all sorts of things but sonic abilities aren't 1 of them." It's a little embarrassing to talk so openly about this.
"Then I'm the best teacher for this sort of thing. I know more than anyone else what it's like to use wildly different abilities. Even
Lilith gets her different moves from the same source." Oh wow. I've got a pretty reliable teacher with me. What are the odds? I hadn't considered that we are similar in that way. This could be a great opportunity.
"Ok then. I should probably mention that I haven't frozen anything before." I look away because it's a little awkward to say that twice.
All I get is a blank look in response before she just stares at me. It's the kind of stare where you wait for someone to finish speaking, but I have nothing else to say. "Sorry. Are you mad?" Her expression softens slightly with a look of realisation.
"Oh I thought you were making fun of me." Huh?
"I wouldn't do that." I try and defend myself even though I'm barley following the conversation at this point.
"Haruo." She places a hand on my shoulder. "You literally made a block of ice when we fought." Oh.
"I did?" I feel like I would remember that.
"Yeah you did. I'm not entirely sure how you could forget something like that." Well this is embarrassing.
"In my defence, there was a lot going on at that point. My heart stopped for a second." Misty takes her hand of my and looks almost
scared. Did I say something bad?
"I'm really sorry." She looks at the ground and for a brief moment I see myself. I do that all the time. Wait no. Darn it Haruo look what
you've done.
"It's really no problem! It's not like I died or anything!" I frantically try and cheer her up but it doesn't seem to do much. "I mean it! Please don't feel bad about how you almost killed me." It's not working! "In fact it was really quite thrilling! A real heart stopper!".
"I'm sorry ok?!" She yells out as she huddles on the floor, her tails curling around her body.
"That's not what I meant!" All this over some ice?! In a panic I place my hands over her and activate heal. It's not exactly got a psychological effect like Liliths powers have but as I've been told many times, it feels rather good. Misty almost immediately gets back up so I suppose she didn't need much. "Better?" Who would have guessed that I would see the 3rd rank in such a state?
"Yeah." If you looked at Misty now you wouldn't guess that she was anything but a serious warrior. It's a little scary how quickly she can flip between moods. "It's time to begin. I'll be doing a majority of the sonar
since your inexperienced but I'm expecting you to pull your weight with the ice." Oh yeah. I apparently can do that. I feel my wand shake and realise that oh my gosh I did! Oh no I'm so sorry I didn't mean to forget about you! I'm the worst! "We can't waste any more time. Lilith needs us and we won't let her down." She's right. I need to focus on the mission. Nothing else matters right now.
"Ok. Let's do this." I transform with a twirl and a series of pink sparkles. "In the name of the sky people, I am Kaiju boy!" I finish with a peace sign and a wink.
"That's definitely different from last time." Misty says plainly.
"Is it?" I hadn't noticed. "Anyways, give me a moment please. I'm going to make a new 1." This is always a little exciting.
"Ok now think really hard about all the noise around you. That's a weapon. A bunch of waves that want nothing more than to break every bone in your body." Well that's brutal. But if it helps then who am I to complain? And it is helping. I think of an old rock band cover I once saw. Their mascot was a huge screaming bat.i use that as inspiration. In order to not get sued though I change it from grey to dark blue. Along with that I add wave
marks on the wings to look like sound waves. Finally I grant it horns that look like tuning forks. A dozen of the bats all fly out of the wand, all 3 feet in height if I had to give a rough estimate. They are probably all E class but if they work together I'm sure they'll pack a punch. While I'm at it I also make a flock of birds. They are like raven in that they are covered in thick armour. The main difference is that they aren't humanoid like Raven is. These guys will hopefully keep an eye in the sky. "That is really strange to see up close.".
"I'm hoping my bats out of heck will be able to follow your frequency and help with the search." And I guess I'll name the birds something like mini ravens.
"Bats out of heck?" She shakes her head. "Whatever. Just don't screw this up." Oh she has no idea who she's talking to. As she jumps at least 30 feet into the air her mouth suddenly widens to a degree that it definitely couldn't before. She releases a scream of incredible volume into the ocean below. As it almost digs a hole into the huge body of water I have to cover my ears. After a few seconds though the effects start to lessen, the water became much less intense as it soon settled on a large ripple. It's amazing to think that she has such fantastic control of her abilities.
"Go help her please." I politely ask my bats out of heck. They all immediately fly around her at speeds that would be impossible for regular bats. They all copy Misty's move and send sonic waves into the water. It's surprising to see how quickly they picked that up. Though having Misty as a template right next to them probably helps. Misty continually uses her double jump to stay in the air as she moves the shout across the surface of the water. I really hope the submarine hasn't made it to the purple water yet, things could get really difficult if we have to go there. "Please. Please work." I plead to whatever will listen that we find it. My flock of mini ravens form a second ring around Misty as they fly around, but they almost disperse when the screaming stops. Somehow I know where it is. Is this the connection I have with
my kaiju?
"Half a mile north east!" She tells but I'm already flying that way. My flock of Kaiju all follow close behind and soon Misty also catches up. It's finally happening, we're finally going to save Lilith. "Once we made it there we're going to send a blast of cold right down! It'll freeze all the water around the submarine and keep it in place! Before they can get out we'll go down and finish this!" Sounds simple enough. I give her a nod before it occurs to me the we will be doing this near my house. I hope this doesn't bother everyone back home.
"Here we go! Super tag team freeze!" I do a spin and hold my wand to the sky. I swear for a second I see Misty roll her eyes before she
raises her hand to be next to my wand. Her arm is suddenly covered in ice before we both dive straight down. I open my wings again and let the wind resistance slow me down as Misty continues in her dive. "Sorry I forgot about you but please help!" I summon the polar bear Kaiju. At its true size its 140 feet tall and covered in blue armour that looks medieval. It's followed by a pack of 100 foot tall copies with less ornate armour. I'll name the leader Norbert. That sounds like a good polar bear name. As soon as the bears, Norbert and Misty all hit the surface at the same time they release the cold. A huge
amount of fog bursts out up while a pillar of ice spreads out in the ocean below. It occurs to me now that this is probably pretty bad for any nearby fish given how much the ice is spreading so I'll make sure to collect them for zone W. No need to put it to waste. The ice stops before it can reach the beach so that's good I guess. When the fog clears all of the are now standing on a shiny bumpy land. Wow, we really did all this. And if the sub is still where we knew it was, it will be completely trapped in place.
"Let's get this done quick before anything happens to the people in the submarine!" She is really on point today. Misty then proceeds to punch the ice. A lot. It's a little crude but honestly it's not like I would have done any better.
"Off we go then." I say to myself. I descend into the makeshift ice tunnel while leaving my flock outside.the constant echoes of punches from below is honestly great for the mood. There's barley any light down here, but just enough to see the frozen ocean through the cracked walls. Fish stuck in place, pockets of air and even a shark. How many people get to see sharks up close?! Then again maybe I've just been spoiled by seeing so many Kaiju up close. A shark is still cool though. I speed up a bit and soon catch up with Misty right as she reaches the metal shell of the submarine, signified by a loud CLANG that echoes through the tunnel, small bits of the wall breaking off and falling deeper. "How will we get in?" I ask as I land on the submarine
next to her. Misty doesn't answer though, instead she simply bends down and grips the black metal. Her fingers push into it and the metal bends and moves like it was paper. She then pulls up and the metal tears, releasing a massive ear piercing sound that makes me cover my ears. As the ringing in my ears continues I just stare at Misty.
"What?" She asks innocently. She's scary. Don't say that out loud, it's hardly the scariest thing you've seen. Definitely the most painful
to my ears though. "Oh, sorry." She says in an embarrassed tone before hopping into the hole. I follow close behind and I'm quite excited to be honest. I've never been inside of a submarine before, this must be my spy films awesome climax! When we enter I notice that the narrow hall is bathed in red light. It goes off and on constantly. It's complimented by the buzzing noise coming from the tiny speakers on the wall. I can't believe that those used to be louder. People
in the past were weird. We walk over to the first door in our way, it looks like it belongs in a bank rather than a submarine.
"So where do you think Lilith is?" I try and make relevant conversation while Misty covers her arms in that black armour from earlier. She then just pulls the door off and puts it to the side like 1 would for a chair
that's in the way. Very loud but also so polite. She answers but I can't hear her because of all the noise. That's annoying. We both start to jog down the next room because we've already wasted too much time, we need to save Lilith before the ranger force can respond. We pass by a room filled with torpedoes and 1 of the workers spots us. I quickly launch an 8 feet tall gummy bear to
restrain him. It's a good thing the torpedoes didn't get dislodged when we froze everything, at least these guys follow proper safety guidelines. When we turn a corner I immediately see 5 soldiers with guns pointed at us. I can't notice anything else about them before the 1 kneeling on the ground yelled for
them to fire. A lot of loud noises followed by Raven blocking all the bullets. They ricochet on the walls before stopping. 1 of the soldiers gets hit in the stomach and screams in pain as blood pools out from the wound. They all stop for a moment in the commotion and in that split second Raven and Misty knock
all 6 of them out with a hit each. I run over and use heal on the soldiers stomach. The flesh quickly pulls itself back together thanks to the pink aura. After only a few seconds the only evidence that there was a wound is the bullet
hole in the suit and the blood stains.
"No time to waste, come on." She urges and pulls open the next door. I'm about to say something but decide to leave it for now. I give
Raven a pat on the head that he seems to appreciate before returning him to the
wand. The next room we pass through is a massive room full of cages. All of them seem to be empty so it's just rows upon rows and stacks upon stacks of empty cages. What could you possibly need all this for? Misty seems to come to the same conclusion as me because she didn't stop and rushed through this room. I leave Naga here just to have a look around. This next door looks even more high tech compar-.
"Open up!" And she's already torn that 1 down as well. I wonder how much all this cost? We walk through the wrecked doorway and honestly this is feeling pretty awesome. It seems we've finally made it to the control
deck, if the large table with a green screen over it is anything to go by. The crew all just stare at us in shock and now I'm feeling a little awkward. Can't let them know that though.
"Good evening everyone!" I say with a smile and big wave. "We are looking for Li- I mean insect queen. As long as we get her then everything will be fine." I spot a black box on top of the green table. As I walk over to
it a man I assume is the captain moves towards me for a second. Before he can
do anything though I send out some threads that wrap around his neck. That certainly gets him to reconsider. It's only now that I realise how angry I really am. I'm genuinely tempted to hurt these people. Not like they wouldn't
deserve it. Just a slight squeeze is all it would take.
"Please…" the captain pleads as I stare into his eyes. I release the threads and he coughs furiously. What the heck was I thinking. These are actual human beings, I can't kill them. I actually feel a little sick thinking about it. That's not the kind of hero I want to be. As I regain my composure I notice something. A red button on the captains chair.
"What's that button?" I ask but get no answer.
"You'd better tell us." Misty advises with a hand on the captains shoulder.
"It's… a distress signal. It calls a gold ranger to come to our aid. They'll be here soon." The captain informs us while clearly being terrified. And so am I.
"Find Lilith!" I yell at Misty as I run out the room.
"Wait a se- good grief.". Damn it! Not now! I run as fast as I can while recalling the kaiju I've got around the sub. In what feels like
less then a minute I'm back at our self made entry and fly up. The night sky is fully out now with a ton of stars. But 1 of those stars gets brighter and when it glows a familiar blue, I send my mini ravens towards it. The light starts darting around, avoiding the birds while launching its own rays of light to pierce them. I create my finisher sword and swing it as soon as we are in range of each other. Instructor Audrey and I clash with our sword and trident respectively and lock eyes. We're both launched to 1 side of the ice hole so I
make a huge gecko like Kaiju to grip onto the wall and catch me. I grip 1 of its back spikes and look across at the instructor, who's used a similar strategy with her trident. Maybe that wasn't the most tactical move but I thought facing her head on might deal with some of the fear I'm feeling. The fact that I'm shaking from head to toe is probably because of the cold more then anything else. But I'm fine, this won't be like last time, I can beat her.
I launch a sonic attack from above with my remaining bats out of heck. She leaps off the edge to dodge it, pulling her trident out as she does so. With this I begin my plan, sending a few lights into the sky. I have my gecko climb
along the curved and cracked wall to get out of her way before she crashes into where we used to be. She doesn't pause however, instead she drags the trident across the frozen ocean wall. The ice breaks and several chunks of it get launched at us at high speeds. They imbedded themselves into the gecko and caused blood to fly out.
"Damn!" I yell in frustration while the gecko returns to the wand and I begin to fall. Instructor Audrey is already diving after me, her drones locking on to me before firing their lasers. Raven blocks them with his wings before grabbing my right arm and tossing me up towards the blue gold ranger. I zoom right past her, narrowly grazing her left arm. I unfurl my wings and fly higher and send some more lights into the sky. This can work, I know it. The gold ranger uses 1 of her floating drones as a platform and leaps after me.
"Your not getting away!" She exclaims when she grabs my ankle. She squeezes it and with her suits enhanced strength I can feel something's about to break. I launch a bunch of yellow flowers right in her face, the explosion of pollen causing her to let go before she crushes my ankle. I escape the hole and make it to open air. I look down and see the instructor sliding across the side before the ice cracks beneath her feet,
stopping her in place for just a second before she leaps out of the hole. At this point the rangers are less people and more people shaped bullets. I land on the relatively stable ground of the frozen ocean and look back to see where the instructor has landed. She's about 20 feet away from me. We just stand and stare at each other. I take a deep breath before speaking.
"why won't you let me help Lilith?!" It's an obvious question I feel. I can't see her actual face but I feel like she wasn't expecting it.
"That's a pointless question with an obvious answer. Insect queen poses a threat to the ranger force and the city at large. To be detained and removed is the most logical outcome." She explains while walking closer.
"But you're her instructor aren't you? Doesn't that make you realise how wrong this is?!" Lilith said they got along, and even without that, how could you let this happen to someone you spend so much time with?
"Like I said before, this is pointless. I have no reason to explain myself to someone like you. Your alone, it's time to give up." Wait a
second. Does she really believe that? I give a genuine smile as I gain a hint of confidence.
"Oh believe me…" my body is suddenly enveloped by pink energy while dozens of A and B class Kaiju appear behind me. 5 thundercats roar as lightning crackles along their bodies. Raven, naga, pup and Norbert all stand at either side of me. "I'm not the 1 who's alone here." I point the wand right at her as everyone else growls in anticipation. The instructor hides it well but I can tell she's at least a little rattled by how she takes a single step back, I'll make sure to take this opportunity. "Go get em." I quietly say but they all hear me. They all quickly charge towards her with the speed that could be expected of creatures with such large strides. I keep my 4 top Kaiju back with me, it's probably best to wait and see what she does before sending in my top units. Would be pretty nice if sapphire would join but somehow I doubt that will happen. Surprisingly she keeps her distance while blasting several kaiju with her drones lasers. I watch her intently, she's moving so fast that if my focus wavers for even a second I'll lose track of her. I have a bear create some ice spikes so she needs to jump into the air to avoid them, but I was hoping she would do that so I had the thundercats charge up a
combined attack. They all roar as the lightning travels across the air towards
its target. She thrusts out her trident, its sharp points making direct contact with the attack and letting it run through its metal structure. It seems like that dampened the effect because she didn't react when the lightning reached her hand. She looks right at me as she falls back to the ground, a laser shot coming right for my head. Raven blocks it while I send more lights into the sky. Most of my kaiju are able to live through the lasers since even with large holes being made in their bodies they are much tougher compared to humans. But
that's really only for the first couple shots each. With hundreds of shots firing a second damage pretty quickly racks up and they fell down. While returning them I decide on a different course of action. I think about ravens
tough exoskeleton and big turtles shell as the inspiration. And maybe a tiny bit from Mega Bulldozer from mariner satellite. Just a little bit though. A dozen 50 foot tall knights leave the wand. They are turtle like humanoids with
thick, green armour like exoskeletons and even bigger bits of armour on their arms. They kneel in front of me in a line and line the shields up. This creates an impenetrable wall. I can see faint blue flashes just over the shields as the turtle knights resist the force, the high pitched sound creating a false impression of the power being used. I immediately spot 2 of the drones flying upwards to shoot over the knights. That's not good. Naga fires some sort of poison from its mouth at high speed, 1 drone having to fly back down to avoid it while the other is knocked out of the sky. My other kaiju aside from Raven have to crouch to not be over the shields. "Oh, my bad." I say in embarrassment before getting back to work. Next is Norbert's turn, he lets out a roar as clouds converge. If I have my flock fly over
instructor Audrey we can aim for her even though we can't see past the shields. Massive chunks of ice rain from the sky, lots being vaporised by lasers while others land perfectly. I just stare in awe while Norbert charges up another round. Kaiju whose powers can control the environment around them are really uncommon. It's genuinely so cool that the wand can make stuff like this! The second drop happens but this time the lasers are more accurate. Only 1 iceberg
makes it to the grounds this time. The ground cracks and shakes with the impact. I actually slip and fall on my butt. The kaiju are professional enough not to look, except for pup, but that's fine. It takes me a good few tries to stand back up because of the ice, but after waving my arms around wildly I regain my balance. Probably should have asked 1 of them for help but I suppose even I can have my pride on things.
"THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!" The ground shakes again but this time I grip onto naga for support. They seem to quite like that. I look up in awe, that's all you can do when a huge iceberg soars through the sky in your direction. It's got to be the same size as the submarine. In a panic I summon 5 fizzards
despite how tired it makes me. They blast the chunk of ice as hard as they can with their signature fire. I feel bad but I push them to go even further since the ice isn't melting fast enough. The fire unites into a single blue line and completely evaporates the iceberg. Unfortunately I completely burned out the
fizzards and they collapsed.
"Sorry." I tell them despite my now soar throat. I hear the mini ravens cry out as they
fly into the steam. She must be in there.
Did she throw the ice herself?! I'm going to die! I need to finish the plan before she finds a jaguar to throw at me or something. My mind is brought back to reality by a small but familiar glow. Oh no. The light zooms down so fast I can by see it, it also takes a second before a hole appears in the steam from something passing through it. It doesn't come to me though, instead flying to the left and eventually reaching the furthest left side of the shield wall. By the time I look over she's already moved again. This time a straight white line appeared over the napes of my turtle knights. A second later, like dominoes the heads separate from the bodies and roll down the backs. "Holy cow." I say in horror. I figured she specialised in long range but with that glowy speedy thing the difference seems marginal. Wait no that means she's gotten close!
"Got you!" Raven blocks the trident stab with his wing while I unfurl my own. I send my final lights into the sky, this has to work! "I will not allow an enemy to get away from me! I will not let you take insect queen! I will fulfill my duty!" She monologues while avoiding a series of ice spikes and darts from Norbert and pup. The big thing I'm starting to notice is that instructor Audrey is getting more aggressive. She's taking more hits because she is so focused on dishing them out. We can use that. Naga manages to coil around and restrain her, right and ready for an attack from pups claws. Non lethally, as I'm sure she's aware. "Not like this!" beeping sound comes from her helmet and a few seconds later missiles hit my kaiju. Wait what?! Did she call an air strike from her ship?! That's insane! Through the smoke only 1 emerges. Darn it, I'm out of energy, if this doesn't work I'm done. There's sparks flying off her suit, that air strike obviously hit her as well. Ok, time
to end th-.
"Argh!" Suddenly a gloved hand squeezes my neck and lifts me up. I kick my legs wildly in open air and try to pull the fingers open but it's
just not happening. I can feel the air leaving my body as everything gets blurry. What do I do? Am I gonna die?! Wait! She told me the way to get out of this. I focus as hard as I can and mentally call to 1 of my lights in the sky. It
zooms down towards us, a green line of light in the night. With her reflexes I'm sure she realises what's about to happen just before the bomber beetle makes contact with her arm. It's glowing horn makes contact with her joint and cracks, glowing gas flowing out and exploding like a grenade. Searing heat rushes
over me, a power that breaks some bones and I can't even describe what it sounds
like because of the ringing in my ears. But it did it's job as instructor Audrey let's go as we are both forced apart by the explosion. I roll for a moment and then slide. Gosh I'm so dizzy. I quickly stand up as best as I can and see that she's dazed but recovering. This is my chance!
"Nice trick… but your out of energy…. You lost… you mariner satellite reject…" Wow she's almost as tired as I am. Wait what was that other bit? But she is right, I'm out of energy, but not options. I shakily point my hand up to the night sky, full of stars. Red stars, blue stars, green stars, yellow
stars, pink stars. I knew that I couldn't beat her in a head on fight even without her mech, so I've been prepping a single big 1. I needed her distracted and occupied while I built up my bomber beetles without her noticing. Didn't plan to come so close to dying but you win some you lose some I suppose. At least I should be out of range for the brunt of the impact. Probably.
"Single target carpet bombing!" The 'stars' all
fall in an unnatural way, all heading towards the gold ranger. Her drones come to life and move to protect their owner somehow but it's too slow. A rainbow of various explosions burst forth with my opponent in the centre. At least 200 bomber beetles collide with her, returning to the wand when they detonate. "Sorry." I say to them andhold onto some broken ice to not be sent flying. The single
target carpet bombing goes on for a minute straight and by the end I swear my bones are shaking. Gosh I hope that didn't kill her. I feel a strange tingling in my hands. I look down and see that my outfit is disappearing. NONONONONO! Can anyone see me?! I look around and see a bunch airships flying this way, search lights scanning the area around the hole. I rush over as fast as I can, I don't know what I'm going to do but I need to see if Misty and Lilith got out. My pink outfit fades into dust to reveal my green uniform while soldiers drop down on ropes and yell something I don't pay attention to. I feel tears stream down my face while my eyes and hair change back to blue and black. This can't be how it ends! Please can someone help!
"Ask and you shall receive!" A tornado of black and gold particles raises wildly out of the submarine hole. It spins for a moment before dispersing and spreading around the area in less than a second. I close my eyes
to not get any of it in my eyes. When I open them again I'm shocked to see that I have none of the dust on me or the wand. The next thing I notice is that things have gotten really quiet. Every soldier has stopped perfectly in place. At least 3 of them are pointing guns at me but it's hard to feel afraid when it looks like someone pressed the pause button. I look up and the stealth air ships are being held in the air with threads wrapped around them as well as giant pincers tearing the wings off. "Dummy!" I feel a tiny thump on my forehead. "Jerk! Dummy! Reckless! Dummy!" Each shout is followed by a tiny kick to my forehead. I take several steps back to avoid the miniscule onslaught and embarrassment. The worst part is that it's all true.
"I'm sorry! We had to save you!" I try to explain while she takes a breath to calm down. "I just hated the idea that I'd never get to see you again!" The tears keep coming. I was really hoping I'd look cooler for this.
"Give the guy a break won't you? This wasn't exactly easy." Misty walks up to us with her hands in her pockets. This is nice. Scenery could be better.
"Your not any better!" She points her red finger at Misty. "Not only did you disobey me, but you made Haruo cry!".
"That was you! You tiny asshole!".
"Oh." All of the anger Lilith held seems to
evaporate. She gives a beautiful smile to both of us. "Thank you. Your both so amazing." She says gently.
"N-no problem." I mutter while looking at the ground.
"I'm assuming you erased everyone's memories of this, including her." Misty points at the instructor. She was using her trident for
support to get up. Or at least she was before she froze. Her helmet is shattered and the suit is damaged all over. Despite how much she's bleeding it's good to see that I didn't kill her.
It's hard to tell if she would have been able to get up because her eyes are completely glazed over because of the dust. I'll count that as a draw. I can't believe I drew against a gold ranger. That's amazing. "So let's go before reinforcements arrive. We have loose ends for you to work your magic on.".
"Of course. While we're on the way I can keep telling you both how angry I am!" Lilith starts buzzing around again while things fly into
her body. In surprise I look up and see a bunch of those clones she made in the
basement, floating in the sky. That's a little scary. But that's ok. I don't know everything about Misty and Lilith, but I'm going to trust them. I'll find out what that whole thing was about, but I know that they're my friends.
