Lavayla did not respond immediately.
Mirek's words settled slowly, almost too slowly, as if her mind refused to accept them at first.
"My world?" she repeated, quieter this time.
He nodded.
Something in her expression shifted. Not shock exactly, but disbelief mixed with caution. Her fingers tightened slightly around Vai before easing again.
"What did you see?" she asked.
Her voice was careful now, "Tell me everything."
Mirek did not rush his answer. He spoke simply, describing what he had seen, what he had felt, the unfamiliar structures, the environment, the strangeness and wonder of a world without beasts, the people, the pace, the difference in everything.
Lavayla listened without interrupting.
At some point, her gaze lowered. By the time he finished, she had gone completely still.
A quiet stretched between them.
Then she let out a slow breath and gave a small nod.
"…Then it really was," she said.
Mirek watched her, waiting.
