Chapter 35 - Clues to the Artifact

On an Island, they found clues to the Artifact.

Hu Yulun said excitedly, "We're getting closer to the Artifact."

However, what they didn't know was that a greater crisis was awaiting them.

As they followed the clues deeper into the Island, the atmosphere around them became increasingly eerie. In the dense Forest, the branches and leaves intertwined, forming natural barriers. Hu Yulun, holding his sword, cautiously led the way, his eyes focused and alert, each step taken with extra care.

Isabella followed closely behind, her magic staff emitting a faint glow. Her heart was racing, and her breathing became rapid. "Hu Yulun, I feel like there's something unsettling here," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.

Merlin frowned, constantly observing the surroundings, tightly clutching his spellbook, and muttering incantations, ready to deal with any potential dangers.

Suddenly, a gust of wind howled past, causing the leaves to rustle. Hu Yulun stopped, signaling everyone to be quiet. "Shh, it sounds like something's there," he said in a low voice, his eyes sharpening.

Just then, a group of dark shadows swept over their heads, emitting a sharp cry. Isabella was so frightened she nearly screamed, but Hu Yulun quickly covered her mouth with his hand. "Don't make a sound!" he whispered.

After the shadow disappeared into the distance, they continued forward. The path beneath their feet turned muddy, making each step a struggle. Hu Yulun's shoes were already caked in mud, but he didn't care, pressing on with determination.

"Look, what's that?" Merlin said, pointing towards a Cave ahead.

A mysterious mist swirled at the Cave's entrance, obscuring what lay within. Hu Yulun took a deep breath. "Whatever it is, we have to go in and see."

They entered the Cave. It was dark and damp, water droplets clinging to the walls. Hu Yulun used his torch to illuminate the surroundings, revealing strange symbols carved into the Cave walls.

Isabella curiously approached, reaching out to touch the symbols. "Don't touch anything!" Merlin shouted, trying to stop her.

But it was too late. The moment Isabella's hand made contact, a deep rumbling echoed through the Cave. The ground began to shake violently, and stones rained down from above.

"Run!" Hu Yulun yelled, pulling Isabella and Merlin towards the entrance.

In the chaos, a falling stone grazed Hu Yulun's arm, drawing blood. He ignored the pain, focused on protecting his companions.

Finally, they escaped the Cave. Isabella looked at Hu Yulun's wounds with concern, using magic to heal him. "Are you alright?" she asked, her eyes filled with worry.

Hu Yulun shook his head. "I'm fine. Let's keep looking for the Artifact."

They continued searching on the Island and eventually arrived in front of an ancient Temple. The Temple doors were closed, and intricate patterns were carved on them.

Hu Yulun pushed the doors with all his strength, but they didn't budge. "Let me try," Merlin said, stepping forward and casting a spell, but the doors remained shut.

"What are we going to do?" Isabella asked anxiously.

Hu Yulun pondered for a moment and suddenly discovered a stone tablet next to the door, on which some words were carved. "Maybe this is a clue to open the doors," he said.

Merlin carefully studied the words on the stone tablet and finally found the way to open the doors. The doors slowly opened, and a powerful force rushed out.

They entered the Temple, and a mysterious light filled the air. In the center of the Temple, there was a chest emitting a dazzling light.

"The Artifact must be inside," Hu Yulun said excitedly.

As they approached the treasure chest, a huge figure emerged from the shadows. It was a Monster guarding the Artifact, its form massive and its face ferocious, radiating a terrifying aura.

Hu Yulun gripped his sword, ready to fight. "Come on, Monster!" he roared.

The Monster roared and charged at them. Hu Yulun didn't back down and engaged in a fierce battle. His sword left wounds on the Monster, but its attacks also left him struggling to cope.

Isabella continuously cast spells from the side, providing support for Hu Yulun. Merlin recited incantations, trying to weaken the Monster's power.

After a hard-fought battle, the Monster finally fell to the ground. Hu Yulun, panting heavily, walked to the treasure chest and slowly opened it.

However, there was no Artifact inside, only a note. Hu Yulun picked up the note, which read: "The power of the Artifact is not easily obtained; only through a true test can one possess it."

Hu Yulun's expression became serious. "What does this mean?" Isabella asked.

Merlin thought for a moment and said, "Perhaps we need to complete some tasks to obtain the Artifact."

Just then, the Temple began to shake, as if it were about to collapse. "This is bad, let's get out of here quickly!" Hu Yulun shouted.

They hastily left the Temple and found that the entire Island was in chaos. A storm raged, and waves relentlessly crashed against the shore.

"What on earth is going on?" Isabella said in terror.

Hu Yulun looked at the sky and said firmly, "No matter what, we can't give up."

They struggled forward in the wind and rain, searching for a way to leave the Island. Suddenly, a mysterious voice sounded in their ears: "If you want to leave here, you must find three lost Gems."

Hu Yulun looked around, but couldn't see who was speaking. "Where are the Gems?" he asked loudly.

The mysterious voice replied, "The Gems are located in three different places on the Island; only the brave and the wise can find them."

Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin exchanged glances and nodded, deciding to split up to search for the Gems.

Hu Yulun followed a rugged mountain path, encountering various traps and obstacles along the way. He carefully avoided the traps, using his sword to cut through branches blocking his path. Sweat soaked his clothes, but his steps never faltered.

Isabella entered a swamp, taking extra care with each step to avoid sinking into the mud. She used her magic to sense the location of the Gems, silently praying that she could find them quickly.

Merlin went to an ancient castle, which was filled with magical mechanisms and Monsters. Relying on his knowledge of magic and his courage, he ventured deeper into the castle.

After a difficult search, they finally found the three lost Gems. When they brought the Gems together, a flash of light appeared, and they were transported to a mysterious place.

This was a huge Labyrinth, with walls that flickered with strange light. Hu Yulun looked at the Labyrinth, a sense of unease rising within him. "Be careful, everyone, this place may be full of danger," he said.

They cautiously entered the Labyrinth, each crossroads making them feel lost. Isabella used her magic staff to probe the path ahead, while Merlin recalled his knowledge of Labyrinths in his mind.

Suddenly, a low roar came from the darkness. Hu Yulun gripped his sword warily, "Prepare for battle!" he shouted.

A giant Monster charged out of the darkness, claws outstretched, lunging at them. Hu Yulun met it head-on, engaging in a desperate fight. Isabella and Merlin assisted from the side, using magic to attack the Monster's weak points.

The Monster's strength was immense, and Hu Yulun gradually felt his stamina waning. Just then, Isabella discovered the Monster's fatal flaw. "Hu Yulun, attack its eyes!" she shouted.

Hearing this, Hu Yulun used his last bit of strength to thrust his sword into the Monster's eyes. The Monster roared in agony and fell to the ground.

They continued forward in the Labyrinth, finally finding the exit. At the exit, the Artifact appeared before them. The Artifact radiated a powerful energy, leaving them in awe.

Hu Yulun stepped forward and reached out to grasp the Artifact. At that moment, the Artifact released a surge of powerful energy, enveloping them.

When the light vanished, they found themselves back on the Island. The Artifact's power made them feel incredibly strong, but they also knew that this power had to be used for a just cause.

"We'll take the Artifact back and help more people," Hu Yulun said.

Isabella and Merlin nodded in agreement. Carrying the Artifact, they began their journey back.

During their return journey, they encountered a Merchant Ship under attack by Pirates. Hu Yulun immediately decided to help the ship.

"You wretched Pirates, your end has come!" Hu Yulun shouted as he charged towards the Pirate ship.

Isabella and Merlin also cast spells, assisting Hu Yulun. Seeing their formidable strength, the Pirates scattered in fear.

The Merchant Ship's crew were filled with gratitude, "Thank you! You are true heroes!"

Hu Yulun smiled and said, "It's what we should do."

Back on the mainland, their deeds spread to every corner. People were filled with admiration and praise for them.

However, they didn't become arrogant. They knew that the path of justice never ends, and more challenges awaited them.

In a peaceful town, a series of bizarre thefts had recently occurred. Upon hearing the news, Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin decided to investigate.

They arrived in the town and questioned the residents. An old man, looking worried, said, "Our belongings have disappeared inexplicably, and there are no clues."

Hu Yulun comforted the old man, "Don't worry, we'll find out the truth."

They began searching for clues around the town. Hu Yulun carefully examined every corner, not missing any trace. Isabella used magic to sense unusual energy fluctuations, while Merlin consulted various magical books, trying to find relevant magical traces.

After some investigation, they discovered that these thefts seemed to be related to a type of invisibility magic.

"This is troublesome; invisibility magic is difficult to crack," Merlin said, frowning.

Hu Yulun thought for a moment and said, "We can set a trap to lure the thief."

They placed some precious items in the town square and set up a magical barrier around them. As night fell, a figure quietly appeared in the square.

Hu Yulun and the others hid in the shadows, closely watching the figure. When the figure approached the items, the magical barrier was triggered, emitting a dazzling light.

"Catch him!" Hu Yulun shouted, charging forward.

The thief tried to run, but Isabella's magic trapped him.

"Why were you stealing?" Hu Yulun questioned.

The thief lowered his head and said, "I had no choice. My family is sick and needs money for treatment."

Hu Yulun's heart softened upon hearing this. "We can help you, but you can't go about things the wrong way anymore," he said.

In the end, they helped the thief's family get better, and the thief turned over a new leaf.

The townspeople held a celebration for them. "Thank you for restoring peace to our town," one resident said.

Hu Yulun and the others smiled and celebrated with the residents, their hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment.

But their adventure continued, with new challenges constantly emerging. In a mysterious Forest, it was said there was a Fountain that could grant immortality, but it was guarded by an evil Wizard.

Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin, upon hearing this, decided to seek out the Fountain. The Forest was shrouded in a thick fog, and the tall, dense trees made it easy to get lost.

Hu Yulun led the way, using his sword to make marks on the trees. Isabella followed closely behind him, her magic staff illuminating the path ahead. Merlin cautiously observed their surroundings, on guard for any danger.

Suddenly, a chilling laugh echoed through the air. "Who's there?" Hu Yulun demanded.

A dark shadow flew overhead and vanished in an instant.

"That must be the evil Wizard," Merlin said.

They pressed on and finally found the Fountain. It shimmered with an otherworldly light, beautiful and mysterious.

But just then, the Wizard appeared. "You won't get the Fountain!" the Wizard roared.

Hu Yulun was fearless. "We're here to save lives! You can't stop us!"

A fierce magical battle erupted. The Wizard unleashed powerful dark magic, attempting to defeat them. Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin worked closely together, using their courage and intelligence to fight back.

After a grueling battle, they finally defeated the Wizard and obtained the Fountain.

"We'll use this Fountain to help those in need," Hu Yulun declared.

They left the Forest, carrying the Fountain, to aid those suffering from terminal illnesses.

Their good deeds spread throughout the world, and people's respect for them grew even deeper.

During an adventure, they encountered a cursed village. The villagers suffered nightmares every night, their minds slowly breaking down.

Hu Yulun and the others decided to help them break the curse. They searched everywhere for clues, discovering that the source of the curse was an ancient Artifact.

To find the item, they ventured deep into the underground Cave. The Cave was dark, damp, and filled with all sorts of dangerous Monsters.

Hu Yulun carefully navigated each challenge, Isabella used her magic to protect the group, and Merlin employed his knowledge to solve the Cave's puzzles.

Finally, they found the Artifact. Hu Yulun used the Artifact's power to lift the curse, and the village returned to its former tranquility.

"Thank you, you are our saviors," the villagers said gratefully.

Hu Yulun and the others smiled and bid farewell to the villagers, continuing their righteous journey.

Their story became a legend, inspiring generations to bravely pursue justice and kindness...

On a bright, sunny morning, Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin were leisurely resting on a peaceful grassland. A gentle breeze brushed by, and the green grass carpeted the ground, resembling a beautiful painting. Hu Yulun lay on the grass, hands behind his head, gazing at the azure sky, his heart filled with anticipation for the future.

Isabella sat nearby, picking wildflowers from the roadside and weaving them into a beautiful garland. A gentle smile played on her face, and she hummed a melodious tune.

Merlin stood not far away, holding his staff and casting a small spell at a distant hill, seemingly testing his newly learned magical skills.

"Hey, guys, what kind of adventure awaits us next?" Hu Yulun suddenly sat up, his eyes shining with excitement.

Isabella smiled and placed a flower crown on her head, saying, "Whatever it is, I believe we can overcome it as long as we're together."

Merlin turned around, smiling in response, "Indeed, justice will always be with us."

Just then, a white dove flew over and landed on Hu Yulun's shoulder. A letter was tied to the dove's leg. After Hu Yulun took the letter and read it, his expression turned serious.

"What's wrong, Hu Yulun?" Isabella asked with concern, putting down the wildflowers in her hands and walking over to him.

Hu Yulun frowned and said, "The letter says that in an ancient Town in the west, a mysterious disease has appeared. Many people have fallen ill, and the illness is still spreading."

Merlin walked over, his expression grave, and said, "Then we must go and take a look immediately. Perhaps we can find a solution."

So, they immediately packed their bags and set off on their journey to the Town. They traveled non-stop, day and night.

When they finally arrived at the Town, the scene before them shocked them. The streets were empty, the doors and windows were tightly closed, and occasionally one could hear coughs and painful moans coming from inside the houses.

Hu Yulun was anxious. He quickly walked towards a house and gently knocked on the door. "Is anyone there? We're here to help you," he called out.

Isabella followed closely behind him, the faint light from her magic staff illuminating the dark corners.

Merlin, meanwhile, observed the surroundings as he walked, muttering to himself, trying to sense the fluctuations of magic.

Suddenly, a Giant Scorpion leaped out from the darkness. Hu Yulun swiftly drew his sword and engaged the Giant Scorpion in a fierce battle.

Isabella anxiously shouted, "Hu Yulun, be careful!"

Merlin then cast a spell, sending a stream of fire towards the Giant Scorpion, creating an opening for Hu Yulun.

After a hard-fought battle, they finally defeated the Giant Scorpion. Continuing deeper into the Abandoned Mine, they finally found the remnants of the magic experiment.

"Look, there are some strange magical runes here," Merlin said, pointing at the wall.

Hu Yulun walked forward, carefully examining the runes, and said, "Perhaps this is the cause of the disease."

Isabella said, "We need to decipher the secrets of these runes as quickly as possible."

They began to study the runes, and after days and nights of effort, they finally found a way to cure the disease.

They used magic and herbs to create an antidote and distributed it to the residents of the Town. The residents' conditions gradually improved, and the Town regained its former vitality.

"Thank you, you are our saviors," the residents said, expressing their gratitude.

Hu Yulun smiled and said, "It's our duty."

However, before they could catch their breath, a new challenge arose. In the southern seas, a mysterious Ghost Ship appeared. It was said that any ship that approached it would mysteriously disappear.

Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin decided without hesitation to investigate. They boarded a small boat and sailed towards the mysterious sea.

The sea was turbulent, and waves constantly crashed against the hull. Hu Yulun gripped the helm tightly, struggling to control the direction of the boat.

Isabella stood at the bow, using magic to sense the danger ahead.

Merlin sat in the cabin, poring over an ancient nautical book, searching for clues about the Ghost Ship.

"Look, what's that?" Isabella suddenly shouted, pointing into the distance.

A huge black ship appeared before them, radiating an eerie glow.

Hu Yulun took a deep breath and said, "This should be the Ghost Ship."

They cautiously approached the Ghost Ship, and suddenly, a powerful force pulled their small boat towards it.

Hu Yulun and Isabella nearly fell, while Merlin gripped the edge of the cabin tightly.

"Everyone, be careful!" Hu Yulun shouted.

They boarded the Ghost Ship. A thick fog permeated the vessel, obscuring the path ahead.

Hu Yulun cautiously moved forward, when suddenly, he heard a chilling laugh.

"Who's there?" Hu Yulun asked warily.

A blurry figure slowly emerged from the fog, revealed to be the cursed Captain.

"You shouldn't be here," the Captain said coldly.

Hu Yulun replied, "We're here to uncover the secrets of this place and restore peace to these waters."

The Captain let out a loud laugh, "Then try, if you dare."

A fierce battle erupted. The clash of Hu Yulun's sword against the Captain's scimitar sent sparks flying.

Isabella cast spells from the side, supporting Hu Yulun.

Merlin chanted incantations, attempting to lift the Captain's curse.

After a fierce battle, they finally defeated the Captain and broke the Ghost Ship's curse.

The ship returned to normal, and they returned to land, filled with the joy of victory.

But their adventure was far from over. In a distant valley, it was said that a Magical Gem existed that could grant any wish, but it was guarded by a powerful Monster.

Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin, upon hearing this, embarked on a new journey. They traversed dense forests, crossed treacherous mountain peaks, and finally arrived at the valley.

The valley had beautiful scenery, but they had no time to appreciate it. Hu Yulun cautiously observed his surroundings, his sword held tightly in his hand.

Isabella whispered, "I can feel a powerful force."

Merlin nodded, "The gem should be nearby."

Suddenly, a roar echoed, and a giant monster appeared before them. The monster was several meters tall, its body covered in tough scales.

Hu Yulun fearlessly charged forward, engaging the monster in battle.

The monster swung its massive claws, lunging at Hu Yulun. He dodged nimbly, seizing the opportunity to attack.

Isabella cast spells, beams of light striking the monster.

Merlin manipulated the surrounding elements, creating openings for Hu Yulun.

After a thrilling battle, the monster finally fell to the ground. They found the Magical Gem, but its power was too great and had to be used cautiously.

Hu Yulun said, "We must use the power of this gem to benefit the world, not to satisfy personal desires."

Isabella and Merlin both nodded in agreement.

They left the valley with the gem and continued on their righteous path.

During an adventure, they arrived at a castle shrouded in Dark Magic. The residents of the castle had all been turned into stone statues, and the entire castle was deathly silent.

Hu Yulun looked at the scene before him, his heart filled with anger. "This Dark Magic is too evil; we must break it."

Isabella said, "But this magic is very powerful, we must be careful."

Merlin carefully observed the structure of the castle and said, "I've found the core of the magic array; perhaps destroying it will dispel the magic."

They sneaked into the castle, avoiding various magical traps.

Hu Yulun led the way, taking each step with extreme caution.

Isabella followed closely behind, her magic staff at the ready to handle any unexpected events.

Merlin brought up the rear, constantly monitoring the surrounding magical fluctuations.

Finally, they located the core of the magic array. Hu Yulun raised his sword, preparing to destroy it.

Just then, a Dark Wizard appeared. "You won't destroy my magic array!" the wizard roared.

Hu Yulun didn't flinch. "Your evil magic will not succeed."

A fierce magical duel erupted. The wizard unleashed all sorts of powerful Dark Magic. Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin worked closely together, using their courage and wisdom to fight back.

In the end, they successfully destroyed the magic array, dispelling the Dark Magic, and the castle's residents returned to normal.

The residents were overflowing with gratitude, and their fame spread once more throughout the world.

But they didn't stop, continuing to face new challenges, for justice, for peace, never ceasing…

On a cold winter's day, they received a letter of help from a remote mountain village. The letter said that a terrifying Snow Demon had appeared in the village, attacking the villagers every night, and many people had been injured or even lost their lives.

After Hu Yulun finished reading the letter, he immediately decided to go to the village. "We can't let the Snow Demon continue to do evil." His eyes were filled with determination.

Isabella and Merlin followed him without hesitation. They braved the severe cold and trudged through the snow.

When they arrived at the village, they found it silent, with people hiding in their homes, afraid to go out.

Hu Yulun found the village chief and learned about the Snow Demon. "This Snow Demon is incredibly strong and extremely fast; we can't deal with it at all," the village chief said worriedly.

Hu Yulun comforted the village chief, "Don't worry, we'll find a way."

Night fell, and the Snow Demon indeed appeared. It was entirely white, almost invisible in the snow.

Hu Yulun sensed the Snow Demon's movements and shouted, "Over there!"

Isabella quickly cast a spell, and a beam of light illuminated the Snow Demon's location.

Merlin began chanting an incantation, attempting to restrict the Snow Demon's actions.

The Snow Demon lunged at them in a rage. Hu Yulun, without fear, engaged in a fierce battle with it.

His sword flashed with cold light in the snowy night, each strike delivered with all his strength.

Isabella continuously cast protective magic on Hu Yulun, while simultaneously attacking the Snow Demon with her spells.

Merlin, meanwhile, was searching for the Snow Demon's weakness.

After a hard-fought battle, Merlin finally discovered the Snow Demon's weakness lay in its eyes.

"Hu Yulun, attack its eyes!" Merlin shouted.

Hu Yulun leaped into action at the order, thrusting his sword towards the Snow Demon's eyes.

The Snow Demon howled in pain, collapsing to the ground and melting into a pile of snow.

The villagers poured out of their homes, cheering with joy.

"Thank you! You are heroes!" the villagers exclaimed excitedly.

Hu Yulun smiled and said, "As long as everyone is safe, that's all that matters."

However, they didn't have time to rest. A new mission awaited them. In a mysterious forest, a flower that could control minds was blooming, and if they didn't deal with it in time, the consequences would be dire.

Without hesitation, Hu Yulun, Isabella, and Merlin set off on their journey once more.

The forest was dark and damp, filled with a strange, sweet fragrance.

Hu Yulun cautiously said, "Be careful, everyone. This scent might be the magic of the flowers."

Isabella used her magic to shield them from the scent's effects.

Merlin carefully observed the surrounding plants, searching for the location of the flowers.

Finally, they found the blooming flowers. The blossoms were beautiful and vibrant, but they also exuded a dangerous aura.

Hu Yulun was about to step forward to destroy the flowers when a group of Elves suddenly appeared.

"These flowers are our treasures; you cannot destroy them," the Elves said.

Hu Yulun explained, "These flowers will harm humans. If we don't deal with them, more people will be hurt."

After some communication, the Elves finally understood their intentions.

With the Elves' help, they successfully controlled the flower's magic, averting a disaster.

Their adventure continues, with each challenge strengthening their belief in justice...
