Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2 — “THE PERFECT NEW STUDENT WALKS INTO HELL

The moment Li Wen arrived at **Hengyuan Vocational High School**, he understood one thing:

This place wasn't a school.

It was an ecosystem.

A cruel, self-sustaining hierarchy built from hormones, insecurity, fashion trends, and unprovoked violence.

A perfect place for someone like him to die quietly—

or, apparently, for someone in a perfect body to accidentally sparkle.

Students walking through the gate turned to stare.

At **him**.

Not at his uniform.

Not at his nervous expression.

At **his entire existence**.

Li Wen tried to look normal.

Instead, he looked like a model pretending to look normal.

Even the security guard blinked twice, wondering if a celebrity had wandered into the wrong neighborhood.

Li Wen walked in carefully…

…then immediately crashed into someone.

A large someone.

A very large someone.

His forehead bounced off a chest built like compressed concrete.

The world smelled like sweat, cigarette smoke, and poorly concealed teen rage.

The mountain looked down at him.

"Watch where you're going, pretty boy."

Li Wen froze.

This was the academic equivalent of stepping on a land mine.

He raised his hands.

"Sorry! I didn't see you—"

The mountain leaned closer.

"Are you new?"

"Yes."

"That explains the stupidity."

The mountain's friends laughed.

A harsh, sharp sound.

Like metal scraping metal.

Li Wen wasn't used to this.

His original body?

Absolutely.

Being shoved, mocked, cornered—every day.

But in this body?

Even being *insulted* felt strange.

He forced a smile.

"I really didn't mean—"

The mountain shoved him with one finger.

A gentle push.

Gentle for him.

Enough to send Li Wen stumbling several steps.

The perfect body kept its balance like a cat.

That only made things worse.

"Oh?" the mountain sneered. "Got good reflexes, huh?"

Li Wen shook his hands frantically.

"No, no, I don't! I'm weak! Very weak! The weakest!"

The crowd watching murmured:

"Who's the new guy?"

"Damn, he's good-looking."

"I bet he's trying to act humble."

"Punch him."

"No, *I* want to punch him."

Li Wen's soul screamed.

Before the mountain could grab him, someone else intervened.

A tall, tanned boy with a shaved head and an aura of righteous delinquency walked out of the crowd.

Eyes blazing with intensity, jaw clenched like he ate iron nails.

This was **Wei Long**, the school's resident "fighter of justice," famous for beating up bullies with dramatic speeches.

He pointed straight at the mountain.

"You! Pick on someone your own size!"

Li Wen internally screamed,

**NOT ME!! NOT ME!! I'M NOT THE "OWN SIZE"!!**

But Wei Long had already positioned himself in front of him like a bodyguard.

The mountain laughed.

"Oh look. It's the idiot hero."

Wei Long cracked his knuckles.

"Justice never sleeps."

"Then go back to bed," the mountain shot back.

The crowd oohed.

Li Wen, trapped between them, flailed his arms.

"WAIT—STOP—WE DON'T NEED TO FIGHT—"

Both ignored him.

The first punch was thrown.

Not by Wei Long.

Not by the mountain.

But by someone else flying out of nowhere.

A blur.

Fast.

Precise.

A kick landed square on the mountain's face.

**WHAM.**

The mountain staggered.

The crowd gasped.

The blur landed gracefully, turning into a student Li Wen had never seen before.

Lean.

Beautiful.

Expression cold.

Rumors exploded immediately:

"W-Who is he!?"

"That's the new guy in Class 2!"

"I heard he's insanely strong."

"No one knows where he came from."

Li Wen blinked.

"…How is someone like THAT in this school?"

As he admired —

he froze.

Something inside him pulsed.

A faint, familiar sensation.

Like a string connecting him to something far away…

*thump*

*thump*

*thump*

Li Wen rubbed his chest.

Why did that other boy's presence feel…

**wrongly familiar?**

He shook his head.

No. Impossible.

He had ONE perfect body.

His original broken body.

That was it.

That was—

The mysterious boy glanced at him.

Just for a moment.

His eyes lingered.

As if he recognized Li Wen.

As if he sensed something.

Then he disappeared into the hallway with silent steps.

Li Wen swallowed hard.

"Who… was that?"

Wei Long slapped him on the back.

"Don't worry, brother! I protected you!"

Li Wen coughed.

"Y-You were beaten to the punch…"

"Nonsense! Justice was simply faster today!"

Li Wen stared at the school building ahead.

Bullies.

Gangs.

Weirdly handsome fighters.

Strange connections.

Mysteries popping up instantly.

This place wasn't school.

It was chaos with a bell schedule.

And somewhere, out there…

A second heartbeat.

A third.

Waiting.

Watching.

Growing.
