Cecilia creased her eyebrows when Bessa said it resolutely. She sounded like someone who had already made up her mind.
"Yes, I do have a crush on Lord Jenggala," Bessa admitted. "But it's truly nothing serious. We don't know each other that deeply. We've only known each other for a couple of months."
"Is that so?" Cecilia asked. "Then what do you think about Damon?"
Bessa's eyes faltered. "I think he's wonderful..."
"Do you like Damon?" Cecilia pressed.
"Of course I like him—"
"As a man?" Cecilia clarified.
Bessa fell silent.
