Aurora watched him, not sure what to do next now that he sat there in silence. It's not like she could get out of this sea on her own. So she waited for him to finally say something.
And as she finally observed him a little more, she realized that there was something uniquely peaceful about his presence. He reminded her of the sea surrounding them - still, silent, and yet unimaginably powerful.
Unlike most beastman she had met so far, he didn't seem interested in proving his strength or demanding attention. He simply... existed. As though the ocean itself naturally moved around him.
Finally, he broke the silence.
"I saved your life."
Aurora nodded immediately. "You did. And I'll always remember that."
He held her gaze steadily as he added, "I require something in return."
