Darkness.
It stretched endlessly around Aurora, swallowing every trace of light, every sound, every sensation. She couldn't remember how long she had been drifting through it. The icy pain from the sea had disappeared. The desperate burning in her lungs had vanished. Even the panic that had consumed her final moments beneath the water had long since faded into silence.
Then... came warmth. A gentle, comforting warmth slowly surrounded her body.
Aurora frowned slightly in her sleep.
She distinctly remembered falling into the freezing sea. She remembered struggling against the seaweed wrapped tightly around her ankle and her lungs screaming for air before everything turned black. So...
