About a week or two has passed since my "duel" with Kyra in the school courtyard. The duel went both ways in my opinion, but others would say that I ended up losing to her even though she hardly countered my first attack. Hell, if it was with real swords she would've been dead by now if I had started the duel with Quagmire. It's whatever though, that is all in the past now.
Let's talk about what has been going on now lately. Red-Grandma, my birth grandma, was over at the castle lately to see how my mother and everyone else were doing. It was fun having her over I guess? Only because I'd have a chance to spar with her, but that opportunity never came. My older sister Adela has been trying pretty hard lately to get the people in the capital city to like her. I guess she plans on taking the throne, but that doesn't even bother me since I could care less about who succeeds our parents in ruling this kingdom.
Another thing that has been happening is that Kyra and I have been getting very close as of late. I couldn't even believe that we were getting closer to each other that I had to summon Leo over to the castle so we could talk about it. This was Leo's exact response after I told him.
"HOLY SHIT! THE LOVESTRUCK PRINCE FINALLY GETS OVER HIS FIRST CRUSH!?" Leo laughed after he told me that. Of course, I enforced some touki into my hand and slapped the mess out of him. He wasn't wrong at all though, with just the short amount of time I have had with Kyra lately, I was able to get over Kiara like it was nothing.
I still plan on being good friends with Kiara so that won't change at all. The only issue at hand now is how do I finally confirm my feelings for Kyra.
Enough of that now, let's start talking about the present. I'm currently inside of a dojo with Sandor, also known as the North God Kalman II, and Kyra. I've been thinking of improving my North God Style lately, but I had no idea how else to improve it. Kyra is here because this is her usual instructor when it comes to North God Style. I guess she doesn't want her father to teach her anything ha.
Sandor's way of teaching is definitely interesting, but so far I have been able to learn. I'm even learning ways to stop a sword that is being thrown at me. That comes in handy since North God Practitioners love to throw their swords after I cast Quagmire on them. It's still insane how Sandor is a North God, like you wouldn't even believe it if you were seeing him for the first time!
While I was too busy gazing off into nothing, Sandor grabbed a wooden stick and hit my head with it.
"Ouch! What the hell was that for teacher?" I grabbed my head in pain. Sandor was laughing and pointed over at Kyra who was exhausted from training.
"Listen up here kiddo. While you're inside of this dojo and we're training… Don't have any naughty thoughts ok? I already had to deal with that when I had to escort your Grandfather to the village of Supard's." He laughed. I also joined him in laughing because I have heard the stories of that from my Grandpa of course.
"Yeah, yeah teacher. Don't worry, unlike my loving Grandpa I can handle my sexual intentions." I stood up in a proud stance and tried mocking a laugh from the Demon Lord Badigadi.
That didn't end well. All that I got was a weird look from Kyra and Sandor laughed his ass off at me. I felt so embarrassed and angry that I ended up lighting Sandor on fire and waited for a while until I put him out. If he wasn't half immortal demon then I wouldn't have used fire magic on him.
Kyra definitely laughed at me for setting Sandor on fire so everything was fine after that. I got rid of the fire and cast some healing magic on Sandor. He wasn't really happy about me setting him on fire, but he learned to tolerate it. After that, he summoned me and Kyra to the center of the dojo fo sparring session.
Sandor was holding a wooden stick that resembled a rod while Kyra and I had wooden swords. The crazy part about this spar is that Sandor said I could use magic. This caught me by surprise, but I will take it no matter what. Before we started I called Kyra over to me so we could work out a strategy.
"Alright black-haired beauty, what's the game plan?" I asked. Immediately after that she punched me in my stomach and blushed like crazy.
"W-Well the first thing we have to do is find a way to get past his defenses. Sure he's a North God, but we might have a chance to win if we can work out together. I already know your signals for your magic skills so you don't have to worry about me getting in your way." She explained.
"How about you go on the full offensive and I can switch between defense and offense ok? You don't necessarily have any skills in defense so this should work out Everett."
"Got it. Let's get ready to hopefully win against this North God somehow."
After we got done planning we waited for Sandor to start the spar.
To make a long story short, we lost.
The fight was so one-sided that it wasn't even fair. Every time I tried to attack him he would just dodge it easily. Whenever I tried to use Stone Bullet, he'd just either evade it easily or cut through it like it was nothing. Whenever I would switch spots with Kyra, Sandor would get right past her easily.
No matter what we did, Sandor would counter it basically.
The aftermath of this amazing spar was us (me and Kyra) lying beside each other exhausted and with a lot of bruises. Who would know that a wooden stick would do so much?
"So… That obviously didn't work…" I laughed before grabbing my side in agony.
Kyra rolled her eyes before trying to laugh too. After that Sandor came up to both of us.
"Alright rookies, training is over now. Maybe you two will be able to beat me in a year or 2, who knows. You two have amazing potential though. Just not the potential to be a North God like your amazing teacher and his son."
Sandor was about to continue until I cut him off.
"Actually teacher, I have something to ask. Just what is Aleksander like? I've heard stories about him but I don't know if I should believe these said 'stories'." I asked.
"Hm… I'll let you know whenever you two can beat me alright?" Sandor laughed after that and walked off.
The only people who were in the dojo at this point were Kyra, and I. Being the person I am due to my noble blood I don't know if I'll be able to stay calm in a situation like this. My mind is already having wild thoughts like 'Oh Kyra~ We shouldn't be doing this in the dojo, what if someone walks in and sees us together~' and shit. I'm losing my damn mind here.
Right before my body was going to act with my mind, Kyra sat up and looked at me.
"So Everett… I've been thinking lately about how much we've been hanging out and stuff… I was wondering if-"
Before she even had the chance to continue her sentence I sat up as fast as I could and looked her directly in her eyes.
"About that Kyra, don't even worry about it. I understand your feelings a lot too, but we're moving too fast right now…" As soon as I said this she smacked me.
"What the hell are you thinking about dumbass? I was just wondering if we're friends or not jeez."
"O-Oh… I thought you finally wanted a piece of the amazing prince I am of course." I laughed before she rolled her eyes and laughed with me. I'm just going to assume that she didn't understand what I was talking about.
When I looked outside of the dojo, it was dark outside. Of course being the nice gentleman I am I held out my hand towards Kyra.
"Would you allow me to accompany you back to your house m'lady?" I bowed down to her just so I could add onto the joke and she immediately hit the back of my head.
"Yeah right loser. Like I'd ever let you walk me home." She rolled her eyes before letting out a soft sigh.
"Maybe next time alright? Because I'm sure this isn't a one time thing or something, only because this is you offering. Think you can wait prince?"
"Of course I can. Welp, I'll see you later then Kyra."
We both waved at each other before heading our separate ways.
