Chapter 93 - Chapter 92: Song Yue’s Blood Demon Art

"Blood Demon Art: Silver Snow Bind!"

With a sharp cry, two white bandages shot out from Song Yue's waist, whipping toward Rengoku Kyojuro.

Rengoku reacted instantly, slashing at the bandage on his left.

He had expected resistance—something tough or metallic.

Instead, the blade sliced through it with ease.

Unexpected.

But he did not hesitate. He pivoted to deal with the one on his right—

Only for Song Yue to move again.

Her blood splattered into the air and reshaped itself into a syringe.

Without hesitation, she stabbed it into her arm and injected the contents.

Ryuya narrowed his eyes.

The previous liquid had been green.

This time—

It was bright red.

"Die. Die. Just die for me!"

Red patterns bloomed across Song Yue's body.

The two bandages multiplied—

Four.

Six.

Eight.

They descended like a net cast from heaven, striking toward Rengoku.

Ryuya did not interfere.

Song Yue's sudden appearance intrigued him. He wanted to see how far she could go.

"You—Young Master Ryuya?"

Lower Rank Three, who had approached cautiously, stiffened upon seeing him.

Ryuya was Muzan's son—and the one in charge of the Lower Ranks.

Respect and fear coexisted in his heart.

Ryuya merely gave him a faint smile.

"Young Master Ryuya, should I assist her?"

"No—"

Before Ryuya could finish, the battle shifted.

In her berserk state, Song Yue gained the upper hand.

One bandage coiled tightly around Rengoku's sword arm, binding it firmly.

Rengoku felt his muscles stiffen.

It wasn't merely restraint.

There was toxin in the cloth.

His arm grew numb. His thoughts dulled.

He bit down hard on his lip, using pain to clear his mind. Switching hands, he raised his blade and brought it down in a blazing arc.

Flames roared.

The bandages binding him—and those attacking—were burned to ash.

Song Yue faltered briefly.

In that instant, Rengoku surged forward, flames spiraling around his blade as he struck toward her.

"You won't have it so easy!"

Lower Rank Four, Hantengu, suddenly reappeared, hurling a crimson fruit toward Rengoku.

Rengoku was forced to halt his advance.

The fruit burst upon impact.

Its skin split open, releasing countless thorn-like tendrils that lashed outward like living tentacles.

Rengoku's pupils tightened. He slashed rapidly, severing the thorns while retreating.

Hantengu, invigorated, began stuffing more crimson fruits into her mouth.

With each one consumed—

She grew.

From barely half Ryuya's height to towering as large as a house within moments.

If she continued at this rate, she might reach the size of a giant and simply crush Rengoku beneath her foot.

But just as Hantengu seemed to assist Song Yue—

Song Yue's expression twisted with fury.

Eight bandages shot out and wrapped around Hantengu's enormous body, tightening mercilessly.

"You—what are you doing?!"

Hantengu glared down, shocked and enraged.

"You're obstructing me! You're stealing my chance to shine before Lord Muzan! You vile woman—you deserve to die!"

Song Yue shrieked hysterically.

In her warped devotion, Hantengu's help was not aid.

It was theft.

As the bandages constricted and toxins seeped into Hantengu's body, a tear slid down Song Yue's cheek.

She couldn't disappoint Lord Muzan.

She had to be the strongest.

Strong enough that he would need no one else.

She alone would suffice.

"Blood Demon Art: Tears of Woe."

Murmuring Muzan's name in a trembling voice, Song Yue's tears gathered before her, condensing into a misty humanoid figure.

A puppet.

It resembled her.

The moment it formed, it began walking toward Rengoku.

Ryuya observed closely.

Was it similar to Doma's ice clones?

Could it replicate the original's power?

The answer came swiftly.

Rengoku cut it apart with a single strike.

The puppet dispersed like smoke—fragile and empty.

No resistance.

No counterattack.

Just mist.

Rengoku pushed forward, blade blazing once more toward Song Yue.

But the mist from the destroyed puppet flowed back into her body.

As her tears fell again—

Two puppets formed instead of one.

"So it multiplies…" Ryuya murmured softly.

Destroying them increased their number?

Rengoku seemed to reach the same conclusion.

This time, he ignored the puppets entirely and advanced straight for Song Yue.

As expected, the mist figures did not attack.

His blade cut cleanly toward her neck—

And at the last possible moment—

Song Yue vanished.

She switched places with a mist puppet behind Rengoku.

The blade sliced through empty air.
