Chapter 239 - 239: The World Turns Against Marineford

"Ace, I will definitely save you!"

Luffy dragged himself out of the rubble, coughing up blood as his eyes locked onto Ace on the execution platform. Without hesitation, steam erupted from his body as he activated Gear Second once more. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from where he stood, charging forward with reckless determination.

"Luffy…"

From atop the execution platform, Ace stared at him in shock and fear. Seeing his younger brother force himself onward in such a broken state made his chest tighten painfully.

"Shichibukai," Sengoku barked coldly, his gaze sweeping toward their position, "if you are going to act, now is the time."

"It seems we can't afford to slack off any longer," one of them muttered.

With differing intentions and unreadable expressions, the six Shichibukai finally entered the battlefield. Their involvement instantly increased the pressure on the Whitebeard Pirates, pushing the already brutal war closer to collapse.

At that very moment, an even greater crisis loomed from the horizon.

"What… what's happening?"

The ground trembled, and an overwhelming shadow seemed to descend over everyone's heads.

"What is that?"

"How is this even possible?"

"Did Whitebeard cause this?"

Marineford fell into an eerie silence as all eyes turned toward the distant horizon. Even Whitebeard himself frowned deeply, sensing something unnatural.

Crack.

A bolt of lightning split the sky, and the image shifted to the live broadcast watched by the entire world. Beneath the darkened heavens, monstrous waves surged forward. More than a dozen towering water tornadoes twisted violently, carrying oceans of seawater as they raced toward Marineford like a calamity meant to erase the world itself.

The sky looked as though it were collapsing. Faces across Marineford, and across the world, drained of all color as they stared at the incoming disaster.

Boom. Boom.

The sea roared like ten thousand galloping beasts. In the face of such raw natural fury, humanity felt pitifully small.

"Prepare yourselves," Sengoku said grimly. "The world's most dangerous man may have arrived."

The broadcast sent chills through viewers everywhere. The sheer scale of the tsunami was overwhelming. Any ordinary island would be crushed instantly, reduced to nothing more than debris. Perhaps only the Red Line could endure such destruction.

An icy chill spread across the battlefield.

Aokiji launched himself into the air, his body partially transformed into ice as he faced the monstrous waves alone. A freezing aura radiated from him as his frost-covered hands reached into the raging sea.

"Ice Age."

Crack. Crack.

A piercing sound echoed as the ocean froze at a visible speed. The towering water tornadoes halted mid-charge, solidifying into colossal ice formations that pierced the sky like frozen mountains.

"Marine Admiral Aokiji, the Ice-Ice Fruit user."

"No matter how many times I see this, I still can't believe it's real."

"All Marine Admirals are monsters."

"The sea… it's frozen again."

Boom, crackle.

Natural lightning flashed as an enormous mass of abnormal clouds gathered above the frozen sea, moving at incredible speed before stopping directly over Marineford. With a thunderous roar, the clouds dispersed like mist.

Figures emerged from the sky, accompanied by tens of thousands of troops.

"The Revolutionary Army."

Despite having anticipated this possibility, many Marines felt their hearts sink as the Revolutionary Army finally appeared.

"And in this way…"

"Wait, Dragon isn't here."

"Then who's leading them?"

The eyes of the world focused on the man at the front. He was young and handsome, with wavy blond hair, a top hat fitted with goggles, and a metal pipe resting against his back.

"That's Sabo."

"The Revolutionary Army's Chief of Staff."

"He's Fire Fist Ace's sworn brother, and Straw Hat Luffy's brother too."

"Even without Dragon, this is already a declaration of war."

"And look at who's standing beside him."

Those familiar with the Revolutionary Army's strength all wore grave expressions.

"To his left, that should be Belo Betty, commander of the East Army."

Beside Sabo stood a mature woman wearing a red top hat adorned with a long feather. Short purple hair framed her face, sunglasses concealed her eyes, and her red vest and long skirt fluttered in the wind. A cigarette rested between her lips as she gripped a massive flag.

Belo Betty, commander of the East Army and a Paramecia-type Encouragement Fruit user.

With her ability, she could awaken courage buried deep within people's hearts, igniting strength in the oppressed and fearless resolve in her allies. It was a terrifying support power, one capable of transforming an army into an unstoppable force.

"And that giant on the right?"

Standing beside Sabo was a massive man with a long beard and an enormous, hairy body. Wearing a short plaid skirt with a flower tattoo on his forearm, he looked crude and unsettling at first glance.

He was Mori, commander of the West Army, and a Devil Fruit user as well.

Behind them stood other well-known figures of the Revolutionary Army. Koala, Emporio Ivankov, Inazuma, and more.

"Ace. Luffy."

Sabo's gaze moved from Ace on the execution platform to Luffy, who continued to push himself forward despite his injuries. His grip tightened around the pipe in his hand.

"Sa… Sabo…"

Luffy came to a sudden stop, his battered face breaking into a disheveled but genuine smile.

"Fufufufu," Doflamingo chuckled from the Shichibukai camp, his fingers twitching as thin threads glimmered faintly. "I didn't expect the Revolutionary Army to interfere."

"Tch. What a waste of time."

Boa Hancock kicked away several Marines in irritation before landing atop her snake, Salome. She frowned as she surveyed the battlefield, clearly displeased. At this point, she had no connection to Luffy, nor any special feelings toward him.

Thump. Thump.

Drumbeats echoed as war horns sounded from the Revolutionary Army's ranks. An unknown ability transformed clouds into solid ground, allowing their soldiers to stand upon the sky itself, appearing like divine warriors descending from above.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

"Overthrow the World Government!"

"Save Fire Fist Ace!"

As the war horn blared, Belo Betty raised her flag high. A mysterious force swept across the battlefield, flooding the air.

Every Revolutionary soldier surged with energy, their morale exploding as their strength reached its peak. Fear vanished completely, replaced by fanatic resolve.

A terrifying pressure rolled across Marineford, causing many Marines to tremble. It felt as though a demon had locked onto their very souls.

Even the Whitebeard Pirates felt it. Warmth spread through their chests as their spirits soared. All despair vanished in an instant. At that moment, it felt as though nothing in the world could stop them.

Whitebeard stood quietly on the Moby Dick, his expression calm as he watched the Revolutionary Army arrive. Still, he released a faint sigh of relief.

With their involvement, fewer of his sons would have to die.

And perhaps now, there was a real chance to save Ace.
