"Yes, Master!" Gohan straightened instinctively.
"Do you want to protect your family… your friends…" Loren paused slightly.
"And Videl?"
"I—!"
Gohan's face instantly turned red.
Loren turned around and extended his hand toward Old Kai, who was still sulking nearby.
"Hand over the earrings."
"Huh?!" Old Kai blinked.
"Didn't you say you wouldn't fuse?!"
"I won't," Loren replied calmly.
He pointed behind him.
"They will."
Silence fell.
"Father-son fusion…?" Old Kai muttered in disbelief.
"There's never been a precedent for this!"
"Rules are meant to be broken," Loren said flatly.
Goku scratched his head, eyes shining.
"That actually sounds really strong!"
Gohan, meanwhile, was nervous, palms sweating.
Fusing with Dad…
Could he really do it?
"Hmph."
Vegeta let out a cold snort, arms crossed, looking away.
"Kakarot and his brat fusing…"
"Tch. Ridiculous."
"Enough," Loren said impatiently.
"Old man. Earrings."
"…Fine, fine."
Old Kai reluctantly removed the Potara Earrings.
"Left to right, right to left. Don't mess it up!"
Loren caught the earrings and tossed them to Goku.
"Catch."
Goku barely managed to grab them.
He handed one to Gohan, smiling warmly.
"Ready?"
"…Yes."
They faced each other.
Goku placed the earring on his left ear.
Gohan placed his on his right ear.
Buzz—!!!
A blinding white light erupted instantly!
A powerful force swept outward, forcing Krillin and Piccolo back.
"It's starting!" Krillin shouted.
Within the light, Goku and Gohan were pulled together as if by an invisible force.
Their bodies collided.
Merged.
The light slowly faded.
A new warrior floated in mid-air.
Taller than Goku.
More solid than Gohan.
He wore Goku's orange gi, but over it rested a blue sleeveless vest, reminiscent of Supreme Kai attire.
His face carried Gohan's features,
yet his eyes held Goku's clarity and Gohan's resolve.
The warrior opened his eyes.
He clenched his fists gently.
A vast, ocean-like power flowed through his body.
"…This strength," he murmured.
"It's incredible."
His voice overlapped—two voices as one.
Loren stroked his chin.
"Time for a name."
"Goku. Gohan."
"…Got it."
"From now on, your name is—Gokhan."
"Gokhan…"
The fused warrior nodded, smiling.
"Yes. I am Gokhan."
King Kai was shaking with excitement.
"This power—this power is unbelievable!"
"We can win! We can definitely defeat Majin Buu!"
"Don't celebrate yet," Loren said calmly.
He pointed at the crystal ball.
"Look at Earth."
Everyone turned.
Inside the crystal ball, Super Buu hovered above the planet, having lost patience after failing to sense Loren and the others.
His destruction had already begun.
