"Yeah! I'll catch up!"
"If there's a First Stage, then there must be a Second… and a Third, right?"
"Vegeta, one day, I'll reach an even higher realm than you—so don't let me surpass you too easily!"
Vegeta snorted.
"Hmph. Arrogant as ever."
"But that's exactly what suits you."
"You should be glad I'm not the old me. Otherwise, you wouldn't even have the chance to chase after my shadow."
"You'd already be dead."
With that, Vegeta withdrew his aura.
His Ki was internalized.
The Super Saiyan state dissipated.
He didn't spare Goku another glance.
Nor did he acknowledge Krillin, Gohan, or Nail.
Turning around, Vegeta walked back to Bulma and Hera, exchanged a few words with Bulma, and then entered the spaceship.

Hearing this, Krillin and Gohan finally relaxed.

Choosing Vegeta back then had been the right decision.
"I didn't expect you to return so soon," the Grand Elder said gently.
"With your current strength, even the enemy I foresaw would be no match for you."
Vegeta replied calmly, "I already know who you're referring to."
"So you summoned me… for him?"
The Grand Elder sighed.
"My lifespan is nearing its end. I may not live to see the Dragon Balls recover."
"My era is ending. Namek must face a new beginning, so I hoped you could—"
Vegeta chuckled lightly.
"You're not planning to ask me to guard Namek forever, are you?"
The Grand Elder smiled helplessly.
"Of course not. I only hope you can protect my people for a time."
"With your strength, crossing galaxies is effortless."
Vegeta shook his head.
"That's not the right path."
"Kakarot is already strong enough to handle future threats, and he'll stay here for a while."
"As for the future—why entrust it to outsiders instead of your own people?"
"This world is cruel. Relying on others leads only to extinction."
"Your era is ending. Accept it."
The Grand Elder was silent.
Then he smiled peacefully.
"You're right."
"The future belongs to the children."
"I have done what I should do."
"Thank you… for the reminder."
Vegeta turned toward the window, gazing at the vast world beyond.
A new era had begun.
And Super Saiyan—
Was only the first step.
