"Dende, this place is about to become a battlefield. While you still can, hurry back to the Grand Elder's place—it'll be safer there," Nail said in a deep voice.
"Let Bulma go too," Krillin added after a moment's thought.
"If something really goes wrong, she can take the Grand Elder and the sealed Dragon Ball and leave Namek immediately. That way, at least there's still hope."
"But…" Dende hesitated, clearly torn, then instinctively looked at Gohan.
He wanted to stay and help, but he also knew he didn't have the strength. Staying would only make him a burden.
"Let's go, Dende," Gohan said seriously. "We'll go get Aunt Bulma together."
Krillin and Nail exchanged glances and followed as the two headed toward the spaceship.
Inside the ship, Bulma was still deeply focused on her research when they explained the situation.
The moment she understood what was happening, her expression changed completely.
At such a critical moment, both Vegeta and Goku were still training instead of responding immediately.
The anger boiled up inside her, and without hesitation, she rushed out and shouted toward Vegeta's direction.
"You Know the enemy is coming, and you're still sitting there training?! You're doing this on purpose, aren't you, Vegeta?! Wake up already!"
Her voice echoed across the island.
Krillin, Gohan, Nail, and Dende all felt a chill run down their spines.
But this was Bulma—direct, sharp, and fearless.
In moments like these, her words often had miraculous effects.
Sure enough, Vegeta's aura subtly shifted.
Before anyone could react further, a deep, calm voice rang out.
"So noisy. King Cold won't arrive for another half hour. What are you all panicking for?"
Everyone froze.
Vegeta was already standing beside the spaceship.
No one had sensed him move.
His aura was completely restrained.
Watching him approach step by step made the others feel strangely awkward—like the main character wasn't even worried, while they were the ones panicking.
"Hmph! And who told you not to wake up?" Bulma snapped.
"Two days have passed! For you it's half an hour, but for us it's the last chance to escape!"
Despite being lectured, Vegeta didn't get angry.
He stepped forward and stopped directly in front of her.
Bulma stiffened under his gaze.
"W-What are you doing?"
"Oh? You weren't afraid I'd kill you when you were yelling at me just now," Vegeta said coldly. "But now you're scared?"
"I—I was just worried, not blaming you—"
Before she could finish, Vegeta grabbed her wrist.
"As punishment for shouting at me, you're not leaving my side for a while," he said flatly. "Now tell me—how's the gravity device modification?"
Without waiting for an answer, he pulled her toward the spaceship.
Bulma struggled, but it was useless.
Krillin, Gohan, Nail, and Dende could only stand there, stunned.
"…It'll be fine, right?" Krillin muttered weakly.
"It will," Gohan said quietly. "Vegeta treats Aunt Bulma differently."
Krillin's eyes widened.
"Wait… you don't think Vegeta actually—"
"I don't know," Gohan said honestly. "It just feels different."
Nail ignored the topic entirely.
"As long as Vegeta is awake, King Cold won't be a problem," he said firmly.
The others nodded.
In the end, Dende stayed behind, while Krillin, Gohan, and Nail headed back toward the Grand Elder's residence—to wake Goku.
Inside the Spaceship
"You're hurting me…"
Bulma's voice carried a subtle tremor.
Vegeta loosened his grip slightly—then pinned her against the wall.
Their eyes met at close range.
Bulma's heart raced violently, her cheeks burning.
She tried to push him away, but it was pointless.
"D-Don't do anything reckless…"
Vegeta smirked and gently lifted her chin.
Just as Bulma unconsciously closed her eyes, Vegeta leaned close to her ear, exhaled softly—
Then pulled back and laughed.
Bulma snapped her eyes open, furious.
"Hey! Is teasing me that fun?!"
She lunged forward and bit his arm.
A second later, she cried out instead.
"Why is it like biting a rock?! That hurts!"
Vegeta laughed and wrapped an arm around her again.
"In such a hurry to become my woman?" he said calmly. "Now isn't the time. Half an hour isn't nearly enough."
"I'm NOT that kind of woman!" Bulma protested.
Vegeta ignored her and changed the topic.
"After King Cold is dealt with, I'll take you to Planet Frieza No. 79. All its resources are intact. You'll have full authority to use them."
Bulma froze.
"A whole planet… you planned this from the beginning?"
"Of course," Vegeta said coldly. "One planet is just an appetizer. The universe belongs to the strong."
Bulma was completely stunned.
Without realizing it, her world had already changed.
At the Grand Elder's Residence
Goku finally opened his eyes.
He had sensed King Cold's arrival long ago.
Two days of training had allowed him to completely stabilize his power and absorb Vegeta's battle memories.
But one problem remained.
"I still don't understand how to become a Super Saiyan…" Goku muttered. "Forcing ki alone isn't enough."
At that moment—
"Dad!!"
"Goku!!"
Gohan and Krillin landed beside him.
"You're awake—good timing," Krillin said. "King Cold is almost here."
"I know," Goku nodded.
After greeting Nail, Goku sensed something and looked surprised.
"Your strength increased a lot."
Krillin grinned proudly.
"We trained under 100× gravity for two days."
"What?!" Goku stared. "It took me four days!"
"That's your loss," Krillin laughed.
Finally, Nail spoke seriously.
"With your current strength… can you handle King Cold?"
Goku smiled calmly.
"I'll know after we fight."
Then he added confidently.
"But even if I can't… Vegeta can. I've seen his Super Saiyan power. It's far beyond this."
Nail clenched his fists.
He knew it was true.
He just wished—deep down—that this time, Vegeta wouldn't be the only one carrying everything alone.
