"It worked, hmph! No matter how many tricks he had, after taking so many of our attacks, he's definitely dead this time," Jeice said first, finally stopping the barrage of red and blue energy blasts.
"Yeah. Good thing you stepped in at the right moment," Burter added, wiping the sweat from his face as his scouter showed no readings at all.
"Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have been able to take him down by myself."
Winning so smoothly instantly washed away the pressure that had been weighing on him.
"Still, something felt off," Jeice muttered.
"His power level was only 25,000, yet his speed was ridiculous. Even we couldn't keep up. If we'd given him another chance, he probably would've toyed with us again."
"This time, the real credit goes to Guldo," Burter said, nodding toward him.
"Well done! Without your intervention, we wouldn't have gotten such a perfect opening."
The Paralysis Technique had been used at exactly the right moment.
Hearing the praise, Guldo puffed up with pride, but still didn't dare take all the credit.
"It was thanks to Captain Ginyu. If he hadn't reminded me, I wouldn't have reacted in time."
The three of them chatted back and forth, congratulating one another—completely oblivious to the fact that Goku was perfectly fine.
Relying too heavily on scouters to judge life and death had dulled their instincts.
At that moment, Goku was already standing in the air above Jeice and Burter, looking down at them calmly.
His aura was completely restrained, without the slightest fluctuation, so naturally the scouters detected nothing.
"Hey! Vegeta! You're going to keep your word, right?" Burter shouted confidently. "We won!"
Hearing that, Vegeta couldn't help but sneer. "How foolish. You don't seriously think you've killed Kakarot, do you?"
"What?!" Burter froze.
Jeice's expression changed as well, and the two of them instinctively looked toward the site of the explosion.
"Idiots! Above your heads!" Ginyu suddenly shouted, finally sensing Goku's presence.
But it was already too late.
Goku had given them plenty of time to notice—but they hadn't realized a thing.
By the time Jeice and Burter panicked and looked up, Goku had already appeared right between them.
Under their disbelieving gazes, Goku casually threw a punch—then followed it with a kick.
Both were sent flying instantly.
An attack bursting with over 100,000 battle power—just a single hit—was enough to shatter their defenses.
Jeice and Burter weren't dead, but they were critically injured, completely unable to continue fighting.
They crashed to the ground, coughing up blood and clutching their stomachs in agony.
Everyone except Vegeta was stunned.
This alone proved that Goku's true strength was far beyond the 25,000 displayed on the scouter.
At that moment, the most terrified one was Guldo.
Earlier, he had secretly used his Paralysis Technique to restrain Goku. Now, Goku's gaze slowly fell on him.
The moment their eyes met, Guldo's cowardly nature was fully exposed.
"You're kind of interesting," Goku said calmly. "You remind me of Chiaotzu."
That strange feeling of being restrained really was similar to Chiaotzu's psychic abilities.
Guldo had no idea who Chiaotzu was, but fear overtook him, and he began retreating step by step.
After all, he was just an ant with a power level of 10,000, with almost no real combat ability.
Seeing this, Goku quickly lost interest and shifted his gaze toward Ginyu instead.
Only this opponent seemed worth paying attention to.
At least he could serve as a warm-up.
"I'll give you a piece of advice," Vegeta said coldly to Goku. "Finish them off. Otherwise, when they cause trouble later, don't say I didn't warn you."
Goku had defeated them—but he hadn't killed them.
They were already mortal enemies. Leaving them alive meant risking a knife in the back.
In the original timeline, Goku had suffered more than once because of this soft-heartedness.
"Forget it," Goku said, shaking his head.
"Their auras are evil, sure, but they didn't kill anyone in front of me. Maybe after this, they'll turn over a new leaf."
Hearing that, Vegeta could only shake his head in silence.
Do you think everyone is like me?
Vegeta didn't argue further. Instead, his gaze shifted toward Krillin and Gohan.
The meaning in his eyes was clear.
Kakarot won't do it—so you two should.
After witnessing everything, Vegeta felt that Krillin and Gohan needed to understand how dangerous mercy could be.
Gohan hesitated slightly, but Krillin nodded firmly at him.
When it came to dealing with enemies, they were completely in sync. Krillin knew better than anyone that Goku's soft heart had led to countless disasters.
Goku hadn't expected this outcome, but once Krillin made his move, there was nothing he could say.
After all, these people really had intended to kill Krillin and Gohan earlier.
"There's still one more you shouldn't let go," Vegeta added calmly.
"Guldo's ability can restrain others—and even stop time. He's the most dangerous and the easiest to ambush with."
Hearing this, no one underestimated Guldo any longer.
The ability to stop time was an absolute trump card.
By now, Guldo's mind had completely collapsed. He cursed Vegeta's cruelty in his heart while continuing to retreat in panic.
He had thought he'd be spared—but now death was right in front of him again.
Even Krillin and Gohan chasing him was something he couldn't withstand.
They were warriors with 40,000 battle power—on an entirely different level.
Guldo never would have imagined that, in the original timeline, he had nearly killed both of them.
Desperate, Guldo used his time-stopping ability to try to escape.
But the technique had limits—both in range and duration.
In the end, Guldo was decapitated by Krillin's Destructo Disc.
His death mirrored the original story—except this time, Vegeta wasn't the one who delivered the finishing blow.
With Guldo dead, only Captain Ginyu remained of the Ginyu Force.
He still hadn't moved.
He was waiting—calculating—searching for the perfect opportunity to turn the situation around.
Before, he had planned to exchange bodies with Vegeta.
Now, he had a better idea.
Vegeta was far too sharp.
So first, he would test the strength of the man in front of him.
If Goku was strong enough, Ginyu could put on an act, find the right moment to Body Change, then kill his original body and let its soul perish.
After that…
He would look for a chance to take Vegeta's body next.
