Times were changing, and Zylus now had to adjust to this newly perceived self. He wasn't the 'wannabe good guy' as everyone recognized him as, no, not at all. People across the Demon Realm now saw him as an evil hypocrite, which, in their eyes, he was, wholeheartedly.
His heart's painful pounding got worse; it felt as though he was being blocked by simply trying to utter something meaningful.
Click! Frey unlocked the door from the inside, pushing it out wide.
She began walking out, but then left Zylus with one more message.
"No worries, Zylus," Frey announced before coming to a halt, "But thank you for showing me who you truly are. I thought you were someone we could rely on, someone good. It turns out you're just like the rest of them: earn strength, then do whatever it is in your power to belittle others. You will never be a good guy."
