"We got no money from when our parents died; they left it all to our cousins. We had no family who took us in, because apparently we were a bad luck charm; there was nothing, absolutely nothing, that could've saved us."
Zylus didn't add on to anything; he just witnessed Frey's ramblings and spit fly across the room while his intrigue grew.
"I understand, keep going…"
"Soon, he decided it would be best if we just started robbing everyone, killing others if it didn't benefit us, and all of that nonsense."
Frey exhaled, then continued, "Without second thought," she stared at Zylus directly, "I agreed, without a second thought."
She thought about her actions for a second, then continued, "I mean, was I wrong?! If others abandon us, why would it be wrong for us to abandon them?!"
Her question lingered in Zylus's head for longer than he would expect, but no answer came out.
