Ganyu had some medicinal ointment with her and immediately took it out to treat Lu Lin.
Her white, delicate hands moved gently over his chest, soft palms rubbing in the ointment. A faint, clean fragrance drifted to his nose, and the cool, smooth sensation of her touch made Lu Lin inwardly sigh with bliss.
Ganyu's face was so red it looked like it might drip. This was her first time being this close to a boy's body. She was both shy and—just a tiny bit—curious.

After a bit of flustered fussing, the medicine was finally applied.
"My name is Lu Lin, a traveler passing through Liyue. Thank you for treating my injuries. How should I address you?"
"I'm Ganyu, secretary of Yuehai Pavilion. I should be the one thanking you. If not for you taking down those Hilichurls…" she said earnestly.
"Um, my clothes are basically ruined. Ganyu-jie, do you know where I can buy some new ones?" Lu Lin had ripped his clothes to be convincing; he really did need replacements now.
"That's easy. Come with me."
They weren't far from Liyue Harbor. The two chatted as they walked, quickly reaching the city and arriving at the Feiyun Commerce Guild.
Feiyun Commerce Guild was a giant in Liyue's silk and textile trade, and also ran a storefront selling ready-made clothes.
"Good afternoon, Miss Ganyu. What brings you here today?" A refined-looking youth stood at the entrance, reading a book with obvious interest. When he saw Ganyu, he smiled in greeting.
"Good afternoon, Xingqiu. My friend ran into Hilichurls on Mt. Tianheng and had his clothes torn. We're here to buy him a few sets."
"This gentleman, then? Please, come in!" Xingqiu looked Lu Lin over. Even in his tattered clothes, he couldn't hide his air of poise. Xingqiu enthusiastically invited them inside.
"You actually ran into Hilichurls on Mt. Tianheng?" After seating them, Xingqiu clearly took that matter to heart.
"That's right. Do you know anything about it?" Ganyu asked. She already sensed this wasn't simple.
Mt. Tianheng was right next to Yujing Terrace. Under normal circumstances, Hilichurls would never show up here. That was one reason she dared nap on the mountain—it was relatively safe.
But today of all days, Hilichurls had appeared. Something strange was definitely going on.
"I don't have solid clues, but yesterday several Feiyun caravans passing through Guili Plains were also attacked by Hilichurls. Monster activity has been unusually aggressive lately."
"It really has been odd. I'll report this to Yujing Terrace and ask them to send more people to investigate," Ganyu said.
"That's best. We'll also add extra guards to our caravans. If anything comes up, we should share information."
After talking a bit about the Hilichurl problem, a clerk brought out more than a dozen outfits.
"These are all classic styles in our shop. Mr. Lu can take his time choosing," Xingqiu introduced.
"Uh… I'm not great at picking clothes. Just grab me two sets at random," Lu Lin said, a little embarrassed.
"I'll choose for you," Ganyu offered immediately, stepping forward. With her long lifespan and broad experience, her eye for clothing was sharp.
After some careful selection, Ganyu settled on a black formal robe.
"Try this one first." She took the outfit from the clerk, hesitated a moment, then added softly, "It's a bit complicated to put on… I'll help you change."
"…Huh?" For a moment, Lu Lin thought he'd misheard.
Ganyu was volunteering to help him change clothes? Could something this good really happen?
As soon as the words left her lips, Ganyu turned her head away, cheeks burning.
She didn't know what had possessed her to say that. But he'd gotten injured saving her and ruined his clothes—helping him was only right… right?
Seeing Lu Lin still stunned, she simply grabbed his hand and marched him straight into the fitting room.
"P-please… take off your clothes," Ganyu whispered, barely audible.
"T-this isn't really necessary… I can do it myself," Lu Lin swallowed.
He did want to get closer to her, but this was moving faster than he'd expected.
"It's fine. Just take off your upper clothes," Ganyu insisted, face crimson.
Lu Lin wasn't the type to dither. Since she insisted, he didn't argue, quickly shrugging off his shredded shirt.
His toned chest and eight-pack were once again on full display. Ganyu forced herself not to keep sneaking glances.
Lu Lin noticed her quick, furtive looks and had to suppress a laugh, but he didn't call her out. Instead, he asked quietly, "So, what should I do?"
"This robe uses traditional Liyue craftsmanship. The way you wear it is a little complicated. I'll help you this time and teach you as we go. You have to remember it carefully," Ganyu said as she lifted the inner layer and slid it onto him.
Sometimes she circled behind his neck, sometimes around his waist. Her hands kept moving, and she calmly explained the details while she worked. Her motions were gentle, her voice soft—like a virtuous wife helping her husband straighten his clothes.
They were pressed close together. The faint fragrance of the girl around him made Lu Lin's heart pound wildly, his mind starting to wander.
Ganyu was in no better shape. This was the first time she'd ever been so close to a man. His presence was warm and comforting; she couldn't help wanting to stay close.
Her heart slowly sank deeper and deeper, and she even had the sudden urge to lean into his chest. She tensed up, fighting the impulse with all her strength to avoid losing control.
When she finally fastened the last button, the taut strings inside her relaxed. But her legs nearly gave out beneath her.
She swayed, about to fall, when Lu Lin grabbed her around the waist on instinct.
"Careful. Watch your step."
That single embrace was like a spark falling into a dry haystack.
Ganyu had already been overwhelmed with feelings she was trying hard to suppress. Now, like a breached dam, those emotions flooded out and drowned her.
Almost without thinking, she wrapped her arms around his waist, burying herself in his arms.
His warmth surrounded her completely, filling her with a deep, unspeakable peace.
Lu Lin's thoughts were even more turbulent than hers. He was a die-hard Ganyu fan. When the person you liked was clinging to you like a shy little wife, personally helping you change and murmuring softly—how could anyone not be moved?
Her slender, curvy body pressed tightly against him. Even through layers of cloth, he could feel just how astonishingly soft she was. He encircled her slim waist and held her close, unwilling to let go.
Neither of them spoke. They simply basked in the quiet, warm atmosphere. The air between them grew heavier, richer with unspoken things.
Lu Lin used all his willpower not to push things any further. They'd only just met; if he rushed, he might repel her and lose more than he gained.
He didn't know how long they stood like that. Eventually, Ganyu, in a daze, recovered a bit of clarity.
She slipped from his arms, face burning. "Your clothes are changed. I'll wait outside…"
Then, like a frightened rabbit, she fled the fitting room.
