With his arms hugging his daughter, and his alpha's arms wrapped around his waist, Eugene slept undisturbed throughout the night. Arthur enveloped him and their daughter with his soft, soothing pheromone. Although Eugene couldn't sense it, the warmth and the familiar scent of soap and fabric softener surrounded him like a nest, and that was how he woke up in the morning.
Perhaps he was more exhausted than he thought, because he opened his eyes to Hannah already woken up, staring at his face while stroking his cheek and playing with his fringe.
A smile automatically bloomed on his lips as the girl giggled. "Good morning, Papa."
Eugene chuckled and pulled his daughter to his embrace, returning her giggle with a nuzzle against her messy, fluffy hair. "You didn't smack my cheek this time?"
"Hannah is a big girl now," the 'big' girl puffed her cheeks after answering.
