Chapter 78 - Chapter Seventy-Seven: A Change of Era (Please read on!)

The elite Kaili people who captured the Command took all the Yamri people prisoner, forcing them to order everyone to surrender now, stating that the war should end.

Following the Kaili people's command, the highest Commander on the ground issued the surrender order, then collapsed dejectedly.

Hearing this order, most of the Yamri people also breathed a sigh of relief, as no one knew who would die if the fighting continued.

However, the Kaili people led by Hilar captured all the Yamri people and systematically exterminated them, leaving no one alive. In an instant, two hundred thousand defeated Yam'ri remnants were massacred.

The elite Kaili people who heard this news were completely stunned. They had already prepared to negotiate peace with the Yamri people, even inviting Captain Cassius. How could peace talks proceed now!

But Hilar's message arrived: "You traitors, the Yamri people are our lifelong enemies! Not only the Yamri people on Kalee, but Yamri people in other places must also be exterminated!"

Seeing Hilar's message, the elite Kaili people were completely unable to accept it. Massacring prisoners, and even wanting to continue slaughtering Yam'ri civilians and innocents on other planets, what was the difference between this and the Yamri people who invaded them!

Hilar's forces had already taken the Yamri people's starships and equipment for their own use, while Captain Cassius on the indomitable was ashen-faced. He was completely finished, but he evidently didn't know that something even bigger was coming. Vulture Droidss modified by the Kaili people began attacking the indomitable, which was docked in orbit, announcing the arrival of the Kaili people.

Hilar led his people directly onto the indomitable, occupying the entire ship, preparing to attack other Yam'ri colonies.

Captain Cassius's head was personally cut off by Hilar and kept as a trophy.

The three people still in Kalee City heard news they simply couldn't believe.

"Are you saying Hilar massacred two hundred thousand prisoners, then led his people to board the indomitable, and now intends to attack other Yam'ri colonies?!" Kote God was baffled. Hadn't they just won a few days ago? How did it turn into a direct counterattack? He knew that Hilar was not to be trifled with.

"Report to the Republic, this is no longer something we can manage," Kote God thought for a moment. Managing blindly again would only cause more trouble for him, so he decided to let those who sought death die.

After all, everyone has their own fate. Repeated deceit during peace talks proved that he truly wanted to know what the Republic's iron fist felt like. If not for this incident, with the mediation of the three of them, the Kaili people could have received more compensation. But for those who lacked self-awareness and were blindly confident, there was only destruction, and they might even implicate other Kaili people.

On Hooke, His Majesty Conqueror III repeatedly tried to contact Captain Cassius without success, and attempts to contact ground Command also met with no response.

"Someone, go check on the peace talks with Kalee and report back to me at all times," His Majesty Conqueror III was somewhat worried, as the Kaili people had attacked during peace talks last time.

"Yes, Your Majesty," the Minister of Military Affairs accepted the order and dispatched ships to Kalee to investigate.

But to everyone's surprise, the Kaili people used the indomitable's star chart to find a nearby Yam'ri colony and headed directly there, preparing to invade Towarskell, which was a Yam'ri colony.

The people on Towarskell had no idea what danger would befall them in thirty minutes; at this moment, they were still very leisurely.

Thirty minutes later, Towarskell's detection System detected the indomitable exiting hyperspace. When asked why it was there, the only response was merciless gunfire and slaughter.

On the ground, the Kaili people's army had already arrived. Most of the towns on Towarskell had been destroyed. Now was their time for revenge, and the weapons in their hands were the declaration of Death.

"All Hooke are evil; they are accomplices in the slaughter of our compatriots!"

"Leave no one alive; Hooke children are also evil!"

Hilar and his subordinates were now completely insane. Any species that wasn't Kaili would be slaughtered by them; no one was spared.

The entire Towarskell was devastated, but news of the Kaili people's attack had already been transmitted to His Majesty Conqueror III on Hooke.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will immediately report to the Republic and dispatch troops for defense."

"Yes, Your Majesty," the Minister of Foreign Affairs accepted the order and immediately began contacting representatives in the Republic.

"But Your Majesty, we no longer have more weapons and equipment; everything was confiscated on Kalee. Now we only have some garrisons left!" said the Minister of Military Affairs.

"Then send them all out! Intercept them and hold them off until the Republic sends troops!" His Majesty Conqueror III shouted at the minister below.

Meanwhile, Kote God had already reported the matter.

"An emergency meeting will be held tomorrow to vote on sanctioning both races. There's no way to salvage the situation now," Chancellor Valorum said with a headache. He couldn't understand what the Kaili people were thinking. They could have perfectly received more resource compensation, but now they would only find themselves in a more passive, even culpable, position.

"Alright, Chancellor, thank you for your trouble." Kote God was also weary. He hadn't expected his first diplomatic mission to turn out this way. He might as well return the senator's seat to his Cousin soon; this simply wasn't for him.

"Kote God, after Hilar left, we have now controlled the entire Kalee City. What should we do with the Khans below?" an elite Kaili said.

After Hilar recklessly took his people into space, only three Khans remained. But under the threat of the remaining ten thousand elite Kaili and the Kaili people, they chose to submit.

"Continue as usual. When Hilar is brought back by the Republic army, let the Kaili people decide," Kote God was also troubled. After all, he was an outsider, and now the Kaili people he had trained had occupied Kalee City. Even in the Kaili Pantheon, his statue was in the very center. At this point, calling him an honorary Kaili wasn't far off; he had even vaguely become the King of the Kaili people.

"As you wish, Kote God," the elite Kaili returned to the temple. Now Kalee had become a System of divine right, meaning the most intelligent, capable, and devout followers of Kote God among those who believed in him would be elected as the Great Khan of Kalee.

"Another identity. Now all of Kalee bows to you as King. That's a clever move," Obi-Wan said, looking at Kote God beside him.

"I swear I didn't do it on purpose, do you believe me?" Kote God genuinely only wanted to help the Kaili people get justice this time, and perhaps win some favor along the way, but he hadn't expected the situation on Kalee to be so abstract.

"If all of this was planned by you step by step, then it's truly a master scheme," Obi-Wan said with a smile.

Meanwhile, Hilar's forces, still plundering and slaughtering on Towarskell, knew nothing. Judgment was about to descend, and there was no place for them on Kalee.

At the Republic Senate,

"I agree to the judgment of both races!" Governor Gunray was the first to stand up and apply. Hearing his words, a group of senators led by Gunray also stood up in agreement.

The number of peace advocates was far less than Gunray's faction. Coupled with some who believed both sides were at fault and must be punished, the motion to sanction Kalee and Hooke was ultimately passed with seven hundred twenty-three votes. A Jedi task force and paramilitary forces were dispatched to implement this judgment.
