Everything shattered after three weeks into the trial.
It started with Nyx laughing at something Umbra said, her hand reached out to touch his arm unconsciously. But jealousy suddenly hit Razeil like a physical blow.
"I need to leave." Raziel said abruptly, standing.
"What…" Nyx said, but through the bond she felt the overwhelming jealousy that he'd been processing for weeks.
Raziel left the room without another word.
"Go after him. This session is over." Umbra said.
Nyx found Raziel in their chambers.
"I can't do this." Raziel said, the moment she entered. "I thought processing jealousy would get easier but it's getting worse."

"And watch you go back to suppressing feelings?" Raziel laugh sadly. "You're falling in love with him."
"I don't know if it's love…"
"It's love. It's different from what you feel for me, but it's real." He sat on the bed. "And I'm happy that you're not suppressing your feelings anymore. But I'm also dying inside watching it happen.
