PRESENT DAY - MANOR SURVIVORS CAMP
"That's what I was thinking about Mini" Magnetica says with a warm smile at the small man.
"So did they end up calling backup on the mission?" Mini replies with his own warm smile.
"They ended up being the backup. Shadowmancer was already there."
"So there was 4 immortals at a gang war?"
"Yeah overkill much"
The two laugh happily before doctor appears from their tent.
"Steve i-i-is loaded! He got a f-f-f-full body transition!" Doctor stutters with a large smile.
"Then maybe we can bribe our hunter." Magnetica says looking up at a tree.
"So you knew I was here then?" A deep voice comes from the tree.
"I don't give grown men bedtime stories. Now get down here and explain." Magnetica replies with a serious tone as he stands to meet the large muscular man branded with scars.
The two stare in silence as the rest of the manor survivors emerge from their tents with the exception of Steve who slips into a full body protective armour and hides in the back. The group all stands against the unknown man with Kitsune showing her nine glowing red tails and Mini sprouting wings with a hexagonal pattern which is mirrored in his eyes.
"Oh a kitsune. Are you a Zenko or Yako?" The man asks with a psychotic smile spreading across his face.
"Depends if you're here to harm us or not" Kitsune replies with a smirk of her own as flames spawn atop her palm.
"Lets see. Currently I'm in control thanks to a hunt of zombies. But who knows if you can trust a serial killer." The man says as his smirk widens.
"You're Ripper aren't you?" Magnetica speaks up with a smirk equally as wide.
"My fame procede's me, Magnetica." Ripper replies as he extends a hand to shake.
"You were my bosses latest fixation before this started so I learnt a lot about you, including how to beat you with a group like this." Magnetica shakes his hand without hesitation "Although we both know you're under control and will help us as long as we let you kill zombies, am I right?"
"You read me like a book mr magnet... when do I join the team then?" He says as his smile turns friendlier.
"When we trust you fully so prove yourself and we'll let our guard down. Until then you're our prisoner and will be my bosses test subject when we reach them."
"Deal"
"You'll be under Kitsune and Mini as a prisoner so watch it Ripper. They will be briefed on your weak points and how to subdue you."
With that Ripper has joined the Manor survivors and they've met peace but not for long as a the teams radio starts to static. After some changes to the frequency by Magnetica and Mini a voice comes through.
"To anyone still surviving, Cannibals have destroyed Immortals HQ and we've suffered great losses but we number around 75 and are moving towards the Sanctuary. So if you're moving to the super city area head to the Sanctuary and avoid the eastern and southern areas of the city at all costs unless you wish to die from Björn or Cannibals. This is Robotica of the Immortals we will be radio silent for an indefinite amount of time so if we don't make it live on heroes and save this world that was." The voice crackles through before disappearing.
Silence returned but this time it wasn't the same as a minute ago. There was incredible tension of rage and hope in the group. Vetran speaks up in a calm methodical voice "We'll be going to the Sanctuary then. That's final so no complaints. We will reach the cured country one way or another."
No one goes against the judgement and starts to pack up and leave.
Once back on the road they go through forest for hours. The untouched healing trees having grown to full strength in the 6 months since the apocalypse started. They were going through the forest with Magnetica's hands held infront of him calmly. Ripper was stood in between Kitsune who has conjured a ring of fire around him and Mini who has grown in size and gained a sleek black exoskeleton. Steve was practically being carried by Doctor with how close he clung to the mad man. Badaboom was scanning the immediate area with Vetran helping him. Everyone had a role. Everyone had to help. Everyone was waiting for the inevitable storm when they reached the city. Magnetica drops his hands causing everyone to speed up now he dropped his field of repulsion. The downside being now zombies can get to them.
In the distance a large decaying skyscraper is seen having broken in two over time no doubt due to heroes battling the zombies near the start of the infection. No doubt they failed but now is a different story as the group arrives at the edges of the city and prepares for battle as a hoard has already gathered to try and beat them.
