Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Life is about creating miracles.

"God?"

Looking at the text displayed on the screen, and the image of the knowledge worm crawling on the ground, Vivian suddenly had a strange feeling, as if she really was the supreme creator!

Sigh.

I'm playing a game.

Vivian patted her cheeks, self-deprecating.

"The only reason I feel this way about this game is because, despite its pixel art style, the presentation is so good that it makes me feel like a chuunibyou (someone with delusions of grandeur)."

Just looking into the eyes of the Knowledge Insect, she felt a sense of wonder that almost filled the screen.

Despite its self-deprecating humor, Vivian felt much lighter and almost forgot her experience in the bathroom.

"Next..."

She saw the knowledge worm still crawling on the ground, but the contents of the text box above its head had changed.

[God, please...please...eat me...name Zi]

The intelligent worm with its large tongue lifted its eyes, nervously staring at the dim sky, and a new prompt appeared on the screen.

Should we name the wisdom insect?

The nursery rhyme immediately became clear.

The Seed of Wisdom is an item used to select characters in the game, while Name-Giving is used to name characters in the game. It seemed she had found the right way to play this game!

"Naming a child? But I'm terrible at naming."

Nursery rhymes were a source of distress.

He usually used the name "Watermelon Peel" when playing games, but it was a bit too ridiculous to name the world's first intelligent life form "Watermelon Peel."

Wouldn't this make him, as "God," seem incompetent?

His gaze fell on the Intellect Worm's clear, glassy eyes.

"Then, I'll give you your real name—"

[Sarah Kerrigan]

Slender fingers typed a text on the phone.

This simple operation had brought about a remarkable change.

The named Intellect Worm immediately stood up.

With a [(ノ'▽`)ノ?] emoticon in his head, he danced happily, his body much more flexible than before.

[Glass, Glass, Glass]

For a child who had learned to dance, Sarah's dancing skills were unmatched.

But seeing how happy she was like a child, Nursery Rhyme's mood improved.

Who doesn't love this simple joy?

But often, we can't find that kind of innocence anymore.

Vivian never imagined that, despite her illness, she would rediscover the joy of playing Tamagotchi as a child while confined to a wheelchair.

There was another area that deserved her attention now.

After giving the wisdom worm a real name, she noticed a change in energy in the upper left corner of the screen.

0→1/1

[Energy: 1/1 (Energy limit increases by 1 for each additional anchor point; current energy recovery rate is 1/day)]

With energy, one can perform miracles.

[Wind] [Rain] [Lightning] [Sunlight]...

The nursery rhyme was overwhelmed by the sheer number of icons; even the wind option had many different levels.

The weakest wind only required 1 energy point, while the planet's eye, which could destroy civilization, required four!

Is this God?

Although he couldn't control the characters in the game, he could grant them power through blessings and influence the world through miracles. The unlocked [Creation] effect might be even more powerful.

Nursery Rhyme became excited.

He longed to see what Sarah Kerrigan would look like when she grew up.

So he stared intently at the screen.

After the dance ended, Sarah continued her journey, moving across the yellowish-brown land in search of habitats with food.

It was a difficult journey.

The yellowish-brown region was so vast that other creatures were rarely seen. Even the intelligent Sarah suffered greatly here, sometimes having to traverse mountains and rivers on an empty stomach.

So much so, that you could sometimes see phrases like "Hungry (T▽T)" in nursery rhymes.

"The beginning of a business is always so difficult."

A dozen minutes later, Sarah finally passed through the yellowish-brown region and arrived at a place with water and plants.

But what awaited her was not a hopeful future, but a swarm of aggressive insects.

These insects were deeply displeased with the glass's attempt at goodwill and were determined to tear her to pieces.

[Buzzing sound]

[Kill! Kill! Kill!]

Although they lacked brains, they still displayed strong biological instincts.

The shaking screen vividly illustrated Sarah's predicament.

Despite having increased tenfold in size, Sarah was still beaten and forced to run everywhere. Her fledgling intelligence was no match for the ferocious pack.

"Hey, hey, hey, is this really how the game ends?"

Vivian was a little nervous when she first encountered this situation. She saw a new speech bubble appear on the glass head that was rolling down the slope like a ball.

God, please save Sarah!

[Eight...Eight lines, God made Sarah think, Eight can ask God for anything]

After waking up, dazed and confused, she continued to run away.

Nursery Rhyme couldn't help but smile.

The characters in this game were quite considerate of her; they knew not to bother her with anything. This kind of emotional feedback was much better than NPCs who asked her to do things but were mean and didn't give her any rewards.

After all, this was the first intelligent life she had created; how could she abandon it?

"I did it! Let's try this [Wind] feature!"

As Sarah hid in a small hole, a strong wind immediately swept through the game, reducing her ability from 1 to 0.

The insects that were flapping their wings and chasing her were blown this way and that, some even breaking their wings.

The wind came quickly and went just as quickly.

When Sarah cautiously crawled out, the encirclement surrounding her had completely shattered.

It seemed to understand something, then began flapping its wings and chirping.

[God]

[Glass God]

[To repay...God...to repay...]

Vivian just laughed at Sarah's words.

Repay?

There was no way she could quit the game, right? Stay alive.

She continued to stare at the screen, watching Sarah build her nest, hunt, evolve, and even begin asexual reproduction in this green space.

Vivian was stunned when she saw a small insect separate from Sarah's body.

"Is that possible? Won't that give rise to a great race?"

She remembered the text at the beginning of the game. Could this be the beginning of the Zerg civilization?

But soon the nursery rhyme discovered something even more shocking.

Her eyes were abnormal; normally, if she stared at one point for a few minutes, everything in her field of vision would become distorted. But this time, she stared at her phone for over an hour without any problems.

"Are you feeling better?"

Vivian stared at the potted plant in the room. As she observed, she noticed the entire room beginning to distort, like torn lines. Her mind went blank, and she felt dizzy and nauseous.

NO.

She immediately lowered her head.

Her illness still hadn't improved; perhaps the only time she hadn't relapsed was when she was playing God Simulator.

Nursery Rhyme's gaze returned to the game.

She found a small dog-sized creature, Sarah, directing a swarm of insects covered in thick shells to chisel, move, and carve large stones.

What were they doing? Building a house? Working on an engineering project?

When a dialog box appeared above Sarah's head, Vivian understood.

[Temple!]

A temple built for the great God!

Oh my, the tribe hasn't stabilized yet, and you're already building wonders? So you're a civilized player too?
