Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Wisdom and Instinct

God controls the entire world.

But this God is, after all, just a sick young woman in a wheelchair!

His supreme authority temporarily doesn't apply to this so-called "human" body.

He will feel tired and hot.

Fortunately, the sapphire Sarah sacrificed has the same effect as a small air conditioner; as long as he holds it in his palm, Vivan will feel very cool.

This summer should be relatively easy, right?

"Knock knock—"

Just as he was thinking, there was a rapid knock on the door.

"Young Miss, please don't let anything happen to you!"

Vivan's hands rested on the wheelchair. Just as he turned around, the door of the house opened with a click, and Sakuya Izayoi, the maid who had been taking care of him, rushed in anxiously from outside, carrying a vegetable basket.

"Young Miss? It's so good to know you're okay!"

When their eyes met, Sakuya Izayoi froze in place, the panic on his face vanishing, replaced by joy that rippled like the ocean tide.

"I...I lost my composure."

He babbled incoherently, unsure of what to do with his hands and feet, which made him look rather comical.

Nursery Rhyme stared at his elbow.

"Did you fall and get hurt?"

"NO."

Sakuya Izayoi quickly hid his hand behind his back.

Vivan pushed his wheelchair to the first aid kit in the living room. Although Sakuya Izayoi said he didn't need it, she still carefully tended to his wound.

"Don't worry, I won't kill myself,"

she said suddenly.

Sakuya Izayoi was stunned for a moment, staring blankly at the young woman's beautiful face, which made people's breath quicken when she acted serious.

"I was sleeping earlier and didn't realize you were calling so much, which caused a misunderstanding. I'm so sorry."

Sakuya Izayoi covered her mouth, feeling like crying.

She was certain the young woman wasn't lying to her this time, as this was the first time she had ever discussed death in front of her.

"Miss, there's no need to apologize. I was just too nervous and bothered you."

The nursery rhyme had nothing to do with this.

Her memory told her that the young woman had only had one playmate since she was a child.

Even the gods can get lonely!

"Okay."

She closed the first aid kit, her face serene.

Sakuya's face beamed with joy. "Miss, I'll prepare dinner."

As she turned, she was stopped by a nursery rhyme.

Nursery rhyme: Put your hands on your thighs.

With her back to the light from the window, her entire silhouette was bathed in a halo that seemed to possess a divine quality.

"Sister Sakuya, what makes life beautiful?"

The children's song ponders this question.

Is all she really trying to do to cure her illness, and what will happen after she recovers?

Freud said that the personality structure is divided into the id, ego, and superego.

Putting aside the ego and superego, what is her id, her instincts and desires?

Sakuya Izayoi's thinking is quite simple.

"For me, it's you, Miss."

When she couldn't afford school, it was the young woman who supported her; when her mother was ill, it was the young woman who helped her contact the hospital and pay for her surgery; and when her mother died, it was the young woman who led her funeral, which devastated her and caused her to cry uncontrollably.

She was a young woman, but in his eyes, she was more than just a young woman.

In fact, being a wealthy young woman wasn't easy either.

Although the young woman was born wealthy, her parents divorced at a young age. Her father only used her as a source of pride and a means of marriage. Therefore, the young woman desperately wanted to achieve something to break free from the constraints of her family. However, a strange illness destroyed all that.

"Hm?"

Vivian was silent for a moment, watching Sakuya Izayoi leave.

Does that count as a confession?

...

After bathing with the help of the maid, Nursery Rhyme opened God Simulator again.

During her absence, the Zerg tribe had developed rapidly.

Sarah built a large insect nest, and the insects that separated from it were systematically organized into sequences such as combat, gathering, and construction.

The Zerg appeared to be thriving, but the reality was far from optimistic.

The insects that separated from her lacked intelligence; they simply followed their roles and did what they were supposed to do. Even if they were exhausted to the point of collapse, they wouldn't complain or stop working. Capitalists would be moved by their suffering.

Zerg are still Zerg, just Sarah's Zerg!

This is the story of Sarah and her clones, who can't be called a primitive tribe, let alone a civilization.

As the only intelligent species, Sarah began to feel anxious.

Loneliness couldn't defeat her, but the passage of time could wear away anything that wasn't eternal.

One day, she would die.

So what would she leave behind?

A tribe that would collapse with her death, a nest that would be confiscated, a temple that might never be remembered.

God had bestowed upon her the seed of wisdom, but due to her lack of exploration and effort, she couldn't fully utilize this wisdom. Therefore, she hoped to make this wisdom grow and bear fruit, giving birth to even more wisdom.

Thus, even if it turned to dust, God's greatness would not be buried.

Nursery Rhyme wanted to help Sarah, but she only had one Seed of Wisdom, which she had given to Sarah.

Miracles aren't necessarily God's power; sometimes they are within themselves!

The drizzle was as fine as silk.

Sarah, lying prone in the nest, gazed at her newly hatched chicks as usual.

Her enthusiasm had long since faded, but this time, things were a little different.

"Mother."

A slight mental fluctuation caught her attention, and she stared at the ugly little insect in disbelief.

"Mother."

The mental fluctuation came again.

This time, Sarah felt it fully.

That was the wisdom of new life!

Filled with immeasurable joy, she had found a friend to share it with, allowing God's wisdom to spread throughout the world; she was no longer that one!

Sarah joyfully lifted the newborn insect high into the air.

She left her dwelling, passing the insect-filled nest, past the chirping insects outside the nest, past the green leaves, and up the long steps leading to the temple.

At this moment, even the flowing river seemed to be cheering for her.

Finally, Sarah stopped in front of a white jade stone.

Oh my God, I did it! One day, Your wisdom will shine like the sun on this boundless earth!

God, please give it a name!

She prayed that God would share some of His love with this child.

However, God gave no answer.

Vivan initially thought Sarah would sacrifice her child for him, but when he realized what had happened, he discovered his energy had been reduced by half.

"Another anchor point?"

More anchor points would allow for even more powerful miracles to be performed in that world.

This time, the God simulator didn't give him a chance to name it.

The name God gave seemed to be more than just a name; it was a form of recognition.

For example, a seed of wisdom!

Sarah was disappointed, and a sighing emoji floated above her head, but this regret was quickly overshadowed by joy.

She turned to face the rows of insects outside the temple and whispered to the insect she was holding.

"God has given us wisdom, and as God's representatives, we will spread God's glory throughout the world."

The insect on her arm echoed her: "We will conquer the earth, the sky, and all the waters under God's guidance!"

Sarah corrected her: "It's not about conquest, it's about spreading God's glory."

The insect wondered, "Why not conquer? We are God's people, we should have everything God has given us!"

Sarah was speechless.

She couldn't understand why her children weren't like that.

Until she split into a second and a third intelligent insect, she faced the same question.

Sarah realized that the strange one wasn't her child, but herself.

It was still the same.
