As the Space Yacht docked in the Mobile Suit dedicated Space Station.
All military research is kept separate from the rest of the civilian stations because of how dangerous and destructive it can be.
Because of that, it has more docking sections than civilian stations.
So when Marcus' vessel docked, there was a military Frigate docked, not that it mattered to Marcus, as he left his ship and was greeted by a token of the military that is stationed here.
"Leila, Kallen and C.C., you can go to the Main Academy Complex. Anna, you will stay with me, and we will check on Cecile together." The Emperor instructed his wives.
"Sure… I do hope you come to see the colony yourself. It has been years for you." Leila said with a small frown. Her husband was all work and no fun. He was the one who wanted humans to rule the Cosmos, yet he didn't come to check on his progress.
"I will after checking out Cecile and the new Gundams."
Now that caused everyone to perk up.
Now, Kallen and Leila wanted to see this new machine!
"I hope we will have a chance to see them." Kallen walked over.
"Of course. I will be organising transport for them to the other side of the portal." He smiled while saying that. The Inventor was happy to see that Gundams still excite them just as much as they excite him.
"You two will have a chance to see them."
"Good. For now, let's go and see the Academy." The girls began to walk towards one of the inter-colony shuttles that dot the station's hangars.
A bunch of Royal Guards followed after them.
Once they were gone, Anna strolled over to his side and hugged his hand. When Marcus looked at her, she smiled back. This was a perfect time to have him for—
"So can I see what this Eezo thing is?" Wang Liu Mei asked as she walked over to him with a curious tourist-like tone.
'Of course she is still here.'
Anna deadpanned internally as she, for a second, forgot that they had an extra.
"Sure." He nodded as he began to walk towards the interior of the station; the pair of girls and their bodyguards followed after them.
"Eezo is called Dark Matter as well. It's the building blocks of the universe. Once utilised, you can increase or decrease the weight of objects.
It might sound basic, but it's groundbreaking and revolutionary.
Once applied, we could add gravity to small warships, improve our Fusion Reactors, create proper shielding technology, and do all sorts of small or big manufacturing."
As he explained, he walked towards large windows and pointed at the sun, more precisely at the top of it.
"See that? We can already work there. But imagine that ten times what you see, if not more. It's a civilisation-changing event.
Like how it was with fire and lightning." He explained to Wang Liu Mei.
"I am already surprised you can work that close to the sun." She said with wide eyes. The girl noticed that something big was happening above the sun, but to think they are building something there….
"Anti-gravity barriers. We use a weaker version of this technology on Mars, but over the sun we use much bigger ones, to keep heat and radiation away."
"You don't say… people would burn to a crisp just by being that close." The Heiress deadpanned. She doesn't know what kind of technology it is, but it is impressive that they can do that.
"Indeed. Not even ash would remain. Regardless, once we can make Eezo and use it properly, we will explode in manufacturing, and that means we need more people." He said, turning away from the window and continuing towards the interior, where the trains are waiting for them.
Mobile suit development is a big thing in this part of the Empire, which means manufacturing is off the charts, and that makes the station huge by human standards.
"A train… inside a space station?"
"We need to pass all of the assembly lines, Wang Liu Mei. Development is on the other side. This is for the protection purposes of the engineers and mechanics of this station." He explained to her.
"If someone tries to enter and steal blueprints and schematics of the mobile suits, they will need to go to the other side of the station.
And that will take time. Not only that, but the station is segmented; it can discard parts of it and send them flying towards the sun.
I had fun designing these stations." Marcus said with a bright smile. His fellow scientists and developers agreed with him. There are many methods to protect his mobile suit secrets. Hacking or sneaking into one of his main research stations is not the easiest thing to do, not that many know which station IS responsible for Mobile Suit development in the first place.
"I see… I leave such things to you." Wang Liu Mei realised this guy knew what he was doing. So she will leave such details to him and not question him.
After boarding the train, the group was taken to another station nearby. The only way they could enter is through this train. There was even a section that leaves the station, and the train runs through the vacuum of space before entering another station.
'I suppose this is the part where the stations separate in case something goes wrong.' The Heiress enjoyed the view of the colonies before entering another station.
This one looked more like a lab or research facility than the previous one. That one was like a factory, with wide halls, robotic hands and assembly lines.
"Welcome to G-Force Development facilities. This is where Gundams are created. The head of this facility is yours truly." Marcus introduced her to the station.
"...You? Aren't you… You know, busy? Running Humanity's biggest Empire?" She asked him, confused that he also held the title of Chief Engineer.
"There is one thing you should not question about my husband, Wang Liu Mei, and that is his passion for Gundams." Anna nerviously commented as Marcus's eyebrows twitched.
"What Anna said is true. My Gundam Thrones ARE the Empire, they are a manifestation of mankind's desire for stars, I made it so, and so it will be."
"...Sorry for being stupid." The Heiress quickly apologised, she realised that this was a mirror reality. In this reality, Gundams are as important as on her homeworld. Only that in her world, Celestial Being is there to end wars, in this one, Gundams are manifestations of one's will, and in this case, it's humanity's will to dominate the very cosmos.
"Don't worry, you are new." Marcus waved his hand. This time, he forgave, but the girl didn't understand that, regardless of his titles, he would continue to make his Mobile suits.
"Thank you, but why are we here? I though we are to see what Eezo does to a human." Wang Liu Mei asked him, confused about them being here.
"That's because it originally started with Eezo being used in Fusion Reactor creation, and the most common and primary use of technology is Mobile Suits, in this case, Gundams.
Gundams are the only machines that use a fusion reactor as their primary power source. So the primary user of Eezo will be Gundams.
Once we cross that bridge and plateau this technology with Gundams, we can use it throughout the Empire.
Though by this point, we are testing Eezo first on everything, then we apply it to our technology."
"So you first apply to the military, then to civilian sectors. That's pretty much how we use it in our world." Wang Liu Mei nodded; it was the same in her world, too.
"Indeed, but this goes a step further; we first improve Gundams that my closest knights and family members pilot."
"Fufufu, family comes first." The girl giggled before they walked into the depths of the station.
They ended up in the reception-like area.
"Your Majesty! Thank god you are here, Lloyd is literally climbing walls while trying to wait for you." The receptionist lady swiftly greeted Marcus.
Wang Liu Mei looked confused, then recalled that nerdy scientists were weird; she had met several before.
"Don't worry, it will be fine. Return to your post."
"Yes, as you wish." The receptionist bowed as she returned to her email writing.
Marcus passed the reception and walked deeper into his station. His wife and the Heiress followed, behind them were their bodyguards.
Though the Celestial Being's Agent stopped when she saw statues of Gundams on the table, it looked like a family tree.
The first at the top is named Lugh…
'AGT-00 Gundam Throne Lugh… where did I hear that name before… wait! Isn't it the name of a God?'
"Curious, aren't you? These are miniature statues of my Gundams.
They are quite popular among the kids in the Empire." Marcus noticed that she was looking at the family tree.
"...Wait… you are selling figurines of your Gundams?" She looked baffled for a second. But then she realised this is a great business move and a PR stunt.
He is making these killer robots part of the wider culture.
"Indeed, extra income for my G-Force, not that I limit resources for Gundam creation, it's more like writing off staff's salaries with this money," Marcus explained what he was doing with the money he earns from selling Gundams as toys.
"Well, you are the Ruler, and you decide how the economy works."
"We don't mess with the economy if this is what you think." Anna chipped in. She spends quite a bit of time with Leila when it comes to money.
"Inflating and deflating prices is not the best for the happiness of the populations."
"...Even when you deflate princes?" Wang Liu Mei asked, a bit confused, since, as a rich Heiress, her understanding of prices is basic.
"Indeed. Normal people love it when everything is cheap, but corporations don't, and it could lead to layoffs.
So we have to balance it. We do have money, resources, and food stored away, in case we need to flood the markets when there is a shortage, and if there is overabundance, we buyoff the excess." She explained to her.
"I see… since it's basically a single country, you don't need to trade with anyone… I never considered THAT!"
"Yes. You can say we are moderators." Anna replied, she felt like she was a mod of a webpage. In truth, it's more than that. But still, she moderates everything through her laptop. The power of Legion OS is sometimes a bit too much.
"Fufufu, I guess you are."
Wang Liu Mei giggled a bit when she heard that comparison it made her recall some of the Internet's memes. But then her gaze returned to the 'Gundam Family Tree'.
After Lugh, there were two major splits. On the far right, there was a 'Gundam' tree; their names were far different and not named after Gods, they were a bit basic, like Strike, Duel, Aegis, Buster, Blitz… there were two new additions from the looks of it, the print was new, and the figures were not finished yet.
These two are named Impulse and Saviour.
But then her gaze went below Lugh, the 'main tree'; this one was full of machines named after gods.
This is where the Heiress realised something… the sheer number of Gundams this empire has… Celestial Being will have a hard time resisting them if it comes to direct blows.
Thankfully for them… from what she saw, there is only a handful of them on the other side of the portal.
"...There is one missing." Wang Liu Mei noticed that AGT-51 was missing.
"Not missing, I never brought Ecne to the 3rd generation, a bit of a dangerous Gundam. Besides, the pilot would never want pilot that machine, so at one point I had two of them."
As he explained it, Anna looked at the family tree more closely and saw that AGT-71 existed! That means Marrybell's machine was ready!
