Shinra turned 16. He had learned to use and control his magic, but his parents knew his true potential was still untapped.
"Shinra," Ayumi said one evening, "your power is too big for this forest. You need to see the world."
Kenji added, "We want to send you to the Royal Magic University 🏛️ for admission. Only the most powerful students are admitted there, and many great magicians study there. Perhaps there you will find someone like yourself, or understand the true meaning of your power."
Thus, Shinra, with the secret of his Black Symbol and the mysteries of the forest, set off for the University.
🗺️ Entrance Exam: The Dimensional Challenge 🌀
The entrance exam for the Magic University was unique. Students were sent into a separate Dimension 🌀 where they had to survive for two days. This Dimension was filled with C and D-Rank Demons. Students had to kill them and defend themselves for two days. Many powerful students had come seeking admission.
Shinra entered this dimension as well. He tried to hide his power, using it only when absolutely necessary. He easily killed the Demons 👹 that crossed his path, but he mimicked the appearance of common magic.
⚔️ The Demon of the Dimension and Shinra's Explosion
The first day of the exam passed, and the second, the final day, arrived. As Shinra delved deeper into the Dimension, he witnessed a terrifying sight. The Dimension's Rank 1 Demon 😈—who had become exceedingly powerful by feeding on the weak Demons and students there—was about to devour a frightened girl.
Just then, Shinra arrived with the speed of lightning and saved the girl. The Demon turned towards him furiously, and a fierce battle began between Shinra and the Demon 🔥. Shinra was still trying to hide his power, which caused the Demon to gain the upper hand. A strong blow from the Demon pushed Shinra back.
At that moment, Shinra stopped hiding his power. His Black Symbol 🖤 flashed, and the Black Sword ⚔️ was summoned again. Shinra struck the Demon with such force that the A-Rank Demon was not only killed, but the explosion of his power shattered the entire Dimension! 💥
This was the first time this had ever happened in the history of the Magic University. The shattering of the Dimension flung all the students and Demons out instantly. The University's professors and magicians were astonished, but no one understood how this had happened.
Following this incident, a total of 50 students were admitted to the University, including Shinra.
