"Advance," he said in a low voice, not once taking his eyes off the Entity.
The order had barely left Kenneth's lips before the formation surged forward.
The swordsmen struck first.
Steel rang against flesh as two cadets split apart, attacking from opposite flanks in a practiced maneuver meant to divide the Entity's attention. One aimed high for the shoulder while the other swept low toward its legs, their blades moving with the precision expected of First Division cadets.
The Entity moved, not quickly, but with the effortlessness of someone who's done this before.
It shifted its weight ever so slightly, allowing the first blade to scrape harmlessly across its forearm before lifting one enormous leg and bringing it crashing down where the second cadet had been standing only moments before.
The ground erupted.
Black stone burst upward in jagged shards as the cadet threw himself into a roll, narrowly escaping being crushed.
"Again!" Kenneth barked.
