Chapter 5 - BROTHER

MAYA'S POV

It has been a week since I came to live in Ethan's mansion and I love it here, and Ethan is like the brother I never had and today was a very special day for me. It was my first day at work as a designer, I know you're all wondering what happened but relax I'll get there. So it turns out Ethan's grandma Was a jewellery and fashion designer and had left everything to her beloved grandson who was now the owner of Bloom Vogue .Although he didn't spend most of his time there as he was a CEO of his own architect company E.M Architecture, he still kept his grandma's company going and that is how I was now employed to work there.

I wore a black tailored blazer paired with a crisp white shirt and fitted black trousers and apair of black heels. I made my way to the dining room where I found Andrea already eating his breakfast. Andrea, yeah that is Ethan's first name, he hates it because to him It's feminine and I use mostly just to tease him.

"Wow, you look ridiculous" Ethan said as Maya walked in

" Huh"

" I mean that you look ridiculous in a good way, that is not creepy" He took a pause before he spoke again " you look beautiful"

" Thank you ,you don't look bad yourself and good morning"

"Morning to you too, so you're ready for your first day at work?"

" Yes ,Couldn't be more ready"

" Good, prepare yourself it's not going to be easy but I believe in you and I know you can make it"

After breakfast Ethan drove Maya to Bloom Vogue in his Bentley Continental. Maya knew she had to work extra hard in order to succeed. Despite the hardships she had been through in life she found solace in her design work. She poured her emotions into her craft, using fashion as a way to express herself and heal. She also found support from fellow artist and Ethan who understood her struggles and encouraged her to keep pursuing her dreams.

Time passed and she slowly begin to heal. She network with other designers, attending fashion events and joining online communities to connect with like-minded creatives. The hush reality hit her like a ton of bricks as she began to navigate the cutthroat world of fashion.

Bloom Vogue had grown into a massive company under the supervision of Maya as she was now the COO of the company. Despite her best efforts Maya struggled to make a name for herself in the industry. She faced scepticism from industry insiders who doubted her abilities and told her she was just another wannabe designer trying to make it in the city. She felt like she was constantly fighting and uphill battle with no end in sight.

She worked hard day and night but one critique from a prominent designer left Maya questioning her very purpose. She felt like giving up, wondering if she was good enough ,If she was talented enough. But something inside her refused to let her quit. She remembered why she started designing in the first place- the thrill of creating something beautiful ,the joy of seeing her ideas come to life.

As Maya navigated the ups and downs of her journey, she slowly began to rebuild her sense of self-worth. She learned to trust herself and her abilities, and she discovered a strength and resilience she never knew she had. With each small victory, Maya felt more confident in her ability to overcome adversity and achieve her goals.

Slowly but surely, Maya started to gain traction. Her designs were featured in boutiques. She began to build a loyal following on social media and her brand "Sky" started to gain momentum.

It wasn't easy, and there were still moments of doubt and uncertainty. But Maya refused to give up on her dreams. She kept pushing forward ,fuelled by her passion and determination. And as she looked out at the Manhattan Skyline, she knew that she was exactly The rhyme where she was meant to be- chasing her dreams, one sketch at a time.
