Aron's Pov
We were still hiding in the room waiting for the terrorists to leave. I was wrapping my arms around Aurora trying to calm her down. Honestly I felt strange and safe with her at the same time. She just relaxed into my arms while trying to blur the images of dead bodies in her head
"I la mi ti bi (Peace will come to you soon" i suddenly said
She looked at me with confused eyes
"What language was that?" She asked
"I don't remember, the words just came out of me" I said feeling shocked myself
She just stared at me for a while
"Maybe it's a foreign language"she finally said waving it off
"Yeah. I can't hear the helicopter sounds anymore, i think they're gone" I said
She listened and then nodded, though I could still hear people screaming, i couldn't hear the helicopter sound anymore.
"I think we should stay here for a while" she said tightening her handkerchief around her nose
"Yeah..." I was interrupted by the sudden banging on the door of the room we were in
"Who's that?" She panicked
"Stay behind me" I said as I pulled her behind me and faced the door
Beads of sweat trickled down my face as I waited for the worse to happen. The intruders continued banging on the door trying to break it down. I gently grabbed a plank that was lying nearby and got ready to attack
The door finally broke down with a loud thud and two masked guys holding guns entered into the room. i could feel Aurora shaking behind me
"Don't worry, just stay behind me. Immediately i say run, you for the door okay?" I whispered to her
She just nodded like a scaredy cat
"Fresh meat" one of the terrorists said "hey you two come over here!"
I slowly stood up
"Please don't harm us" Aurora cried
"Get ready to meet the purple judge" one of them said
That word "purple judge" sounded familiar to me but I just waved it off.
"We don't want trouble, please leave us alone" i said
"Chaos is where we thrive" one of them chuckled
"Enough talking brother, deal with them" the other one said as he quickly pulled out his gun and started shooting at me
I quickly dodged it while Aurora screamed and hid behind an old table in the room, i was really surprised at how fast my reflexes were. With something unknown fueling, i lunged for the masked guy with the gun and knocked his gun out of his hand. The other one tried to grab me from the back but i gave him a painful back kick and he fell down, groaning.
"Shit" he cursed
I quickly grabbed the gun and shot the other one. He died on the spot instantly, i was shocked because I don't remember ever handling a gun this well. Something about me screams danger
"Aron help!!!"
I quickly turned to see the guy i kicked holding Aurora by the throat
"Move an inch and the lady gets it" he threatened
"Okay please don't harm her" i said raising my hands
"Drop the weapon" he yelled
I slowly dropped the plank and gun i was holding. Aurora was crying as the guy held her very tight
"Good" he smiled "now kick the gun towards me"
I obeyed
He grabbed the gun while still holding Aurora and pointed it towards me
"You shouldn't have tried to stand up to the purple Lagoon. I la bi mpi (Get ready to die)
For some reason I understood him
"Aron run!" Aurora screamed
"Shut up" the guy yelled and tightened his hold around her neck
"Leave me alone you bastard!" Aurora yelled trying to free herself
The guy just ignored her and immediately pulled the trigger. To my utmost shock, i dodged the bullet with the speed of a cheetah and rushed towards the guy. I kicked the gun out of his hand and gave him a deadly blow, he stumbled back freeing Aurora.
"Run now!" I shouted at Aurora
She nodded and quickly raced for the door
The masked guy stood up again and tried to hit me but I grabbed his hand, kicking him to the floor again. He groaned in pain, i continued punching him untill blood started oozing out of his mask
"Stop...." He groaned
I stopped punching him and removed his mask. His face was familiar, though the room was a bit dark i felt like I had seen this face before
"Who are you?" I asked feeling suddenly dizzy
The guy's swollen eyes landed on my face and he just stared at me in shock
"Aron?" He said in shock
"How do you know my name?" I held him
"Aron don't you remember me Agu, we thought you were dead. You betrayal, what's happening? Have you joined the enemies?!" He said angrily
I was so confused that my vision blurred for a bit and I became dizzy. Images of dead bodies, purple lights, guns, terrorists and a strange man flashed across my mind. I held my head in confusion trying to remember who I was
"Everyone down!"
I suddenly snapped out of my trance and turned towards the door to see military men matching into the room with Aurora and her friends (Anna and Michael)
"You're safe now" the army commander said
Aurora rushed towards me and hugged me
"Are you okay? I went to get help"
I just kept quiet since I was still feeling dizzy
"We were heading to your house when we saw people running. I called your dad and he sent his men to help us" I heard Anna say "i hope you guys haven't been infected
Anna and Michael were wearing nose masks too
"We're fine"
The military grabbed the two mask men out of the room while I just stood there watching them take Agu out of the room. He glared at me with hurtful and betrayed eyes. I was starting to remember bits and bits of who i was, i remembered Agu and two other guys i couldn't recognise fully. How and why i was part of this masked group, i couldn't tell. There was still a part of my mind that blurred, a part of me that I couldn't piece together. Somehow I just felt like not remembering anything cause it hurt to know i was part of a group causing mayhem to Lagos and Aurora (who i was starting to warm up to)
"...Aron? Are you going okay?" I felt someone shaking me
I tried to look at the person but dark spots appeared in my mind and everywhere blurred. Soon i fell into unconsciousness
