Fueled by greed, leaders wage wars, yet why must the innocent people suffer?
Why do the soldiers give their life on the battlefield just for some make-believe words of sympathy from men with none?
What of their families?
The truth gets silenced whenever people with power speak.
In the eyes of a child, the remaining bits of humanity loses its spark as it witnesses the blood and manslaughter smeared on the battlefield.
While it is true that war creates tough men, is it really necessary?
Has peace among people become a distant dream?
Has justice ceased to exist?
No.
The truth is that people don't speak up for themselves anymore. They don't have the guts to speak up against those with power. They value their own lives and it is not wrong.
Men betray the lives of others to save their own skins but the story of the one who gets ran over lives forever.
When the roles are reversed, Justice takes its true form.
Over 1600 years ago, nations went to war.
Uncountable lives lost, ashes and embers everywhere as the battlefields were surrounded by the cries of brave men, fighting for the lives in the face of death, for what?
For honor? For respect? No.
To satisfy the hungers of those above the ranks.
Many protested but all were silenced.
Human's nature of war never changes.
But among the ones who protested were a race who longed for peace.
They tried to negotiate.
But words failed, therefore they had to take actions instead.
Instead, the people of the race were marked to be hunted down.
That was the breaking point.
5 great men from this race, vowed to stop the war.
They resolved to bring an end to it, now and forever.
One of the five made an appearance on each battlefield.
This race was a peculiar one.
They had their own concept which resembled magic.
The electric current that flowed through their body took form of the elements in their surroundings.
When they unlock their true power, a crown of electricity takes form around their head and thunderstorm forms around them during this state
This peculiar look earned this race the name "VoltenCrowns"
* This state was only achieved by the five voltencrowns who put an end to the war.
They made their appearance on the battlefield, one by one, and put an end to it.
They ended the war not by violence, but crushing the heart of the enemies.
Armies retreated out of fear, and those who dared to put up a fight were exterminated.
These five men were given the name "Executioners" by the men who lived to tell the tale.
Seeing this, people took advantage of the chaos and overthrew the people at the top.
The new generation of leaders shook hands with the Executioners and reached an agreement to renounce war, once and for all.
With this agreement, each Executioner went their separate paths with their followers and established their own cities and regions
These 5 cities were built facing each other in the shape of a pentagon.
The areas that lied between them were completely free of war, mainly due to fear of the VoltenCrowns.
Over time, the locations were made hidden from the public and these cities were regarded as lost cities, but it was still inhabited by the VoltenCrowns.
Many tried to search for it but it was never found by anyone, no matter how hard they tried.
The only thing that kept the fear of VoltenCrowns alive in the leaders of the new generation is that each every few years an Executioner had a meeting with the leaders to make sure the agreement was never forgotten.
They also observed the increase in the quality of life of the humans as there were schools, hospitals and job opportunities being created.
VoltenCrowns usually live a long life, around an estimated of 1000 years.
The Executioners decided that if taught to the wrong hands, the VoltenCrown state would be very dangerous, therefore they created a weaker version of the primordial raw power of the said state and named them "Bursts".
The descendants of the Executioners can't access the VoltenCrown state but they are strong regardless of it.
The weaker version of the primordial abilities were also made available for the average VoltenCrown.
Meaning any VoltenCrown could learn it and utilise it for self defence.
Although their abilities after the war were mainly used for hunting and self defence against wild animals after the war, if trained, the abilities of a VoltenCrown is higher than human magic.
VoltenCrowns resemble humans so they can blend in within human society, but since everything is available within the Pentagon cities, a rule was made that no VoltenCrown should leave the city unless given permission by the magistrate of the city (descendant of the Executioners)
The descendants of the Executioners, were taught to be kind individuals, but strict in the matter of ruling. They were skilled warriors too.
In the new generations after the war, people didn't care about races, as the fear of the VoltenCrowns and Executioners in the mind of the people decreased.
But during the time of the renouncing of war, many were afraid of the VoltenCrowns. For humans, it would be comparable as an animal being afraid for a foreign object or being, until they are familiarized.
During times of need, the magistrates of the Pentagon send VoltenCrowns out in human societies to teach the humans about various skills such as science and medicine, some VoltenCrowns stay in human societies permanently.
The human race started trusting the VoltenCrowns and co-operated.
By no means were the human race weak. But due to the breaking down and rebuilding of societies, humanity had gotten weaker, but they got back up on their feet and started establishing cities and villages and even complex settlements.
As of now, the VoltenCrown race and the Human race walk hand-in-hand and peace has been established, but the destructive abilities of people cannot be trusted.
War always finds a way.
