Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

I cleared my throat moving back a little. "My son," I finally groaned out. "I need to see him. Where is Kimal right now?"

Kael sighed, rubbing the space between his eyes.

His gaze wasn't angry anymore, just heavy and filled with exhaustion, I felt a little bit of pity, he looked like he was going through a lot.

"He's fine, Aria. Seriously. He's fast asleep in the nursery suite. You don't need to worry about a thing."

"Don't tell me not to worry!" I snapped

"He is my son. I am his mother! You kidnap us and then tell me to just relax because he's with a stranger? Who the hell does that, Kael? Only me, only I know if he's actually okay!"

He took a slow step toward me, and I braced myself, ready to fight.

"I know. You're right to be angry, I won't even tell you to be not be anymore."

"But first, you. You need to settle down. I'm calling someone to clean this up. Go. Go lie down."

I stood there, glaring, refusing to move.

"Take a rest Aria, our son is good," he repeated but softer this time, almost sounded like a plead.

Then before I could even get to understand what was going on, he wrapped his arms around my waist, and pulled me hard against his chest.

I froze completely.

My brain screamed "Get away!" But my body... my body was useless, my body felt like it had been craving this for the longest time.

I hated that I could still smell him, that I felt a tiny, horrible shock relaxation even in the hands of my kidnapper.

It wasn't the fast , crushing Alpha hug, the one he used to give me years ago but something that screamed "I'm here for you".

I hated that even now, maybe ten percent of my heart just melted for a second because it was familiar.

Then he let go, stepping back as fast as he could.

"Sleep, Aria," he whispered, "I'll be back soon."

He turned and left, locking the door again.

I stood there, utterly stunned, touching the spot on my shirt where his hands had rested, I couldn't still believe he just did that, I hadn't felt like that in a very long time, In years actually and it lowkey felt so good, I wanted more but I have to hold my self and get out from here even if not for anything but for the safety of my son.

Seraphina's Pov

"Arggghhh! Kael, Aria!!" I yelled slamming the heavy door to the guest room.

I wasn't stable, I felt like I was losing my mind. I started pacing immediately, ripping off my scarf and throwing them across the room.

"How could you Kael, made a fool out of me? Asking me to leave? Siding Aria? That useless wolf? A wolf who hasn't shifted in years?"

"I am the Luna! The perfect one for you kael, how could you drive me out of my own room, our room, the room we shared memories, I should sleep in another room? When I'm meant to sleep on the alpha's bed? I sleep in the Alpha's bed! Now a complete stranger sleeps on it" I kicked my shiny boots against the thick wall.

"And now I'm being put to the same room where the traveling salesmen stay! I am a guest in my own castle! This is insane!"

I couldnt cry, I didn't even have time to, all I felt was pain. He chose that dirty low life rat over me, his actual Luna.

Kael

You never seem to stop amazing me do you?

"You've always been blinded by the past," I hissed looking at the mirror. "You've always been weak for her. I have to fix this, and I have to fix it quick."

Delaying a second wouldn't Favour me, especially now that I was being forced to stay in the room of a commoner and very soon i might be treated as one if I don't act fast. she would just play the victim, and I would lose everything.

I stopped pacing and called the kitchen.

A young maid, Lena, answered, she was scared of me, and looked like the perfect maid for the job.

I made my voice sweet and calm so she would feel calm a little.

"Lena, the Alpha has given me a new, very sensitive duty. I need to make sure Aria is comfortable. She needs a special medicinal tea, as she's weak from the stress she's been under."

"Oh, yes, Luna."

"Perfect. Aria needs a tray sent up to the Alpha's room immediately. Herbal tea, and some soup. But first, I have a special ingredient that I need you to use, this would help her a lot." I reached into my small shoulder bag and pulled out the small plastic bag I've always had with me.

I got previously from a stranger while I was still out in the woods but never got to use it, I can't remember why I bought it but now it has some good use, she said it was tasteless and fast-acting.

"Listen to me, Lena." I dropped my voice low.

"When you deliver this, you must make sure no one sees what you put in the cup. This is a luna secret, and if you breathe a single word of this to anyone, or a single soul, your whole family will disappear by morning. Do you understand your instructions?"

The silence stretched long and weird but I didn't care.

"Yes, Luna. I understand." She muttered

"Good girl." I hung up, feeling a wave of satisfaction.

Problem solved.

"By morning, Kael would be heartbroken, but atleast he would be mine again. And Aria would just be a bad memory." I said twirling my hair like the same way I did imaging some good fantasies.

"Yayyy!!!" I clapped my hands exicited, the dopamine rush was crazy, I could already imagine how beautiful she looked dead!
