"I'm not lying to you", Zimo said, feeling his strength slowly drain from his body.
Gu Yuxuan walked closer to him. "Since the truth is able to dishearten you so much, I'd rather not hear it. Let's go."
He turned and walked in. Zimo felt half relieved but still fully anxious about the whole situation. At least he still had this moment. With everything beginning to unravel, spending every moment with Gu Yuxuan felt like something that had to be cherished.
As they walked through the quiet apartments, faint noises came from Gu Yuxuan's office.
Finding Lingling sorting through papers, they walked in.
"Mr Gu", she greeted.
"You're here so early?" Zimo asked, walking over to see what she was busy with.
"Have you gathered most of the things?" Gu Yuxuan asked.
"I have everything ready here", Lingling said, pointing at two boxes in front of her.
"These things look so serious. Am I allowed to be here?" Zimo asked, scanning the documents in front of him.
