Chapter 554 - Chapter 554: One-Shotting the Hulk, Tearing Apart Leviathans

Staring into the starlight of the portal, the crowd's breathing grew heavy.

Garp was the first to act. Tossing aside his Justice coat entirely, the old Marine hero marched forward, his tanned torso bare.

"I'm heading in first! Let's go drag this Thanos out and give him a severe beating!" Garp roared with a deafening laugh, diving headfirst into the starry expanse.

"Garp, you idiot, wait! This is a team instance!" Sengoku screamed, but Garp was already gone. Grinding his teeth, Sengoku swung his arm. "All Marines, move out!"

Akainu lowered his cap and marched in with heavy steps.

Kizaru followed at a leisurely pace, hands deep in his pockets.

Whitebeard, wielding Murakumogiri, led his crew straight into the light.

Kaido aggressively shoved the lesser pirates aside, his hulking frame squeezing through the gateway.

Soon, every top-tier combatant had vanished into the rift.

Standing behind his counter, Blake sipped his juice, looking out at the suddenly empty street. The show had finally begun.

. . .

New York. 2012.

The sky was violently torn open by a massive, circular wormhole.

Swarms of Chitauri soldiers poured out like a plague of locusts, surfing on high-speed gliders as they descended upon the prosperous city. Explosions and terrified screams echoed through the concrete canyons.

High above Stark Tower, a hundred-meter-long Leviathan slithered through the air, its sheer mass effortlessly shattering a glass skyscraper.

Down in the smoke-filled streets, the Hulk unleashed a world-shaking roar. He seized a yellow taxi and hurled it like a baseball into a passing Chitauri glider, vaporizing it into a fireball.

Still unsatisfied, the raging giant aggressively pounded his broad chest before grabbing a fallen alien soldier and repeatedly smashing him against the asphalt like a ragdoll.

Meanwhile, huddled in a dark alley two blocks away, four figures peaked out cautiously.

They were the future Avengers—Captain America, Iron Man, Ant-Man, and the now-peaceful Smart Hulk—having utilized Pym Particles to time-travel back to 2012.

Their objective: steal the Space and Time Stones amid the chaos.

Watching his past self furiously destroy the street, Smart Hulk covered his face in extreme embarrassment.

"Was I really that aggressive?"

Future Captain America patted his arm.

"Go on, Hulk. Smash some things. Blend in."

Sighing, Smart Hulk tore his shirt open, lumbered over to a wrecked car, and gave its hood a highly unenthusiastic punch.

Suddenly, a spatial tear ripped open in the sky about a hundred meters above the city center.

Out dropped a white-haired old man wearing beach shorts.

[Ding! Assigned to Alien Overlord Faction. Native power systems currently under universe law suppression.]

Ignoring the system's cold notification entirely, Garp casually adjusted his trajectory mid-fall and slammed down onto the roof of a city bus.

The catastrophic impact instantly flattened the massive vehicle into a metal pancake.

Standing up straight, he dug a finger into his nose and surveyed his surroundings. Towering steel buildings, bizarre flying creatures, and massive armored beasts swimming through the air.

"Are these the aliens the Manager mentioned?" Garp mused, flicking away his booger. "Damn, they're ugly. Not even half as fun to look at as the Sea Kings I used to punch in the Calm Belt."

A nearby Chitauri glider quickly zeroed in on the old man.

Two soldiers aimed their rifles, firing highly lethal bolts of blue plasma energy directly at him.

Garp didn't even attempt to dodge.

The energy blasts struck his bare, heavily muscled chest, failing to leave even a single white mark. The absolute, terrifying defense granted by his Sage Body rendered attacks of this caliber completely useless.

Garp grinned fiercely.

"You dare play pirate with attacks this weak?"

He bent his knees and kicked off. The ruined bus beneath him exploded entirely as Garp launched himself into the sky like an artillery shell, instantly closing the gap to the glider.

Relying entirely on raw physical strength—not even bothering to apply Haki—he threw a punch straight into the vehicle's armored hull.

Before the sound of the explosion could even register, the sheer kinetic force of the blow instantly atomized the entire craft and its two riders into a cloud of metallic dust.

Down on the street, the 2012 Hulk witnessed the entire display.

Driven by pure rage and an unyielding thirst for battle, the giant immediately found a new target.

Bending his legs and shattering the asphalt, Hulk launched himself upward, aiming straight for Garp.

"HULK! SMASH!"

Roaring fiercely, Hulk raised his massive, tank-crushing fists, preparing to bring them down on Garp's head.

Just as Garp was about to deal with the giant Leviathan, he heard the commotion and turned, spotting the massive green brute soaring toward him.

"Oh?" Garp's eyes lit up with extreme excitement. "This big green guy looks pretty sturdy! Finally, a decent punching bag!"

Refusing to use Moonwalk to dodge, Garp hovered mid-air and met the incoming strike head-on, throwing his own right fist forward.

Two fists—one massive and green, one calloused and human-sized—collided violently above the streets of New York.

No elemental Chakra. No Tremor Fruit shockwaves. Just the pure, unadulterated clash of absolute physical kinetic energy.

A deafening thunderclap ripped through the sky, unleashing a visible shockwave of white air that blasted outward, instantly shattering the windows of dozens of surrounding skyscrapers.

Then, the entire battlefield fell dead silent as the impossible occurred.

The green giant who claimed to be the strongest on Earth, possessing limitless physical strength—couldn't hold out for even a single second.

His massive arm bones snapped with a sickening, twisted crunch.

The giant was blown backward at ten times the speed he had approached, shooting through the air like a green comet.

He smashed cleanly through five consecutive buildings before violently cratering into a subway tunnel, completely knocked out.

Hovering in the sky, the 2012 Iron Man nearly misfired his repulsors and plummeted.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.! What the hell was that?!"

"Sir, scans indicate the target is a human male, but his muscle density and energy output exceed all known laws of physics," the AI replied.

Down in the alley, the time-traveling Avengers were absolutely dumbfounded.

Ant-Man swallowed hard, his voice trembling.

"Stark, when you were telling me about the Battle of New York, did you happen to leave out the part where an old man in beach shorts punched the Hulk into next week?"

Future Iron Man's face was utterly grim. Checking the biometric scans on his HUD, he frowned deeply.

"The timeline has been compromised. Someone just interfered in this battle, and he's an absolute anomaly."

Smart Hulk pushed his glasses up his nose, staring nervously in the direction his past self had just been blasted. He rubbed his chest out of phantom sympathy.

"That old guy hits way harder than Thanos."

High above, Garp rolled his shoulder and clicked his tongue in extreme annoyance.

"What the hell? You're so big, but your bones are so brittle. I didn't even use twenty percent of my strength."

Losing interest in the green monster entirely, Garp turned his attention upward to the massive Leviathan soaring overhead. At least that thing was big enough to take a few hits.

Kicking off the air, Garp initiated Moonwalk, tearing through the sky like a blur and instantly appearing right above the beast's head.

The Leviathan shrieked, opening its razor-lined maw to swallow this insignificant speck whole.

Garp threw his head back and laughed.

"Get down here!"

Raising his fists, he instantly coated them in jet-black Armament Haki.

"Fist Bone Meteor Swarm!"

A torrential downpour of heavy, apocalyptic punches slammed into the Leviathan's indestructible alien plating. Every single strike triggered an ear-splitting sonic boom.

The creature couldn't even manage a scream. Its heavy armor, designed to withstand direct missile strikes, crumpled like wet tissue paper under Garp's iron fists.

From head to tail, the hundred-meter-long monstrosity was brutally hammered into dozens of severed chunks.

A gruesome waterfall of alien blood and twisted metal rained down upon the city.

Landing heavily onto a falling piece of armor plating, Garp planted his hands on his hips and screamed at the massive wormhole in the sky.

"Too weak! All of you are too damn weak! Where the hell is this Thanos guy hiding?! Get out here and fight me!"
