Chapter 140: The Jade God Concept Ability

Gion cursed inwardly, but her gaze grew even sharper.

As a Great Swordswoman, her dignity would never allow her to back down.

"Armament Haki — Moon Breaker!"

Gion let out a low shout. Her Haki was no longer just a coating; it began to flow and permeate.

If she couldn't cut through the outer skin, she would destroy him from the inside!

Seizing a gap in Shendu's attack, Gion ducked low. Konpira, wreathed in dark red lightning, stabbed viciously into Shendu's abdomen.

SPLURT!

The sound of a blade entering flesh finally rang out.

The long sword pierced through the dragon scales, sinking deep into his body.

"Got him!"

Gion felt a surge of joy.

However, when she looked up, she saw Shendu's mocking face.

"That hurts, woman."

Shendu looked down at the sword stuck in his belly, his tone as flat as if he were commenting on the weather.

"But, it's useless."

Hum!

Horse Talisman, Healing Power!

Dog Talisman, Immortality!

A white light flashed at the wound. The muscles and internal organs destroyed by Ryuo (Flowing Sakura) regenerated instantly. Even the dragon scales grew back, firmly clamping onto Konpira's blade.

"What?!"

Gion turned pale with shock.

This kind of regeneration... even an Awakened Zoan user couldn't be this absurd!

It was practically an undying body!

"Had enough fun?"

A trace of impatience flashed in Shendu's eyes.

He suddenly grabbed the blade of Konpira with one hand, while his other hand condensed violent plasma.

"Then die!"

Eye Beams!

Zzzzt!

Two high-voltage electric currents blasted directly onto Gion's body.

Even with Armament Haki defense, Gion was blown away, crashing heavily into the water tank on the rooftop.

The massive iron water tank exploded instantly. Tons of cold water poured down, drenching her like a drowned rat.

"Cough, cough..."

Gion half-knelt in the water, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of her mouth.

Konpira in her hand trembled slightly.

Can't be killed, can't be cut, fast speed, great strength, can fly, and can shoot lasers.

This was a hexagonal warrior with maxed-out stats!

"Boring tricks."

Shendu floated in mid-air, looking down condescendingly at the disheveled Gion.

He didn't pursue the victory.

Because he sensed it.

On the other side of the ocean, in the kingdom that once belonged to him, his dragon army was calling him.

"Although I really want to crush you, I have more important things to do."

Shendu turned around, looking towards the eastern horizon.

"My palace, my kingdom, and those damned traitors..."

"Hong Kong, I am coming!"

BOOM!

The Rooster Talisman and Rabbit Talisman activated simultaneously.

Shendu transformed into a crimson meteor, breaking the sound barrier instantly. Dragging a long vapor trail through the night sky, he disappeared into the depths of the clouds in the blink of an eye.

"Stop!"

Gion struggled to stand up, stepping on Moonwalk (Geppo) to rush into the sky.

But the speed of that red light was simply too fast; in a blink, it was just a small black dot.

Although Moonwalk allowed aerial movement, in terms of long-distance flight speed, it couldn't compare to this kind of supersonic flight at all.

"Damn it!"

Gion landed back on the rooftop unwillingly, smashing her fist onto the railing, pulverizing the concrete.

The mission did not prompt failure.

This meant that this monster named "Shendu" was the core objective of this dungeon.

Just then.

Thwack thwack thwack thwack thwack—

The roar of helicopter propellers came from overhead.

Several blinding searchlight beams instantly locked onto Gion on the rooftop.

"People below, listen up!"

"This is Section 13! You are surrounded!"

"Drop your weapons! Hands on your head!"

The strong wind whipped Gion's wet hair wildly.

She narrowed her eyes, looking at the several black helicopters hovering in mid-air.

They bore a special insignia.

The cabin doors opened, and several fully armed agents aimed their guns at her.

On one of the helicopters, a bald man in a trench coat was shouting through a megaphone.

Beside him, a man with a big nose poked his head out, gesturing anxiously.

"Captain Black! Be careful! That woman was just fighting the demon toe-to-toe!"

"Jackie, I know! That's why I brought heavy firepower!"

Captain Black put down the megaphone, his expression serious.

"Ma'am! I repeat! Drop your weapon!"

Gion slowly sheathed her sword.

She looked around at the dark muzzles pointing at her. Instead of being nervous, she adjusted her slightly messy collar.

Although she didn't know what this "Section 13" organization was.

But since they also called that monster a "demon," then they were enemies of her enemy.

"My name is Gion."

Although Gion's voice wasn't loud, with the enhancement of Haki, it clearly penetrated the noise of the propellers and reached everyone's ears.

"I think we need to talk."

.....

San Francisco, Section 13 Underground Base.

The cold metal walls reflected the pale fluorescent light, and the air was filled with a mixture of machine oil and stale coffee.

Gion sat on the interrogation chair, her hands not handcuffed.

In front of her was a cup of steaming instant coffee.

Captain Black sat opposite, his bald head reflecting the light slightly. He held a freshly printed report, his brows furrowed, occasionally looking up at the woman in the Justice coat opposite him.

"No fingerprint records, no facial recognition info, not even dental records. It's blank."

Black threw the report on the table, leaned forward, and rested his chin on his crossed hands.

"Ms. Momousagi, or should I call you... Vice Admiral Gion?"

"In this country, or even on this planet, there is no data about you. It's like you popped out of thin air."

Gion picked up the coffee and took a sip, then frowned in disgust.

Too sweet, and it had a taste of cheap saccharin.

"I told you, I come from a mysterious place."

"I know! Like the Avengers!"

A crisp child's voice abruptly broke the tense atmosphere in the interrogation room.

Captain Black's bald head jerked toward the door, veins throbbing on his temple.

Jackie Chan clutched his head, wailing in a breakdown.

"Jade?! Oh my god, you should be sleeping in the antique shop! Or at school! Anyway, you shouldn't be here!"

By the heavy metal door, a little girl in an orange hoodie was clinging to the doorframe, leaning half her body in.

She completely ignored Jackie's meltdown, her big eyes staring sparklingly at Gion in the chair.

"Just like Thor!"

Jade excitedly mimed swinging a hammer, then pointed at Konpira at Gion's waist.

"Although you're holding a sword, that aura descending from the sky just now, and that crackling stuff... Haki? It was totally cool!"

"I bet you're definitely not an Earthling, or some super soldier from a secret experiment, right?"

Gion raised an eyebrow, putting down the cup of terrible instant coffee.

"Avengers? Thor?"

Unfamiliar vocabulary.

But judging from the little girl's admiring gaze, they shouldn't be derogatory terms.

"Jade!"

Jackie scrambled over, trying to push the little girl out, while turning his head to explain to Black.

"Black, I swear I locked the door! Is Section 13's security system just for show?"

"How did you get in?"

Captain Black also looked like he was doubting life itself. Section 13 was known as the safest place in America.

Jade shrugged, acting as if it were obvious.

"Took the stairs, duh."
