It had already been quite some time since Gideon and Caelius began lingering around the quiet village where Soren lived but they kept their distance, careful not to reveal themselves too soon. Both of them knew that if they suddenly appeared in front of Soren, it might only make things worse for him.
The last thing they wanted was to stir unnecessary trouble or draw attention to him.
So instead, they remained in the shadows of the village while watching, observing and waiting.
During those days of silent lurking, they even slowly became familiar with the people around Soren.
They noticed who he usually visited, who often came to the villa and who seemed to have business with him.
A few of those people even crossed paths with Gideon and Caelius from time to time while realizing that the two strangers clearly had something to do with Soren yet none of them dared to approach Soren about it.
