David's POV
Her responses were absolutely mesmerizing, and they were making me lose my mind. I hadn't planned any of this when I first opened my mouth, but watching her face change, seeing her breath catch, all I could think about was pulling her closer and discovering just how perfectly she would fit against me.
She was driving me to the edge of sanity.
No woman had ever affected me this way. Not one. And she wasn't making this simple by melting into my arms like every other woman did. Her resistance only made me want her more.
"That's... I mean..." she stuttered, her face flushed pink, eyes fixed on my shirt instead of meeting my gaze.
God, the way she transformed when I cornered her like this was incredible. Every micro-expression, every little tell that gave away what she was thinking.
"This is happening too fast, David," she whispered, but her voice lacked conviction.
