Chapter 23 - "The Silent Confession & The Inordinate Escape"

Cleyn left the room and started searching around the whole area. He was damn sure he would find a suspicious thing.

His 6th sense wasn't lying this time.

Cleyn gingerly looked around all the three floors one by one.

He started looking closely in every room available but most of them were locked or had a 'Do not enter' warning signs.

On the other hand, Amerio and Blayne talked for a while.

After that, Blayne decided to take a small nap so Amerio left for home.

He promised that he would come around to meet his homie again.

Cleyn stopped outside one of the rooms with the address as:

[Floor 3, Block Y2, Room 673].

He heard two people talking inside the room, in a whispering tone.

Cleyn decided to activate the poco attached to his left ear which he always used to carry.

"Listen I don't think so that guy should have survived that crash." One of the voices came buzzing in Cleyn's long ear.

"I still have no clue how he did so because the amount of chemical added in there was strong enough to either destroy human into pieces or in case of escape, the intensity would be fast enough causing deadly fatal injuries." The second voice muttered too with a confused tone.

"I hope we get the task done this time. We got two weeks to complete the task and make our master happy." The first voice whispered again.

"Can't he come along and help us with that? How are we supposed to do that task when the complete team of that freak checks upon him from time to time." The second voice responded with aggression.

"He stays in the dark but would offer us the instructions." The first voice said with cheerful tone.

"Should we start today?" The second voice came with a suspicion.

"We will wait for his instructions. After that we would continue with the silent poison." The first voice said with clear voice.

While listening this, Cleyn heard footsteps coming his way so he had to start his own type of acting.

He saw a doctor and nurse coming his way so he decided to move away from that room and hid in the corridor.

When the doctor and nurse neared that room, both the voices went silent.

Cleyn wasn't interested in the lovey dovey convo that the doctor and nurse were having so he decided to come back towards Blayne.

"Wake up Blayne, I am afraid I got bad news." Cleyn said, slowly moving towards Blayne.

"Chill sweet heart. I know the deal." Blayne said, moving his head towards Cleyn.

"Wait what? Really?" Cleyn said with a suspicious look.

"Yeah all I know is....I would be losing my chance to miss my sugarplum's birthday tonight" Blayne stopped and picked his phone mid conversation.

Cleyn received a message on his phone upon which he knew he had to silently change the convo.

The message said: "The clock on the wall has a time bomb. It would go off in less than a week. I saw similar ones at the factory. Also there are camera's installed in the whole room from windows to that frame you were staring at and also the ceiling fan. The only way to diffuse or close them is get the remote control and also try to act nonchalant so nobody knows what we are upto."

Cleyn replied with a quick Alright, hiding his phone in the process.

"Who is it big guy?" Blayne said, acting to look confused.

"Nothing. It's just my wife trying to know when I will be home." Cleyn responded with the same level of intent.

"Alright buddy. It's getting late too. You should head home." Blayne said with a smile on his face.

"Take immense care of yourself. I will be heading back to you soon." Cleyn said and left with a goodbye.

Blayne knew he had less time to get his way out. He needed a quick plan B followed by Plan C.

He decided to use the sympathy card around.

He stood there faking his tears often as a rehearsal.

Blayne knew that many cameras surrounded him, doing surveillance on him and his surroundings but none could read his mind.

He saw a cold air rush into the room. He looked slowly towards the door.

It was one of the nurses making her way inside the room.

He wasn't sure if she was an authentic one or suspicious one so he started to start his acting.

She came closer trying to inject a fluid into Blayne's arm but before she could do so Blayne started weeping.

She stood there completely shocked and unable to react.

The injection made its way out of her hands back to the tray she brought back along.

"What's the matter sir?" The nurse said in a friendly tone.

"Actually I miss her so bad." Blayne said, his crying getting more 'intense'.

"Who are you talking about sir?" The nurse sat beside Blayne, trying to console him.

"It was my first and only girl friend. She meant the world to me." Blayne said while 'crying intensely'.

"She was the only one who loved me for who I was after my mother." Blayne continued with heavy jerking in the bed.

"Ohh dear, so sorry to hear all that but what happened to her?" The nurse asked, holding Blayne's right hand.

A smile covered whole face of Blayne underneath the left arm he was holding in front of his face.

Blayne created a fake scenario in order to make more dramatic and spicy for more ease.

"I started to like this one cute and macroni headed brunette girl back in college. She meant the world to me. Slowly, her haircut became odd. She started losing hair. She became a baldie after she was baddie. I still loved her." Blayne said, weeping heavily.

"Ohh dear! So sorry!" The nurse added with empathy.

"We used to joke around about who will get bald first. She won that contest & I lost everything." Blayne said, holding a cloth to weep his tears.

"Ohhh my..." The nurse said, tears rolling over her eyes aswell.

"The doctor told her to early that she had cancer and she wouldn't survive long. Now the same has been told to me." Blayne said, weeping and sniffling.

"You will be fine honey. Don't cry and lose yourself." The nurse said, holding Blayne's hand more tighter.

"Ma'am could you do me a favour and let me see her grave for one last time before I die?" Blayne added, the tears forming a river over his chin.

"We need to get permission for that first. This ain't illegal." She added, trying to pick the injection again.

"Well we know many things illegal over here." Blayne said with a slow voice.

"Excuse me?" The nurse said, being unable to proceed what Blayne said.

"Nothing. I just heavily.....miss her." Blayne added, starting to weep again.

"Look the doctors had told me I just have a few weeks left. Please let me meet her." Blayne continued, the sobbing getting more heavy.

This made her feel bad for him even more and help the wannabe poor fellow.

She decided to fulfil his wish.

She completely forgot what she was there for.

"What do you want me to do for you?" The nurse said, tears dropping from her dumpling shaped eyes.

"Let me escape this room and hospital in general. I want to see her grave for one last time please." Blayne said, trying to put the 'tears' away.

"Alright but do promise me that you would accompany me back here after offering prayers or emotional expression." She said, trying to put the injection back in the box.

"Deal." Blayne added, his face glowing with a smile.

"Deal." The nurse said, with a smile aswell.

"Your good name by the way lady?" Blayne said, with shy expressions.

"Sherry Sheffield." She added, taking the stretcher from the back.

"Nice to meet you Miss Sherry." Blayne added, trying to give a handshake.

"It's nice to meet you too, Mr Blayne I presume." She added with a handshake aswell.

"Yeah you are alright but its better that you call me mine." Blayne said, turning his face aside immediately.

The nurse started to blush a bit but continued taking the stretcher out.

When both of them left the hallway, many people particularly the patients were confused to think about where she was carrying him. Many people knew that Blayne was the owner of the hospital except a few of them like Sherry.

The nurse had tears in his eyes. Many people assumed that perhaps it was the end of Mr Blayne while many thought it was just one more affair added to his name.

Even the hateful faces oftening wearing doctor suits and murses were looking out with eyes in complete disbelief and with raised eye brows.

Blayne continued rolling to his lefts and rights again and again trying to overturn the stretcher. He closely held one of the nut bolts of the stretcher loosening the screws.

He knew it was time to execute his Plan B.

Both approached an area which was complete filled with masses, particularly the reception area.

Blayne with full force turned to his right and the stretcher overturned.

Blayne pressed his wrist watch twice which he was wearing.

It meant that it was the buzzer to an emergency fire alarm.

All the fire alarms were struck and with heavy noises back and forth, everbody started rushing back and forth.

Everybody was pushing around trying their level best to escape.

The nurse Sherry also vanished in the ongoing evacuation.

Blayne saw this as an opportunity in order to escape the area where he was supposed to be butchered.

He opened one of the doors to the side rooms and escaped through an exit only he knew existed.
